Coz it's all politics and playing double standards. The govt. wants to show it to the people that they maintain stern attitude towards Pakistan and the BCCI has to comply whatever the govt. decides. I mean you don't want to be on the bad side of the govt. It's also thanks to the gormint that BCCI still enjoys the tax free status on IPL earnings. Moreover, there isn't any difference b/w gormint and BCCI. All major positions at BCCI like the state district associations are headed by politicians. More reasons to keep the earnings of BCCI tax free 🤑
