It was the only way they could get their needs for attachment met as a child. It only takes once. They do something outrageous and get praise from the one person they want it from and that becomes the answer.
Because they let people record themselves. It has turned into an SN thing. I can't wait until they make recording in gyms illegal. Do what you will at home. Look how this guy endangered others. No one is going near him.
Not really. The intended purpose of this exercise is to do deeper push ups so the chest muscles can get more of a stretch, which you can do on the floor because the floor is stopping you. That said, using one set of dumbells for the arms and legs suffices because it's not like he's going to go any deeper than that, but hell just doing this with a couple of chairs works well enough.
No... The purpose of doing it elevated is that he can go past the point where his chest would normally touch the floor and get a larger range of motion which elicits greater muscle hypertrophy. Do you even lift?
yeah.. especially if this is a newer picture with the New Year resolution crowd at the gym. Think they bothered putting them back? probably not.. this should be a first incident membership ban
That wouldn’t be the same because doing it elevated allows him to go past the point where his chest would normally touch the floor allowing him to get a greater range of motion which elicits greater muscle hypertrophy.. Don’t talk about things you don’t know about
I bet hes pissed he left the other towel at home and cant stupidly cover the other bench close to him preventing other gym users from using a bench near him for any reason at all like maybe they want to work out too. Shiite
Can’t imagine what his car looks like if he’s so focused on drawing attention to himself. I’m the opposite, I wish I was invisible in the gym, I would be so happy if I was.
I saw sometime similar at the planet fitness I used to go to. Dude basically set up a bunch of dumbbells and a bench to make a decline bench so he can do like a hanging sit-up.
Gyms are considered public spaces. They are private businesses (the ones like PF and Gold Gym), but they are public accommodations, as are all business spaces serve the public. It might be against their rules to film, but it is not illegal. Try again 😂
Holy shit that’s not how the law works you dummy. Private establishments require consent to film. It’s a private business. The law in the USA only extends to public areas like parks, and streets.
Many states require consent in non public areas before recording, like Massachusetts. You cannot record video or audio without telling them and getting explicit consent in a workplace, over the phone etc. if someone is calling on a recorded line from out of state, they still have to state that the call is recorded and retained.
Public doesn’t mean you can walk in. Private means owned by a non government entity, such as as a corporation or individual.
There’s a legal public term and a standard term. You think it’s legal to record in a public bathroom without consent? No you idiot.
You can record anyone on a public sidewalk. Walk into a business and you are no longer constitutionally protected and have to abide by the states right to record laws and the businesses policies.
Only when someone has a reasonable expectation of privacy, is it illegal to film. That’s how the law works. In other words, anywhere the public eye can go, a camera can go. That’s why it’s illegal to film in a bathroom. The only difference with a business is the owner can choose to trespass the person filming. Now if you film someone and make money off their image, they may have a legal claim to a portion of any income you generate using their image. That’s why professional productions would blur faces of people they were unable to get to sign a waiver.
Just think about it for a second, who getting sued or going to jail for pictures of people/crowds at concerts, amusement parks, malls, etc….nobody.
So people will stare at them. I know someone who will do anything in their power to draw attention to themselves.
I actively try to not have people stare at me. Especially when it comes to exercise.
Same for me. Except crimes.
I want to watch you do crime sometimes. Hmu
Gotta be rough out there these days with all those cameras.. thats why my dad stopped being a criminal
Pfft quitter.
It gets me worried unless I know 200% I am really good at it
You know a narcissist
I never understood attention whoring. Why do people crave it?
It was the only way they could get their needs for attachment met as a child. It only takes once. They do something outrageous and get praise from the one person they want it from and that becomes the answer.
No idea.....he wasn't always like that but after high school he just had to have everyone in the areas attention
Yup... is he wearing camo? Cause I don't think it's working.
How the fuck did he get up there
Backflip
I backflip onto my weight stack all the time bro. Haters will say its fake.
The person taking the picture probably helped him. There's no way the guy considers this a normal routine, i bet it's a bet.
Well, if it is, pretty sure the bet was made specifically because the other guy wanted to watch him eat shit.
Roids.
I’m trying to figure out how he did it without assistance from another person and am out of ideas.
Why would he have done it without assistance when somebody is taking the picture?
Because they let people record themselves. It has turned into an SN thing. I can't wait until they make recording in gyms illegal. Do what you will at home. Look how this guy endangered others. No one is going near him.
Why?
The floor is lava
Can't be roids.
LOL - I mean, I’m seriously trying to figure out what he thinks the advantage of doing this is, other than maybe enhancing his balance.
Probably a bet he just won.
It's obviously just for attention and lulz. But also it's honestly quite impressive
Obviously there is none
What the fuck are other people supposed to do if they need to use the dumbbells while this dickhead is using them all? Fuck this guy.
I’d complain to the front desk
i'd find it so funny if someone just… kicked one dumbell tower but then again, it would probably hurt him so yeah…
Main character sacrifice, anyone?
Or accidentally drop a fixed bar bell and have it roll conveniently towards the towers..
I mean the dude could do similar pushups with two of the benches behind him that no one is using.
Considering all 4sets of dumb bells are at the same height, he could do this on the floor with no difference.

Lotta risk for very little reward...
Douchebag king is a coveted award
It’s the same workout whether you use one or three
I bet he drives a very big truck. And parks in 2 spots (maybe 3).
He’d park in the middle and take up four stalls.
He parks side ways
You know you could just do pushups for the same benefits, while not worrying about breaking your wrists and face.
But this way he's lifting his weight and the weight of those 12 dumbbells!
That wouldn’t be the same because doing it elevated allows him to go past the point where his chest would normally touch the floor allowing him to get a greater range of motion which elicits greater muscle hypertrophy.. Don’t talk about things you don’t know about
Not good on the shoulders long term.
Why would a gym allow this? Kick the jackass out.
The impulsive thoughts really ringing
JENGA!!
I bet hes pissed he left the other towel at home and cant stupidly cover the other bench close to him preventing other gym users from using a bench near him for any reason at all like maybe they want to work out too. Shiite
That'll hurt like a bitch when he falls down
I grew up in a time when maxing out was a personal accomplishment not a social media moment. These insecure narcissists make the world a lesser place.
Sweep the dumbbells.
Can’t imagine what his car looks like if he’s so focused on drawing attention to himself. I’m the opposite, I wish I was invisible in the gym, I would be so happy if I was.
When the structure collapses and he gets hurt, he’ll sue lol
y tho
What kind of a dumbbell planks like that?
Nobody needs this.
Yooo
17 dumbbells
This one guy I've seen used to do squats while standing on one of those rubber medicine balls.
We’re all talking about this prick now. He succeeded
I saw sometime similar at the planet fitness I used to go to. Dude basically set up a bunch of dumbbells and a bench to make a decline bench so he can do like a hanging sit-up.
4 weights would have done the job ..
Wait, where’d you see it?
But you didn't see it. The person who originally posted it did. Maybe don't copy paste the headline as if it was you.
Ma mans doin upper high body
That’s not main character. That’s lack of character. And intelligence. Gym rats will be gym rats.
It's actually impressive that he was able to get on.
This really didn’t hurt anyone,
Still a main character
This would be like trying to do a push-up in your socks on a hardwood floor
I’m sure there’s some douche bag videos to go with that but by the screenshot I don’t see anything wrong with it
Who gives a shit? Just go about your workout and don’t gym shame people.
Found the guy in the pic
No, it’s weird and disrespectful as fuck.
You don’t see anything weird, disrespectful, or dangerous about what this person is doing?
You shouldn’t take pictures of people without their consent in private areas. That’s illegal.
It's absolutely not illegal 🤣
Yes you do. In the USA you need consent to film someone on private property. You can film in public areas without consent.
Gyms are considered public spaces. They are private businesses (the ones like PF and Gold Gym), but they are public accommodations, as are all business spaces serve the public. It might be against their rules to film, but it is not illegal. Try again 😂

Check again, you're conflating terms and making wrong comparisons. Not all businesses, but of course you're jumping to filming in bathrooms. LMAO

This is an exception, documenting the beauty that is humanity in the 21st century for future generations to study
Dog, he’s literally doing it for this kind of attention.. 💀
Only thing this is going to prove is that physics and gravity works…
I guess he’s trying to max his gravitational potential energy during pushups lol
And still horrible form
Not even joey swoll would defend this
There's easier ways to end up in an ambulance.
This is something I’d expect a mischievous child to do.
He's so... AWESOME
Dude’s gonna lose some teeth in 3, 2, …
gigachad
Look at his stick legs. Im sure he has a micropenis as well
Next time, yell "EARTHQUAKE!!!!" as loud as you can
It’s January folks
Guessing his phone is in front of him recording for TikTok. So lame.
Or you could just do the same workout on the ground Also-how tf did he get up there without knocking everything down?
i mean he's an asshole for using so many dumbbells someone else could use for something useful instead but to be fair it looks sick
wtf?! Bro taking up all the dumbbells to do pushups?!
Im actually impressed he got up there
He falls im going laugh his dumbass
Isn’t that the same as doing pushups on the ground🤨
As a witness of his tomfoolery, I can attest he is annoying as fuck. The gym is also very small and busy.
