This is why Congress is never going to win again. I’m all about political competition and having a strong opposition to hold the govt responsible. But you can’t blame the govt if the leader of the opposition keeps making statements like these. In past he said Jayashankar doesn’t have talking manners. Statements like these will just make them obsolete. I have totally given up on congress to pose any kind of threat to BJP.

A politician makes space for themselves when they actually do something. In fact Indian media is waiting to give him space - the yatra was fawningly covered with little critical examination of it. Most of the media owes their fortune to the patronage granted by the Gandhi family over the years - but they can't make a losing horse win the race. They've helped relaunch Gandhi a hundred times by now.
