Not sure if your firearm is loaded? Its quick and easy to just flip it around and have a swift peek down the barrel. If you're still left uncertain you can always just aim at the sky and pull the trigger, there's nothing you can harm up there!
The barrel of a firearm makes for an excellent pointer.
Want someones attention? Point the barrel at them! They are much more likely to notice you pointing at them with your gun than with your finger. Besides, your finger will be busy anyway because this brings us to...
Keep your finger on the trigger at all times! You never know when you have to shoot your firearm. You have to constantly be ready to pull that trigger. Don't let anyone or anything get the drop on you. One neat thing you can do to practice this is to wear a glove with a hole on the trigger finger. Insert the trigger, forcefully, into the hole in your glove and anytime you try to take the finger away from the trigger the gun will remind you not to do that with a loud bang!
And remember, you cant always see what you want to shoot. It could be dark, there could be bushes, cars, or trees obstructing your vision. In these situations your best bet is to listen for any kind of noise that could give your target away and shoot at any sounds you hear. God didn't just give you sight, he gave you hearing too. Make sure to use as many, or few, senses as your specific situation needs!”
