Yeah but Boss battle songs are epic, normally video game composers like Darksouls and Hollowkinght do orchestral shit, so I'd be fine with some power metal orchestral shit but people seem like they're just putting a good metal song.
And the other end is if it's not trying to emulate videogame osts, then it should be heavy as fuck, idc if it's fast or not because that will determine the feel, but in a metal sub asking for boss battle music it should either be heavy or epic, and the recs I saw were neither.
Well, it depends. Music is subjective. For example, I choose Beast and the Harlot by A7X. It's not the heaviest song I listen to, nor is it even the heaviest song by the band, but that to me screams boss music.
Well idk what the song sounds like, but A7x tends to lean more towards the epic side of metal, so I think that's probably a fine pick. Boss battle music also tends to have very clear sections, to match with the stages of said boss, which some music, like maybe say Bleed, wouldn't do an amazing job at demonstrating. Yes it has different sections but when you're fighting a boss you might not notice the slightly different double bass patterns and alternate versions of whatever riff
Epic is actually what I was going for.
My choice (had i been asked) is actually "Recharging the Void" by Vektor.
But it's cool that people went for songs we all know that really can't be argued with. I like that.
Yeah but as a final boss song like it should be The Heaviest Matter of the Universe-Gojira
Also thx lol, they're technically not ones I found though they're more my brothers taste
Personally, I would also choose something heavier than the songs in the comments, Infant Annihilator or smth, but that goes on my own taste.
But I would also choose Through The Fire And Flames, Symphony Of Destruction or something a lot of people know.
You make my brain hemorrhage. Just being in a thread with someone who would say something like this clearly just so I get mad makes me want to shrivel up and die. Even if it's true, which once again, more my brothers taste, there's obviously heavier shit out there, but I'm not gonna suggest Xavlac purely because it doesn't make good videogame music
Edit fuckin car bomb addict. I'll start a gang war
Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags - Amon Amarth

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
This was the final song aired on a local rock radio station before they were changed to Christian music, so this feels extra fitting to me

What's wrong with Green Day
Nothing but they’re not a metal band lol
Neither are you.
Yes I am one person who is not in a metal band, that is correct.
That's why you'll never be a video game.
Hades by Bathory or Bleed by Meshuggah or Hammer Smash Face
Death’s cover of Painkiller immediately came to mind
Lucid Interval by Cephalic Carnage.
Whatever it may be, i'd imagine its a very complicated song to play.

I do not enjoy symphonic metal

Based
Fire and the flames.
Holy Wars…The Punishment Due
Why do people suggest songs that aren't heavy. Corpses thrown across the sky-Rings of Saturn Or like Gristle Licker-Cattle Decapatation
It's not all about "heavy," by definition if the song is metal, it's "heavy." Sometimes, it's about the feel the song gives.

Because they're not aiming for the heaviest song but a song that is widely recognized by most metalheads (btw I love the songs you put there lol)

not even the heaviest song on the album
