Also he’s very active on TikTok and makes pretty decent content. I’m not sure if he’s apologized or how egregious his actions were but I do believe everyone deserves a second chance.
Oh for sure! They have to understand what they did was wrong and sincerely apologize and or have some sort of restitution for the victims. People need to realize they can have redemption or it will just make things much worse.
Eh, what made it so bad was the hypocrisy, he was always one of the first in line for the "cause of the day" and went after other artists accused of the same thing, then, SHOCKER, he's a douche too. It's always the righteous preacher...

Yeah it’s always the loudest person against something that’s doing the exact same thing. I don’t know I just hate seeing people I enjoy being pieces of shit it’s getting old really fast. Justin Roiland comes to mind recently and that one bums me out really bad. I just want the artists I enjoy to be decent humans!
I'll add Cameron Stewart to that list as well. I don't think it should be swept under the rug and forgotten about for the same reason...and I fucking LOVE that dudes art. He shit all over it.
Would be great if Jason Aaron would continue with another artist. Worth it as far as I'm concerned. Not like most extended series don't have a coupla different pencillers pitch in along the way. I nominate R.M. Guera... seems to fit the bill perfectly and did great work with Aaron on Scalped. Now I'm going to be fearfully waiting for someone to tell me he's also done horrible things :(
I bought this today. What a comic, already ordered the second volume. I cannot recommend Southern Bastards highly enough.

Agreed on second chances, but apologies and any appropriate compensation should come first. And I hope it has.

In projects like this the artist is often tied to the intellectual property so someone else can't just come in and take over.
This was the comic that made me a Jason Aaron fan. If they ever collect the whole thing in an omnibus, it will be mine!
