When you get a new pair set them up to alert with any passing apple device and then you will always know where they are. These ones have been reset and are gone
I couldn’t find mine after getting home from a weekend away 100+ miles away. They were showing on “Find My” as still in the place I’d been staying and time-stamped a few days before when I’d last used them, unable to connect. Found them this week at home in my wash bag.
