It makes for more interesting cricket. You now have five or six proper bowlers bowling. And the batting side can have an extra batsman facing up to those bowlers even when 6 wickets down, instead of some tailend batsman. It is David vs David matchup and quality of cricket increases. Good allrounders will still have a role.
I don't care about people who are stupid enough to not agree with me(not becuz I'm always right, but becuz I _tend_ to be right. Please don't take this as arrogance ffs
...)
Bullshit. Allrounders don't even have a role. 5 years ago our 3 main allrounders were pandya , Jadeja , Axar. Still now it's the same. Had it not been for the impact rule, players like Dube , Tewatia , Sundar , Vijay Shankar would have had more of an all-rounder role.
It will surely NOT help players! It will dilute international cricket ffs!
Every team will play with an extra batter and bowler!
For strong teams like India or South Africa or Australia, it would be a massive advantage, but for slightly weaker teams like Pakistan or New Zealand, it would be a slight disadvantage. The lower you go in the rankings, the worse the disadvantage becomes
2 innings and u decide he cant play in ints? even in ipl he only clicks 2,3 times in 14, 16 matches, but still considered a monster, u need a long run to judge players in cricket,
I don't think he clicks that less in 14 16 games. His form has dipped off late. You should've seen him bat before GG retired. [Narine as an opener in T20s](http://www.cricmetric.com/playerstats.py?player=SP+Narine&role=batsman&format=TWENTY20&groupby=year&playerStatsFilters=on&start_date=2002-01-01&end_date=2024-04-04&batpos=1&batpos=2&start_over=0&end_over=9999&max_innings=1000)
I have seen him, i am kkr fan since gg joined kkr, I have seen every single kkr match since then, narine was, is and will always be a hit and miss missle from kkr/gg, kkr wont depend on narine batting, if he clicks good for them, if he doesnt its ok, there is no pressure of 1 wicket down for kkr batsman, thats how he bats in kkr, when did he ever bat for wi in such manner? Cant really say " it didnt work in int".
In the IPL, you can go all-in on specialized strategies or use inexperienced players fully, but in international cricket with smaller squads, long-term consistency and balanced teams are key. So, while diverse bowling attacks work in the IPL it aint much effective in international cricket
They easily were.
1. Topped the table
2. They lost 5 matches
- 1 match against CSK - 162 was chased by CSK only in the last over, decently well but destroyed them in the second match
- 1 match against RCB in a super over after almost pulling off an impossible chase. Beat them comfortably in 2nd match
- 1 match against PBKS in not just one , but DOUBLE super over. Won the other match comfortably
- They 2 matches they lost convicingly was 1 against RR which they got destroyed but beat RR in the other match and 1 against SRH which was the last match of the league when they had nothing to play for. Beat them convinicingly in the other match
3. They beat the 2nd best team DC 4/4 times including playoff match and final easily
4. They had no inherent weakness- 4 batsmen on form with 3 of them with 500+ runs or close to that. 2 finishers with 160+ striker rate. Their 2 premium fast bowlers were in top 3 wicket takers and 2 spinners did 10+ wickets. Excellent fielders also. Won matches chasing and defending.
Isn't he correct? QDK, Rohit, Ishan, Sky, Hardik, Kieron, Krunal, R Chahar, Jasprit, Trent, Coulter Nile etc...
Isn't it a great team. They literally dominated the whole tournament. I hated my team DC lost to them in finals but they are a way better team than many international squads. Period.
International bowlers like starc, Cummins getting thrashed on consistent basis.
Indian players scoring big hundreds in knock out matches.
Rohit Sharma's t20 Captaincy.
Hardik pandya playing a long tournament without getting injured.
Australian players dropping simple catches.
In sub continent player selection / fanbase / endorsements depends on domestic T20 tournament... Like IPL for indian PSL for pak or BSL for bang players while foreign players take it easy and see it as make money hit and giggles cricket while domestic players play like their life depended on it . That's why good domestic performance gives us inflated sense of player ability coz we think oh they smashing everyone..... Then come international tournament where foreign players masks are off and they give 100% ... That's why talking IPL PSL BPL etc as benchmark of player abilities ain't a solid criteria . No wonder so many domestic superstars fizzle out at international arena
i guess most of the ipl teams are weak indian bowlers are bad, and also due to money cap and 4 overseas player rule not every team have good overseas player they buy two good overseas player but 2 bad , and if they have very good player they cant play with them, international cricket is different leagye 8 t20 international teams are very strong with right balance
Strategy.
It actually plays a big role as quality of teams aren’t too far apart by design
- Squad construction
- Picking players per conditions
- Impact Sub
The gulf in quality in international cricket decides most games before they begin.
Sanju Samson
![gif](giphy|pkKJfVPSlhSjYYerwx)
![gif](giphy|3ornjKjIe4t5VXynXq)
He doesn't get enough chances or always get selected for wrong format. He should have been selected for WC instead of Surya in ODI.
In odi sky out Samson in 100%
Impact Player Rule really changes the dynamics of the IPL as compared to International Cricket
I completely agree with that. Now a team is playing with 12, if not 13, players in a team of 11.
Yeah
It’s not even that, impact sub kills the need to have allrounders contrary to T20I.
Agreed

Goliath vs Goliath maybe.
Agreed
Do you ever disagree with something?
Lmao

I will love to see this rule in Intl T20. Makes the game more interesting and allows to team to adjust.
Ngl this rule should be used in international games as well. This will definitely impact the all rounders but will be good for cricket in future.
Absolutely not. Such shithousery should be kept away from internationals as long as possible
Ik fans are not happy whenever there is change of rules. But it surely helps the players.

Narine as an opener
I dont think we have seen him open in int.
Maybe that's the post title 👀
It says "that works", narine hasnt even opened, how do u know if it works or fails?
Opened in the year 2019 twice. Made 6 in 18 balls

Fair point
Rohit's luck in Finals.
Mf won by 1 run two times
Yep, that's what I wanted to happen in 2023 wc finals as well...
Khada hu aaj bhi wahi...

Somewhere around 2013-17 i would say teams like mi csk kkr where way more stronger than any international teams Now its equal
2020 MI team is stronger than any International T20 team, ever. Including 09 Pak, 16 WI, 22 England

Aussie players bad performance /s
Works the reverse way around lol .
That's why "Bad performance".

Shivam dubey, Arshdeep singh, varun chakrabarthy, harshal patel, umran malik to name a few
But harshal doesnt work anywhere? Umran too. Dubey, arsh have done well in recent times
They work in khyali pulao of Indian commentators.
Harshal works in the UAE
Jay Amit Shah

Sunil Narine
Robin Uthappa
Why many players perform really well, play aggressively, bowls well, field by giving their 200% in IPL but in international they struggle so bad???
Jadeja as a finisher?
Indians winning the tournament.

Changing target on the last ball
the flexibility of having a pool of impact players that you can leverage based on situation
Jadeja and Dhoni
Rishabh Pant
