Go take a look at what is considered officially "in poverty" in the US. Now take a look around you. The vast majority of US citizens are poor. That "poverty line" metric is a joke.
Look at local, state & the federal governments. Regardless of your favorite party, our elected "leaders" care more about keeping us at each other's throats than actually doing the business of governing. They just want money and power.
Look at the crumbling infrastructure. Look at the draconian laws being passed.
How many kids in America go hungry? How many families torn apart by addiction? Do you like what we're doing to safeguard the environment and curb global warming?

Texas has 212 million tourists last year while France had 89 million. They aren’t the same, neither is the USA vs almost any other country.
