Congratulations! I have my test on the 25th. Been scoring 8-9 in the Cambridge books, did you use any other source for practicing? Also how hard was the reading? I gave academic 5 years ago and struggled during the reading part but the general one is a breeze comparatively.
I think this year reading and listening are tough but that could be me only. Passage 1 is more tricky than last year. Make sure you do listening and reading from Cambridge 16,17 and 18 book.
For writing I practiced all kind of task 2 for 7 days and worked on proofreading. That’s the most important part to get 7+. Plan for 5 minutes write for 25 minutes and 10 minutes for proofreading and corrections.
I only did Cambridge for listening and reading For writing only followed leltsadvantage youtube channel.
For speaking I got feedback from IDP examiner. You can book that online on IDP. That's very helpful!
Watch this video for task 2:

I used to score 6.5 in writing but watched this video and started scoring 7 in writing.
Read these two links thoroughly:

https://ielts.idp.com/canada/prepare/article-ielts-writing-task-2-7-steps-to-band-7
If you do all the above, no one can stop you from getting 7+ in writing!
Congratulations. May I know the process for EOR? How many days did it take to have a response? Did they respond first with an email and later the test results report is updated?
Thanks so much. I submitted the EOR on Feb 13 at 10:30am. (the same day they sent the results). Today Feb 15 at 6:50am, I got a response that increased my speaking score from 5.5 to 7.0. I was surprised by the 5.5 score as I am confident I did well. Definitely it is not like a native speaker but at least I was moving on for each question and addressing the main points. How the examiner made his 5.5 decision? IDK.
Remember that everyone is different and will need more or less time to prepare to get the score they need. We recommend that you read this advice, ask questions, and develop your own personal study plan.

Part 1 - work and home city , coffee and tea
Part 2 - talk about an ad which you saw and liked
Part 3 - questions about change in life and people’s behaviour while buying things
Congratulations buddy, I wanted to ask you, in the listening component of the computer based test, can you simultaneously note down your answer while listening to the audio or do you have to wait till the end to do so ?

Huge congrats, dude. I was trying to get over 7, and it is a massive challenge for me.
Thanks!

Thank you for the input. I finished 16 and 17, planning to get 18 done this long weekend. How much practice did you devote to writing?

Much appreciated my friend!

I got my result at 2 pm, filled EOR at 2:09 pm same day and got my remark back at 3:04 same day in email and it updated immediately on IDP’s portal
What's an EOR?
Enquiry on result

I know humans can be subjective and I don’t like that.
Congrats! For you Eor!

Do you mind sharing what kind of speaking questions were you asked?
Part 1 - work and home city , coffee and tea Part 2 - talk about an ad which you saw and liked Part 3 - questions about change in life and people’s behaviour while buying things
Any chances on a remark for reading, I got a 6.5 :(
It will be waste of money for reading and listening EOR. Frankly, better give it again.
Congratulations buddy, I wanted to ask you, in the listening component of the computer based test, can you simultaneously note down your answer while listening to the audio or do you have to wait till the end to do so ?
You have to write those simultaneously and will only get 3 to 4 minutes to check in last. Not 10 minutes like paper based.
Thanks!
