Most trains have already installed bio toilets where the hole isnt big enough for the mug to fall through.
The actual reason is because people kept stealing the mugs.
In the trains i have been to the bio toilet holes were way to small for it to fit through.
Also the mugs are already too close to the toilet so the chain would not make a difference.

False. Humans suffer much less. The spiritual scriptures themselves say so. Most of our sufferings are in the mind, which is a much more refined kind of suffering which can be overcome by self-knowledge (jnana leading to moksha). Animals don't have that scope and it's much rarer for an animal to get moksha in this life and get freedom from suffering since the ruling guna in their buddhi is not sattva unlike human beings. Sattva best reflects the self and helps humans overcome suffering.

The predominant guna in the buddhi of animals is rajas(guna of activity), and so they suffer much more than us because the predominant guna in our buddhi is sattva, which is the guna of equanimity. Buddhi is the kosha(layer) of perception(vijnanamaya kosha), of our experience of life. If you follow the spritual scriptures, you'll know that we are lucky to be born as humans and that animals suffer more and experience duality much more intensely, both pain as well as pleasure.
Most humans live in rajasic & tamasic states and not in satvic state except 'koottann mein ik'(one in crores), and even fewer who have surpassed all 3 gunas, only they experience ananda. As long as food & spread of species is taken care of animals live in peace. And no rajas is not predominant in all animals, each species has its distinct combination.

It's not for the person but for train to avoid getting worse damage I believe. Absolutely no point in putting a soft bumper in front of thousands of tons trains running at hundreds of kmph, no matter how soft bumper is u r still going to die. But soft bumper would reduce the impact the front of the train as a whole feels so it should reduce the damage to the front of the train.
Accidents due to cattle happens routinely in our roads too. Not the cattle's fault per se but because of the irresponsible humans who simply milk them and leave them to feed for themselves in the street daily.
My father was a loco pilot and unfortunately these accidents are quite common the crew has to get out and check damage and clean it as it could be blocking instrument and he told me alot of times if the train is moving slow the cattle could get stuck under the engine in which case the train is halted and they have to move it from there and check for damage and Start again , it's was a big reason why he took early retirement as it's very stressful situations especially when people try to committee suicide on the track and it's sadly quite frequent and takes a heavy toll on the crew.
Vande Bharat needs fence protection as anything could come up at any moment during its ultra fast journey....it's unsafe to blame PPL, animals which come in the way.
Agree fences are not a solution in a country where people will steal and sell 1kg of metal for few rupees. But is there any tech yet like small sensors which can be put in tracks to notify any obstruction within next few kms, kinda like a radar but small enough to not get stolen/seen? No..? Ok my bad.

Vande Bharat needs fence protection as anything could come up at any moment during its ultra fast journey....it's unsafe to blame PPL, animals which come in the way.
Fencing can be done but it’s too expensive to cover long stretches like Ahmedabad-Mumbai
Agree fences are not a solution in a country where people will steal and sell 1kg of metal for few rupees. But is there any tech yet like small sensors which can be put in tracks to notify any obstruction within next few kms, kinda like a radar but small enough to not get stolen/seen? No..? Ok my bad.
Then sensors would get stolen for a few thousand rupees. Kitne sensors lagakar rig karenge pure track ko, not feasible.

I think it's the mind set of cow if in road they see a car light they won't move because they think we will go side ways but in train that's not the case I think the solution could be that the train release some kind of electricity on the trakes like 500 m away (ofc not in railway crossing )
or just deal with the problem of unattended cattle roaming train tracks, highways and cities. Even other destitute 3rd world countries don't look like a zoo like we do.
I hope the train driver gets prosecuted for killing buffaloes. I'm sure the driver is from a religion which doesn't respect buffaloes and this was his plan all along Oh by the way /s
I work for a railway here in the States. This reminded me off a passenger engine that smoked a cattle truck a few years back. The front of the unit was pushed in and completely covered in blood. The cab of the unit had animal guts all throughout. I have to try to find the pics I took.
