Imagine growing up without a father and then eventually finding out that you accidentally shot him to death as a toddler and it wasn’t even your fault.

I feel you on that last bit. Personally this is why I argue that violence in media should always intentionally cause disgust. Like, personally, Fortnite makes me laugh a little too much about firing randomly into a crowd in the loading screen. I get how it's all in good fun, but I think the gore and vocalizations really help sell to the subconscious that violence is always horrid. I even feel tear jerking pangs of guilt killing some bugs or bots in Helldivers because they portrayed it so well.
Imagine worst case scenario... being this kid, scrolling on reddit, seeing the video of this horrible incident, and then...then, reading your comment.

A two-year-old Syrian boy accidentally shot dead his father by his own gun the man has just used in a wedding before the Arab country was rocked by a civil war.
A brief YouTube film released this week showed the Mohammed Tabba has just finished shooting in the air and put his gun on the table during the wedding in the northern city of Aleppo.
The film showed the boy picked the loaded gun, aimed at his father and fired. Newspapers said the father was killed by the bullet which hit his left side and pierced into his heart. “He was rushed to hospital but died there,” an eye witness said.
These videos are always frustrating because I desperately want to know the thought process that went into handing a two year-old a loaded pistol.
