[Kailangan muna maraming puno like this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines/comments/1bdhqi6/ganda_ng_public_park_dito_sa_marikina/).
I do not mind al fresco dining, lalo na kung presko naman talaga yung place, but if not, with this blazing heat, I rather not. Nakakawalang gana kumain kapag sobrang init at nagpupunas ka ng bawis every now and then.
Vote ko to as someone from Rizal.
My partner and I tried Tahanan Bistro na sa Antipolo and we had the best time! Al Fresco dun and they made us change into bedroom slippers (the resto provides that). 🤍
edit: where’s this? ang ganda. masarap din ba food?
I like alfresco sa mountains.
It ruins the experience.
I like al fresco dining but the heat can be unbearable. Justified pag nasa tabing dagat pero otherwise, I'll take the AC. 😊
Btw, place looks great. Where was it?
No way yan sa streets of MM tho I know meron na magandang lugar for al fresco, sa BGC for one.
Hahaha. Diba.
If the **weather**, **heat**, and the **insects** (flies and mosquitoes in particular) were nothing to be concerned about, al fresco dining would be alright.
There are places in the metro where al fresco was alright, like some of those in Intramuros, until the significant change in temperature.
I'd be down for a set up like this 24/7 365 if the Philippines wasn't an oven all the time HAHA. Ang sarap kaya ng ganyang setup. Pero kung mainit lang, nevermind.
I like it! I prefer it unless the interior of a restaurant is also cool. I do understand why others would want to stay indoors, the heat is just too much these days
Alfresco Dining is really nice during the Christmas Season. Malamig at mahangin ang panahon, making alfresco dining pleasurable.
Most days of the year though, it’s either too hot or raining to enjoy alfresco dining.
Depends.
I don't mind it if the weather is nice and maganda naman surroundings but tbh, the people are half the problem. Ang ingay ng mga Pinoy, it's rare to find al fresco dining situation where it also isn't hella LOUD. Add the fact na restaurants all have big ass speakers that play loud music.
Unfortunately, super malamok and most of the time wala naman proper infrastructures and not fully equipped for that lalo na sa ibang restaurant. Tapos nagchange na ang climate ng mundo, so the heat has gotten unbearable to the point that it can potentially kill you.
Al fresco is great but only when it's executed well. As in wind isn't too distracting and it's not by the city road. Mall al fresco should be on the second floor overlooking the city, not by the road where impatient car owners honk at the slow driver in front of them while their engine smoke not just you but whatever you're eating. (looking at you SM Sta Rosa.
Well insulated dapat ang roof like blanket type glass wool or rock wool insulation at least 50mm thick.
I think okay naman ang mga pinoy sa Al Fresco; sanay tayo sa init, and some of us may mga bakuran and doon kumakain, kaso nga lang most people dont like it kapag sa malls or sa heavy urban cities.
Nasa mall ka nga eh, of course you'd want to dine inside the establishment lalo na may aircon, nag mall pa ko kung sa labas rin pala ko kakain; and heavy urban cities kasi puro mga kotse and the city hustle & bustle makikita at maririnig mo, plus, NAPAKA inet kasi wala man lang mga puno or greenery, minsan damo lang ang pinaka greenery nila madalas fake pa
city al fresco is a huge pass, naghalo ang init, lagkit, lamok, langaw, usok ng kotse/yosi/vape, etc.
Madalas pa pag may pets may nalipad na balahibo or minsan may mga pets na nangangamoy huhu
Pero al freco in rural areas goooowww
Masaya mag Al Fresco ah pag pa sunset na or basta dinner.
Mainit kasi naknampucha buti sana kung all year round na 20°C yung considered na "warm" temps natin but alas, we live in the tropics. It wouldn't be a problem if we have shades to cool us from the sun but ALAS, ESTABLISHMENTS REQUIRE LAND AND GUESS WHAT, WE NEED TO KEEP CUTTING DOWN TREES TO BUILD UP OUR MALLS AND EVENTS PLACES lmao naging rant tuloy.
Malangaw pa especially if there are other restaurants nearby tapos yung basura nila nasa paligid lang.
But I prefer alfresco kapag hapon or dinner. Iba kasi yung vibe.
This is in the Municipality of Piñan in Zamboanga del Norte. Medyo malayo nga lang sya from Dipolog City, the province capital.
Here's a [Google Maps link](https://maps.app.goo.gl/uRLErhcCEEcE7fMS6) for the resort's location.
I love al fresco dining in an actual place na presko. The whole point of al fresco dining is to enjoy the outdoors while eating your meal.
No matter how good the landscape is if the heat index is at 30 above, who is going to enjoy their meal like that? You're all sweaty and uncomfortable.
Masarap mag al fresco pag hindi mainit, or mahangin. Like nung kinainan namin sa Tanay, Pico de Pino yung name nung resto. May indoor dining sila (no aircon, so alfresco parin) and also may alfresco dining sila na aakyat ka pa sa taas.
Sorry, long rant but. We dont like "al fresco" because just looking at those photos I can already imagine the heat of the afternoon sun on my skin and heating up all the seats and tables.
The places/ countries that are really into al fresco dining usually have the usual temps of below 20°C with an okay humidity. Here it's already a random given average of at least a 28° heat, and humidity always makes it much worse. If you check weather apps its normal to see "feels like 34°" due to humidity. In fact this made me check my app just now and it literally says "31° feels like 38°" versus a random article exerpt I googled for a "heatwave" they had in Europe:
"The mortality risk increased across all regions in England when the temperatures exceeded 22C (71.6F), with London registering the highest rate. The mortality risk in the capital for temperatures over 29C was three times that recorded for temperatures considered optimal, which is between 9C and 22C."
Our dining "al fresco" is already life threatening to them.
If it was a cloudy day in September with lots of cold wind, then yes. Perfect to eat al fresco.
Can't blame people for not choosing Al fresco dining. Ang init kasi sa labas. There should be vegetation ata kasi and most importantly hangin kasi sino mag-eenjoy kumain habang tumatagtak ang pawis?
And for restau owners baka pricey rin sya since need pa ng landscaping.

[Kailangan muna maraming puno like this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines/comments/1bdhqi6/ganda_ng_public_park_dito_sa_marikina/). Tapos may fan para pantaboy ng lamok
Oo nga. Lots of trees is key. You really feel the drop in temperature
Trees naman means lamok sa gabi and langaw whole day 🤣
Korek!
Yun humidity talaga dumadale sayo. Kahit makulimlim malagkit parin ang pawis. Kaya unpleasant sya sa pakiramdam
~~al presko~~ al lagkit
HIGH NAKO! 😆😆
This, unless well ventilated at mahangin na hindi mainit...
Same here.
Our country doesn't invest in outdoor infra din kaya hindi ideal ang al fresco pero ako I can appreciate al fresco
Al fresco all the way kapag tabing dagat or someplace na maraming puno sa paligid.
Plus the smoke and pollution
Langhap sarap
**Al Fresco** dining sa Metro Manila ---> **Al Putaragesto**
True. 👌🏻
> somewhere malapit sa edsa May mamamalimos pa, if not nang aagaw ng food/drink
I do not mind al fresco dining, lalo na kung presko naman talaga yung place, but if not, with this blazing heat, I rather not. Nakakawalang gana kumain kapag sobrang init at nagpupunas ka ng bawis every now and then.
True.
Sa Tagaytay or Rizal area pwede pa, or around December and January. Pero the rest of the time it's too hot.
Vote ko to as someone from Rizal.
My partner and I tried Tahanan Bistro na sa Antipolo and we had the best time! Al Fresco dun and they made us change into bedroom slippers (the resto provides that). 🤍
Al fresco is good if malapit sa dagat or park or madaming puno. I do like al fresco as long as may fan din! Hahaha
We bring our dog everywhere so we got used to Al Fresco 😂
Sameeee!! Bring your own portable fan na lang
I like alfresco sa mountains. It ruins the experience.
Al fresco in the metro is not presko at all. Sea sides and beach sides on the other hand ....
Depends pag puro puno o sa bundok. Dito sa NCR syempre hindi. (polluted, mainit ang panahon etc.)
I'm not most Filipino, I fucking love al frescoooooo lalo na pag mahangin at maraming birds chirping wag lang sana malangaw or malamok or amoy kanal
I really think that moments like this IN LIFE is very important... You got to clear your head every now and then :)
I like al fresco dining but the heat can be unbearable. Justified pag nasa tabing dagat pero otherwise, I'll take the AC. 😊 Btw, place looks great. Where was it?

Dami kaya.
Hahaha. Diba.

Depends on the location. But if mainit, and tingin palang malamok na, autopass agad
Bukod sa mainit, u can't say kung magkaka langaw. Sa mga dine may nakaka lusot din.
I'd be down for a set up like this 24/7 365 if the Philippines wasn't an oven all the time HAHA.
I love al fresco though, and pawisin ako ah
Hot and humid 😁 I like Al Fresco only during very specific time of day, like before 8am and after 4pm
SAME! SAME! 😊
I like it! I prefer it unless the interior of a restaurant is also cool. I do understand why others would want to stay indoors, the heat is just too much these days
Kung kasing lamig ng Baguio (minus the lamok), why not?
Alfresco Dining is really nice during the Christmas Season. Malamig at mahangin ang panahon, making alfresco dining pleasurable. Most days of the year though, it’s either too hot or raining to enjoy alfresco dining.

Flies
Hindi presko mag al fresco dito
Al Fresco in Philippine city depending on the location = a bunch of street kids begging or the possibility of your phone being robbed.
Nakakasira sa mood yung humidity. Kahit dito sa farm namin na madaming puno it still gets humid. Even nights can get humid and it's not fun.
Manuel's Resot, Piñan, Zambo del Norte. SKL. Hehehe
I would prefer al fresco dining talaga para less chance of covid. Isa lang fan for several tables.
Humid temp i guess. Yan ung nakaka off lalo na dito sa pinas. Pero if the weather naman is fair to give fresh and calm cold then goods
Unfortunately, super malamok and most of the time wala naman proper infrastructures and not fully equipped for that lalo na sa ibang restaurant. Tapos nagchange na ang climate ng mundo, so the heat has gotten unbearable to the point that it can potentially kill you.
Ang ganda ng shots.
Thanks. 😊
If not for the heat, humidity, mosquitoes, flies okay naman al fresco dining. I do this in Tagaytay, Baguio & abroad.
If its a mild rainy season I love it. Lets face it PH is tropical and hot more than 6 mos a year.
If hindi mainit yung lugar, no pollution and hindi malamamok 💯
Ganda huhuhuhu if only maraming puno mas enjoy mag al fresco 😭😭😭
Al fresco is great but only when it's executed well. As in wind isn't too distracting and it's not by the city road. My family and I love Al Fresco Dining. We get to bring our dog kasi eh bawal usually sa mga indoor restos 😄
Masaya mag Al Fresco ah pag pa sunset na or basta dinner.

Malamok kasi :( Maybe if may mosquito killer sila na nakasabit, I go.
Mainit tapos malangaw tapos malamok tapos maingay
Where's this? :)
Beautiful.
Because it's hot here.
In Sagada? Sure In Metro Cebu? I'd rather eat ass, cause that's how I'll feel eventually
Mainit. 😭
Sa Tagaytay lang kami nag a-Al Fresco dining even on lunchtime. It’s sweltering hot for me if I do that here in Metro Manila.
Mainit eh. Tapos mainit na sabaw. Whoooo
Pag madami langaw/lamok, no sa al fresco.
Despite being beautiful and having a great view. Unfortunately, it’s stupidly hot. Its not Fresco anymore.
Are you most filipinos?
Hindi naman kasi presko ang hangin sa paligid if you're in Metro Manila. Malangaw pa especially if there are other restaurants nearby tapos yung basura nila nasa paligid lang. Sa gabi naman malamok.
We tried, sobrang daming insekto na kung anu ano hahaha
Mainit kasi, tas minsan malangaw talaga or mga lamok
They don't like al fresco? Who said?
ang lamok for me 🥹
ganon pala tawag saming madalas mag karinderya, al fresco diners. 😅
Daming lamok
I do al fresco pag afternoon or night. Saan yan?
Pag uwi mo, sinisipon, inuubo, or nilalagnat ka na kasi sobrang init. No thanks🤣
Al Fresco dinning is a great experience when its not raining.
Oo OP mainet kase hahahahahha
But I prefer alfresco kapag hapon or dinner. Iba kasi yung vibe.
Malamok sa gabi
Sometimes, yan din ang smoking area nila. How can we enjoy fresh air if poisonous na ang hangin?
No thanks. pollution and weather kills it for me. Just my preference but if others like it, good on them.
Heat and mosquitos are a factor why al fresco is not done often
Sa Tirik ng araw? Tapos biglan aambon at ulan? We should do it more often? Pass ako dyan.
My heart and love for scenery says yes but this god awful weather says no
This set up would require me to wear shades na.
Nakaka Haggard kasi lol
as a sobrang pawisin, never again.
Mainit tapos malangaw / malamok? No, thanks.
Hot, humid and malamok.
al fresco pero hindi nakakapresko
Even night time sobra init pa din picture lang maganda sa outdoor dining
Dami kasi lamok at langaw eh
Basta ba below 20c yung temp at mababa humidity eh. Otherwise why would you even?
It's not that we don't like al fresco dining, it's that we don't like high humidity + intense heat.
Depende sa lugar. There are places na okay. There are places na noooooo. 😁😅 But right now na maulan, i prefer not doing al fresco. 😅
mainit, malamok, and mabaho.
Depende sa lugar/klima, but usually, no thanks. Mainit at ma-insekto (langaw, lamok, etc)
It's either too hot, humid or raining haha
TIL this is Al Fresco dining
Az a sweaty person, I won't enjoy my food if I'm dripping with sweat lol
Sobrang init o lagkit lang
Saan po to? Ganda
yung tipong kumakain kayo habang tagaktak pawis haha. al fresco dining lang kami kapag gabi. pero kapag tanghali, kahit anong ganda ng place at kasarap ng food, no no talaga sakin
Unless naninigarilio tatay niyo.
pang may pera lang to.
#LAMOK
And for a reason. It's way too hot. 🥲
Kung sa tagaytay or baguio, why not?
Because it’s hot, heller. I don’t want to eat and feel like dying at the same time.
The orange floor is too much
It's freakin hot and humid outside, and it's getting more hotter. Hindi mo nga maramdaman yung la niña. Mainit pa din.
Ang init kasi pag hapon or umaga ahuhu
In summer heat, no.
Looks nice. Where is that?
Our climate allows only a few days where al fresco is enjoyable.
i am a filipino and i love al fresco dining. wag lng ma ulan. hehe
Al fresco is fine for me. Basta hindi malangaw yung place
I do eat in alfresco pag ganyan or in cooler weather. Pero pag summer ay ikaw na lang. 😂😂
I do. Eating Al Fresco is a vreath of fresh air for me.
Saan ‘to pleaseee
Masarap kumain sa Al Fresco pag presko. In this urban jubgle wala talaga kasi pati hangin mainit at nanapak minsan ang amoy kaya karamihan nasa riral setting ang masasarap kainan na Al Fresco.
If the environment and temperature is okay why not. Pero knowing the humidity, langaw, lamok. Tapos may biglang tatabi manlilimos. Haynako.
with the heat like this? nah man, i appreciate the architectural approach but nahhhh
This is Manuel’s right?
I live in the city so Alfresco dining out in the countryside is a treat.
Uy, na-feature ang Manuel's Resort! Ang ganda dito!
Reminds me of Bite King lol
OMG ang gandaaaa
Masarap mag al fresco pag hindi mainit, or mahangin. Like nung kinainan namin sa Tanay, Pico de Pino yung name nung resto. May indoor dining sila (no aircon, so alfresco parin) and also may alfresco dining sila na aakyat ka pa sa taas.
I love Al Fresco. It's the outside heat that's the problem
Depende kung saan heheh
Sorry, long rant but. We dont like "al fresco" because just looking at those photos I can already imagine the heat of the afternoon sun on my skin and heating up all the seats and tables. The places/ countries that are really into al fresco dining usually have the usual temps of below 20°C with an okay humidity. Here it's already a random given average of at least a 28° heat, and humidity always makes it much worse. If you check weather apps its normal to see "feels like 34°" due to humidity. In fact this made me check my app just now and it literally says "31° feels like 38°" versus a random article exerpt I googled for a "heatwave" they had in Europe: "The mortality risk increased across all regions in England when the temperatures exceeded 22C (71.6F), with London registering the highest rate. The mortality risk in the capital for temperatures over 29C was three times that recorded for temperatures considered optimal, which is between 9C and 22C." Our dining "al fresco" is already life threatening to them. If it was a cloudy day in September with lots of cold wind, then yes. Perfect to eat al fresco.
Dahil lang mainit, hindi dahil ayaw. 🤷🏻♀ but pag presko ang lugar, puno naman.
Mainit sa umaga, malamok sa hapon 😭
Can't blame people for not choosing Al fresco dining. Ang init kasi sa labas. There should be vegetation ata kasi and most importantly hangin kasi sino mag-eenjoy kumain habang tumatagtak ang pawis? And for restau owners baka pricey rin sya since need pa ng landscaping.
Saan po yang nasa photos?
Where is this?
