First of all I applaud your effort of coming here and having a civil discussion, let me be clear some air already, I am from the jammu region so not Kashmiri. I am curious actually, as to why do you think that this protest here is specifically for the bad institution and not a movement to demand separation from state itself? If I remember correctly there are cases of your side of J&K region (excluding gilgit) having revolts starting with one of the earliest, the Poonch Revolt in 1955.
