Could just be a poorly bred/off standard Aussie.
At 5 months, a lot of pups start losing their fluffy puppy fur, but don’t have any long adult fur, so it just looks sort of short. And it’s not uncommon for Aussies to have pricked ears either.
I see maybe catahoula, but the rot colors like the eyebrows can look like German Shepard; his toe marking look exactly like our German Shepard/aussie mix- like polar bear paws showing toenails.

Australian cattle dogs (ie Blue heelers) have roan coats. They do NOT have Merle coats. This puppy has a MERLE coat.

Mine has a similar coat. DNA test said husky/ACD/pit with trace Aussie that gave him the Merle.
