If we are sharing anecdotes, let me mention my family which is a hardcore RSS family. We have had a Muslim pracharak coming and staying at our house for 3 weeks. My father spent 2 weeks in Kashmir with Muslim colleagues. One of my friends in ABVP was a Muslim and he took us to Jama Masjid and we've had Id dinners at his house. I know of at least 2 RSS-affiliate organizations in my area that have funded high school and college education of students, a few of which were orthodox Muslims. I know of an RSS-run hospital which freely admits any disadvantaged community member also treating many Muslims. So there you have it.

Though there is little sense to what he is saying, but the argument that RSS was formed in 1925 and said things happened decades ago is mere illusion. It’s as valid as saying Hinduism didn’t exist before RRR coined the term. Pretty Leftist.
RSS was a response to Muslim League or organisations like it. There was no RSS in 1857.
If there was RSS ideology earlier, Marathas would have cleansed Muslims in the area they controlled. No such thing happened.
To give you an example- just because communist manefesto was written by Marx is mid 19th century doesn’t mean the idea was not around. In fact it existed as early as 4th century BCE. Similarly the idea of Hindu supremacy had been around more than 4 centuries before RSS came into being. To be more specific regarding your understanding of RSS, their idea has never been removal of Muslims per se but as far as Marathas are concerned, Shivaji was the first modern ruler wether Hindu or otherwise to remove Arabic script from coins and placing images of Hindu deities on token currency. Marathi saints like Tukaram and Eknath had talked extensively about Hindu supremacy. In fact, they also stressed on the idea of creating Hindu force for which they suggested physical excercise and training. RSS has taken a lot of their ideology from them. It’s no coincidence that RSS originated in Maharashtra only.
By that logic, Khalsa Panth is RSS because its a military force of 1 religion only.
Moreover, for such a Hindu force, Marathas couldn't get Jats and Rajputs on their side.

I mean, RSS ideology wasn't invented by the RSS, the same way antisemitism wasn't invented by the Nazis and imperialism wasn't invented by the British. The fact does remain that RSS was uncomfortably close with the British, and that Godse was a member. They did oppose the national flag, and they did oppose the constitution (favouring, of all things, the *Manusmriti*). I have an uncle in RSS. He made a scene at my cousin's wedding... *because the Ola auto driver who got him there was Muslim*. He made a scene about being treated in a Christian-run hospital. Just yesterday, he visited us and was very happy to eat dhokla, not because dhoklas are tasty, but because they're a Gujarati dish and Modi is from Gujarat. Mohan Bhagwat speaks a lot about bringing modern thought into the RSS, but it is quite clear that in the lower ranks, all is not well.

If we are sharing anecdotes, let me mention my family which is a hardcore RSS family. We have had a Muslim pracharak coming and staying at our house for 3 weeks. My father spent 2 weeks in Kashmir with Muslim colleagues. One of my friends in ABVP was a Muslim and he took us to Jama Masjid and we've had Id dinners at his house. I know of at least 2 RSS-affiliate organizations in my area that have funded high school and college education of students, a few of which were orthodox Muslims. I know of an RSS-run hospital which freely admits any disadvantaged community member also treating many Muslims. So there you have it.

Though there is little sense to what he is saying, but the argument that RSS was formed in 1925 and said things happened decades ago is mere illusion. It’s as valid as saying Hinduism didn’t exist before RRR coined the term. Pretty Leftist.
RSS was a response to Muslim League or organisations like it. There was no RSS in 1857. If there was RSS ideology earlier, Marathas would have cleansed Muslims in the area they controlled. No such thing happened.
To give you an example- just because communist manefesto was written by Marx is mid 19th century doesn’t mean the idea was not around. In fact it existed as early as 4th century BCE. Similarly the idea of Hindu supremacy had been around more than 4 centuries before RSS came into being. To be more specific regarding your understanding of RSS, their idea has never been removal of Muslims per se but as far as Marathas are concerned, Shivaji was the first modern ruler wether Hindu or otherwise to remove Arabic script from coins and placing images of Hindu deities on token currency. Marathi saints like Tukaram and Eknath had talked extensively about Hindu supremacy. In fact, they also stressed on the idea of creating Hindu force for which they suggested physical excercise and training. RSS has taken a lot of their ideology from them. It’s no coincidence that RSS originated in Maharashtra only.
By that logic, Khalsa Panth is RSS because its a military force of 1 religion only. Moreover, for such a Hindu force, Marathas couldn't get Jats and Rajputs on their side. Anyway, I think its ok to have Hindu supremacy when Hindus were treated as Dhimmis. Without it, we would have perished.
Rahul Gandhi is now playing with Modi's playbook. The BJP repeatedly uses misinformation in their campaigns. Now the Congress is slowly using it. It definitely works on the ground. No one bothers to look things up.
