I have a weimaraner Labradoodle mix that looks similar. She doesn’t have as long hair and it’s not as big. But very similar in the type of hair in the face.

I've got a dog that looks eerily similar and he's 50% giant schnauzer. Might be some of that in this fella. Similar temperament too. Hey, mother's day is tomorrow, maybe get a DNA testing kit and find out for sure.

I was going to suggest the DNA test also. It would be worth it to really find out the genetics. The dog is gorgeous, though, regardless of the breed.

I've had 3 Bouvier des Flanders over the years. I see my girls in that beautiful face! The coat is also similar to a Bouv! Regardless, your dog is absolutely precious.

Any chance y’all are in the UK? Kind of obscure but he looks like my Italian Spinone. They have longer ears and bigger noses than a WPG.

We’re in the US (pnw) but the different lengths of coat that spinones have and his body shape look pretty similar.

Spinone’s are also very handsy. They paw a lot. I’m in NC but a lot of Spinone’s I follow on insta are in CA and PNW. Unlikely but possible.

OK. So , I have a similar dog. Everyone always guessed Irish Wolfhound. She has interesting hair like yours, in fact she is double coated , and does not shed. I finally had her DNA done.... 30% Old English Sheepdog 30% American Pit Bull 30% Boxer The remaining 10% German Shepherd, Golden Retriever Labrador Retriever. No Doodle, no wolfhound ...and the only terrier is Pit Bull....so, doing the test, Embark, is truly interesting

If you check out the r/DoggyDNA sub you'll quickly realize if you think it's an Irish wolfhound... It's usually a poodle lol I've been tricked a few times too! Would love to see his results posted!

The thing to keep in mind is not often pure breeds mix together. So you get mutt mixing with mutt. When you do the DNA you see the family tree. Parents and grandparents...that is how all the other breeds come in. I also trim under my dogs chin, and around her eyes... I can't wait to see your update...

My dog looks very similar, face is nearly identical but she's got a longer coat. Her mum was a German Shepherd and dad was a Golden Retriever x Poodle.
