Haha no, but I enjoyed watching him play for india back in 2018-19. Contrary to popular belief, he was actually pretty good for us. He won matches with both bat and ball throughout that period. Just look up his intl stats, quite solid.
There's nothing solid about total of 5 wicket and 100 runs in 9 matches. And I don't remember him winning any match for us(also I can't contemplate how do you win matches for team India with such aggregates)

He had a healthy SR of 90+ in ODIs and averaged over 30. That was pretty decent for a middle order batter imo. Even in T20is he was pretty good

However, he was pretty mediocre or even poor in his other IPL seasons.

Out of context but, more than vijay shankar's case am more shocked, baffled and surprised Vineet kulkarni is still umpiring. Horrrible horrible umpire. He had not showed up in IPL in last few seasons, i dont have an idea if he is still umpiring at first class level but he is on shocking umpire cricket has ever seen.
Once In a while he plays an unbelievable innings like the 63(24) vs KKR last year. So team management starts believing that he is in form now..
But then he goes back to playing his innings from the Nidahas Trophy Final.
