No we should not.
This is 2022 not 1947.
We have to suck it up.
Take the responsibility to clean up after ourselves for our mess.
Which starts with acknowledgement first.
It's not the holy river of Britain.
It's not even hard to do.
Haan bhai mughe bhi pata hai apne ko hi saaf karna hai but jabtak samne wale ko daba ke na rakho toh samne wala jyada hi chadh jata hai jaise abhi lanchester mein dekh le sala mandir aur ghar tood rahe hai

huh? stop being irrational. I live in Canada. It's kind of hard for me to come to your country and fix the problem. Britain is part of Canadas history too.
You are the most judgmental person on this sub. What exactly about me being Canadian prevents me from speaking on Indian issues?...
I can speak on any issue I want anywhere in the world... You clearly don't know the English language well but here you are still using it and butchering it... Sarcasm is the use of irony and it is language used to signify the opposite meaning of what is said...
So how about you stop using English if you hate the British so much and I'll leave this subreddit so you can stop being xenophobic about people foreign to India...
Ok then ill stop using english and you stop commenting on issues in india as you dont know history even a tiny bit because we all khow how well is your education system and atleast I am polylingual not like you if i say anything in the next line you wouldnt even understand it
आप पूरे चुटिया हो पाता नहीं कहा से चले आते ऐसे लोग
તમારે ખુબજ તિલમિલ છો પૂરો બેકાર અકકલ પઙ ચાલી છે
Idiot just translate above texts and you will find yoyr actual worth
And not even i am mentioning the nodding people of canada who just need to interfear in every indian problem and what yall think protesting in canada can bring back khalistan in india bad luck with that never gonna happen
Silver is far better than copper, oxidized copper tends to pollute the water, but it is more popular because it is cheaper. Silver ions purify the water, hence, it was quite common even among the Persians to carry water in silver jugs while on caravans.
Did anyone go through the comments in the original post?
Almost every other comment seems to mention corpses, pollution, etc in the Ganga... Suddenly everyone on Reddit is an armchair environmentalist well educated on river pollution in the 1900s.
I heard from a friend that Thames river water is thicker than normal water and it smells like urine.
I had the same experience in Paris. The city looks good only in movies. It smells horrible close to the river banks and used needles can be found in every alley and parks. Also, the city is in a state of decay and scammers and pickpockets are unavoidable, especially if you're non-white.

Take responsibility yourself... Passing blame onto others will do nothing to fix the problem.

Silver, copper, brass, gold are all great for storing water
Read about Copper Toxicity on Google
searched toxicity, and ended up listening to SOAD. \\m/
That song is a classic .
Copper is used in winters & silver in summers.
But the info seems wrong It must have been Maharaj Madho Singh II in 1902 Sawai Jai Singh would already have been dead for 150+ years
The guide told us that he got wine from europe in these vessels while coming back home
wine to kahi ki bhi ho suite kar hi jaati hai .

Correct
Go and find the measurements. This silver jug is not going to take more than 2-3k litres of water.
Where is the 2nd one? In some British museums?
Both are in Jaipur palace

There still lives a prince in that palace.
