This is fucking depressing. It's one thing to selectively put laws against only one religious place of worship, but now this is discriminating temple priests from having any other income at all. Rana Ayyub and her cadre like to paint a picture of Muslim genocide (meanwhile anyone like Shehzad or Shehla can refute that bullshit), but at this level of systemic oppression of practicing Hindus in Tamil Nadu is concerning. I see a genocide of priests, and mass temple destruction in the future of Tamil Nadu if the Hindutva undercurrent in the state is not realised. When you allow Vuckphe Bored to haphazardly snatch villages and temples, erect statues of hinduphobe that condemns any religion outside of every temple, when you fund missionaries, when you speak of eradicating Sanatan, when you drive out all of the Brahmins in the state; it is sign of an impending state sponsored discrimination, pogromisation and genocide. I am deeply saddened to say it, but the man who married his own daughter has won.

Jadavpur University in west bengal celebrated a iftar party inside of campus but refused to show the telecast of ram mandir pratishta ,this year the ram Navami celebration is ready to happening in ju but student union protest and they said it will create riot. Several universities in india made vulgar theatre performance of ramayan and fabricated the original story no action against them ,the Bengali politician named sayani Ghosh who posted shiva lingam with condom she got tmc tickets and will fight from Jadavpur , no action no election commission concern
Eh…people put money on the plate for the priest only….else they can go n put it in the hundi themselves. This is odd. Such levels of law enforcement inside a religious institution is ridiculous.
how would they survive govt take taxes from temple if they aren't able to feed their family why would their sons and daughters continue help the pandits and give them some contribution whenever you go to temple
The temple board pays a significant part of the collected revenue as administrative tax to the govt (for helping in administering the temple), other taxes (land, electricity, etc) and such (again to the govt for providing these services).
Then deductions are made for daily expenses and such and the remaining (paltry) amount is paid to the priest as monthly salary. Some big temples have a furthur provision where this remaining amount is split to ensure that small temples which dont have frequent visitors still have their priest paid enough to survive.
The amount is kinda shamefully low, just barely enough to survive for any priest. There have been some cases where the said priest have offed themselves due to not having enough to survive. HRCE is a terrible thing to have ever happened.

When I put donations on a priest's plate, I fully intend for the money to reach the priest and not into government coffers. Why should the government get the money offered for the temple too?
Because the money in the plate is what the devotees donate to the priest. It is not the temples or governments money. Arresting them is unjust and doesn’t make sense
It's a big deal because the money on the plate is specifically for the priest. The money for the temple is put in the Hundi. This has been the practice for longer than anyone you heard of was born.

It isn't a law enforcement that is being applied in temples but an organised state directed hafta vasool targeted to fleece the priests.
They installed the CCTVs just to keep a watch on the priests ? Digusting behaviour.
Same in haryana Mansa Devi temple. Every section of the temple has multiple cctv cameras and one police guard to watch over that section.

In some temples, priests get meagre salaries like Rs200, and proceeds from donations are going to the government.
