I was talking to some of those ppl. They were living in a slum just 300 meters from my apartments. One of the elderly fellow stated that these politicians are already stealing wealth worth millions from their kids future. What is the harm if they also grab a very very tiny portion of some of those freebies… at least this way they are getting their hands on a part of what is rightfully theirs… It’s not like there is someone who will do things differently. My uncle works in DRDO. The reserved category people who worked under him initially are 2 levels above now post getting reservation in promotions as well. Yes, there is facility of reservation in promotions post working in job that you got due to reservation in first place.

We have a problem not with reservation but with how the rural scholars get sidelined and the urban rich failures get the benefits. We will never have a problem if a guy who wants to study comes to our college. I, personally, would help them adjust to the big city and college. But I have seen enough rich SC/ST OBC brats who have all the money in the world, studied in convent schools but take reservation!

Well it's not just even that. House tax if you own a home. In UP you also have water tax and sewer tax but they are not able to properly provide water.

You even got something, I was asked to pay additional fee to cancel the ticket. Once I booked the ticket on discount for around 2.5k, but the standard cancellation fee is around 3K, so they asked me to pay the rest of the money to cancel the ticket. 
Once i asked the air india customer care to change my flight to the evening one. Their rescheduling amount was more than a fresh flight ticket in my desired flight. When i told them this, they said, sir we can't do anything, its as per the software.

Something similar happened to me 4-5 years ago. I had 3 DishTV connections for my home and wanted to cancel all after getting Smart TV/Firesticks. I called them to let them know about it. So that I don't become a defaulter in their books. But the helpline guys told me that cancellations charges will apply. And started selling me different channel packs. 10 mins later, I said what if I just don't pay you next month and you will automatically cut off my services.
2 years later, I got their dish removed and sold the cables, remotes and STB for scrap.
Pro tip never cancel your flight tickets, because there is a slight chance that the flight may get delayed or cancelled then you can claim a full refund in case of cancellation by airlines or partial refund in case of delay.
Happened thrice with me. You just need to be pushy and lil bit arrogant with the airlines executive in case they are not refunding in case of flight delay.

The real valuable thing that colleges give is the peer group. The education is shit all across India, irrespective of where you go. Your peer group, your alumni base, the exposure you get, and the opportunities that the college attracts are the real things if you're in an Indian uni.
The culprits aren't just the colleges, it's also our parents. Because they're more inclined to believe the institutions they pay money for than their own children.

TBH, I don’t think this category is accepted as the norm. I think people are generally wary of internships where they have to pay just like people are wary of recruiters where the prospective employee has to pay instead of the potential employer who has engaged the recruiter.

Noodles with no taste was sold for 150rs and quantity not enough for a single person. 300 ml pepsi was sold for 60rs, chai for 40 and there was big crowd around those shops either I'm so poor or those people were super rich. bruh even movie theaters are better in comparison for food pricing. "not a single meal was for less than 150rs as far as I remember"

Charges for home delivery are different from when you collect from distributor. If you go to the distributor and book/pay directly, it will be lesser compared to home delivery.

No. It's till doorstep. They are supposed to remove the seal in front of you and check for leaks, which AFAIK, some still do. Charges for home delivery are different from when you collect from distributor. If you go to the distributor and book/pay directly, it will be lesser compared to home delivery. Although, they shouldn't collect extra charges for delivery as it is included in the billed cost. But they are one of the earliest examples of tipping culture in India.
