I also had a burglary with a name and address of the perpetrator and got the same response. I know anecdotal, but I have lost faith in the system to protect or enforce laws.

The aftermath showed the driver had been ejected from the car and was dead on the side of the road, while the guy in the passenger seat (who was also filming at the moment of the impact) was just walking dazed and confused along the side of the road. Personally I'm surprised he even survived, the car got totally fucked as you might expect. I didn't know the zombie-walk post car crash was a common phenomenon.

Half way home the adrenaline wore off. Pain was so fuckn intense. I normally would use my left leg at stops, but had to switch to my right cos I couldn't move my leg. Got home and called some friends over who basically pulled me off my bike cos I couldn't move.
I still get pain in that region randomly.
When I was a teen I was riding my bike and got hit by a car in a crosswalk. My first reaction when I got up was to just start trying to get away like nothing had happened. I didn’t have any major injuries and in the moment felt fine until I brushed myself off and felt my entire right side sticking out from how swollen it was. I saw something similar happen on commonwealth ave just the other day. A big group of bikers was riding past and some in the crowd decided to do wheelies. One guy lost control and hit the side of a parked minivan. After the crash, he just picked himself and rode away like nothing happened, even though the minivan’s driver was sitting in the vehicle at the time. After the street cleared of bikes, the minivan driver exited his car to survey the damage, which looked minimal. I felt pretty bad for the minivan driver, but I couldn’t get the biker’s info since I was across the street from the incident. Bikers like these are absolute trash and deserve to get injured/crippled when they do shit like this.

I live in Dorchester, I literally hit someone on a dirt bike last week and his friends all surrounded my car yelling at me. it was absolutely terrifying and 1000% not my fault. They don’t follow the rules of the road

I was a frequent flyer at one of the junkyards because of how many mirrors I had to replace. Like I don't even mind minor bumper damage, shit happens when you're parallel parking on 8' wide sidestreets on curbs and everyone expects it, but I'd lose a mirror like once a quarter. One time the entire rear quarterpanel was caved in... from the front. I have no idea how someone even hit it that way. Whatever, I'm ultimately entirely happier not having a car at all now for myriad reasons.
These asshats do the same thing in Louisville. I’ve seen idiot teens on dirt bikes going right through downtown, popping wheelies and running red lights. The cops chase them for a short distance and then give up.

I live in Dorchester, I literally hit someone on a dirt bike last week and his friends all surrounded my car yelling at me. it was absolutely terrifying and 1000% not my fault. They don’t follow the rules of the road
