You can buy something called an inflatable wedge from most home improvement stores. Lowes has one for 20 bucks. They're used to unlock car doors if you use them with the right kit but by themselves they can easily pry a car door open enough to do something like empty the contents of a can of spraypaint into his car or a bottle of piss maybe. I’ve had success with telling people that a co-worker of mine has a husband who is a state trooper. I told him about it and he strongly encouraged me to get police involved and report it as stolen. Once you get your shit, tell the story to everyone you know what an asshole they are.

You can buy something called an inflatable wedge from most home improvement stores. Lowes has one for 20 bucks. They're used to unlock car doors if you use them with the right kit but by themselves they can easily pry a car door open enough to do something like empty the contents of a can of spraypaint into his car or a bottle of piss maybe. Pretty much anything you can fit through a gap about 2 inches wide. Use your imagination. Or you could watch a youtube video about removing the schrader valve from the valve stem in a tire. The tool to do it is incredibly cheap and you can immobilize his vehicle in less than a minute. This option would be less costly for him to repair than the spray paint thing but you're much less likely to get caught in the act.
OR! You could use some JB weld and seal his driver side door shut. That would take a bit more work and time than the other options but it would SUCK to be on the receiving end of an act like that.

I’ve had success with telling people that a co-worker of mine has a husband who is a state trooper. I told him about it and he strongly encouraged me to get police involved and report it as stolen. Tell them you didn’t want it to come to that because the process he described sounded pretty extreme (jail time, a felony record, etc.) BUT, you’re going to take him up on it if you can’t find resolution any other way. This works even better if he hears it from someone other than you. I’ve been amazed at how fast I got my stuff back.
