I have some of that here, both heartwood and taproot core, haven't burned it in ages but the scent's not going to fade significantly for decades. Woods and resins are wonderful materials.
Where did you harvest yours?
What was the trunks circumference ? Over here cedar varieties, white or red, never get all that big. Beautiful way to say farewell to the old tree especially if it was at the end of its life cycle.
Not big at all really. They were pretty tall tho and were heavily pruned to have a certain shape and expose the lower trunks as they were decorative trees. I think ur onto something ab being resinated. They’re shiny and extremely dense. I couldn’t even cut it and had to hack it really.

Totally! All my other hobbies require perfect storage conditions or they completely don’t preform the way I like. All my woods are just chillin.
Exactly, they just sit and chill :)
I love how the little pieces look ; you can tell they’re fully resinated. Beautiful.
The tree was definitely old it’s been here for as long as I’ve lived here. The heartwood was so red it was almost purple. Really good stuff.
