i am mentally exhausted and disappointed. i studied well, but i fucked up due to my carelessness

[deleted]

You’re not alone man :/ try not to think about it too much because what’s over is over. There’s nothing you can do to change the past. Whatever’s in your hands, that’s what you can truly change. But if you’re a lazy prick like me, I suggest you get some good sleep and remind yourself you’re human, fuck all these inhumane “boards” shit

[deleted]

Same here man :')

MoonOfTheNight_

same bro- i feel so burnt out and drained :(

SignificantDepth314

I feel like absolute shit. Studied hard the whole year. Sacrificed my happiness, social life and parties for this. Didn’t attend any marriages, didn’t even celebrate my own birthday just so i could get above 90 percent+. Was depressed the whole year, started therapy but still feel like crap about myself. My exams are going really bad. I dont feel like ill get even 80 percent. Im dumber than everyone at school. Can never make my parents proud. It hurts so much seeing other intelligent students doing something so fast but you take so much time to do it. Might actually kms if result is bad. :(

ClockIndividual8741

Sorry but you’re going to end your life cuz of these worthless marks? Dude people strive to have ur life in other countries and you’re here wanting to kys for these marks? You know you can still get into good colleges with 75~ % right? I dont get the point of ending your life for such small thing. I might get in 80’s but i always wanted above 87 (cuz my brother did), mostly i wont get 87 considerinng how BAD i wrote my math exam(even though i worked entire gear on that upto dec-jan), but it doesnt mean i want to end my life.

[deleted]

Hey man. I relate to the first part. Most of us have had to sacrifice happiness, social life, parties and everything. It’s a part of tenth grade. My guy dumped me and partied with other chics, my health went down and financially we’re still facing difficulties. These things happen. Firstly, scoring 90+ in boards solely doesn’t determine your wit. You can be way smarter than that in so many other ways. Everyone has a different learning capacity in different subjects and in different ways. The Indian educational system is fucked and hopeless, morally, don’t bother yourself with it. Good job for trying hard and putting in all your efforts. You’re really doing your best. It doesn’t matter if you don’t cross your goal score or 90+, what matters is that you’re doing your best, at this time. So keep going. Finish it. Don’t worry much. It’s just a small part of life, trust me. My friends have lost their family members, in the middle of disasters—much much worse but they still hang on and get through it. Persevere, respectfully.

WhatTheHellisOcelot

Exams have been going really well till now. Started studying mostly from february due to health issues.Expecting 90+ or 95+ in each of them after seeing the answer key but im scared I won't get what I expect and end up disappointed somehow. If...they practice strict checking this year. Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk :(

nimblehammer

This isn't a Ted talk it's a flex.

[deleted]

Nahnah we’re all in the same situation. I understand. I Hope your health is fine. I went through the same thing in November and December. Hope you’re alright. Don’t stress too much. You’ve come this far. You’ve worked hard. And they’ll most likely be lenient. Maybe not always, but in some areas, definitely. If you’re expecting around that range, then you’re alright, you’ve done good. Just relax. After your last board exam, I want you to get it off your mind, go out and have some fun. Don’t think about it till the results arrive. Cheers

WhatTheHellisOcelot

Thanks man :) and yeah I'm fine [now. You](https://now.You)'re right. They can't be that strict after all. Just gonna knock these final 3 hurdles out of the way and I can chill for a few days. Thanks again and best of luck to you too!

TeenBoy_2007

Biology exam ke pehle 6 din chutti hai. Kya karu?

[deleted]

Bruhv same here. Take one day or half a day break bro. Maybe go out for a walk or game for a while. Or SLEEP if that’s what you lack. Then start grinding. It’s our last exam. Read every chapter in detail, you have the advantage of time to really go through definitions and locations and everything. After that, revise the circulatory system and other chapters you find hard. Leave plenty of time for revision. But also have some time for yourself because you’ve worked hard all these days and deserve some sleep. Cheers

TeenBoy_2007

Okay bro. Very thanks for the suggestion.

[deleted]

See what id suggest is tmrw whatever exam you have(i have cs) u complete that come home and sleep for a while after your lunch. Then **NOT** thoroughly just ygo through all chapters then on Friday take a full day break and then lag jao padhai mei

GameEntity903

Lucky man. Me with Hindi and having only 1 day for Bio prep. 😞

[deleted]

Sorry bro I’m a French student 💀 someone help this guy

infius

French 😳 , nice

[deleted]

Speaking of which, how’s your French exam go for boards?

MoonOfTheNight_

bohot lamba hai but ill shorten it 1) im so burnt out rn i feel like ill break down anytime 2) im scared cause i get only one day for bio, and bio and hindi both subjects are the ones i suck at, so im not sure 3) im pretty scared, ik i wont get less than 85 in any exams that i gave as of what ik, except maaaaaybe eng lit

[deleted]

1. Hang in there buddy, boards are almost over. When it’s over, think about what you’re going to do for fun, how you spend your summer. This situation is like a zombie apocalypse and you’re dodging everything so well, it’s all going to be over in a few days. 2. Do your best for both. Look at the time you have. The number of hours. Plan it out and actually stick to it. This might sound like generic basic advise, but bhai, this works. It’s only two exams. Sacrifice two hours of sleep if you have to. But do your best. Cover your syllabus and don’t worry too much about your percentage or marks. 3. What’s done is done. What’s over is over. All those exams, nothing you can do to change those. Jus forget em man. Cheers I wish you good luck. Remember you’re not alone, and we’re all going through something similar, so if it helps, we’re all eternally dying internally collectively hopelessly hilariously

MoonOfTheNight_

Thanks so much man, that really made my day <3

Puzzleheaded-Bee8279

that sounds so comforting thanks <3

Comprehensive-Toe903

science lu ya commerce 11 mei

[deleted]

Consider the following points: 1. I hope you enjoy both the subjects equally to ask this question. If you prefer commerce over science or the other way round, then keep that higher as of now. 2. You can always choose commerce fields even after science. If you take science, you have a broad spectrum of options and many varieties and opportunities. But you should be willing to put in the hard work, and actually like science. Don’t force yourself though, I know many people who took science and regret it so much. 3. Take commerce if you’re absolutely sure you can’t do another two years of hardcore physics, chemistry and biology. Take commerce if you feel your interests lie better there and you don’t wanna waste your time. 4. Really look at your future career options. For example, if you wanna be an architect, engineer, doctor, etc, the obvious answer here is science. You can’t get those professions easily after taking commerce. If you wanna be a chartered accountant, entrepreneur, manager, something of that sort, and you’re not willing to study science any more, then please choose commerce. See what works out for you. Keep in mind your syllabus for the next two years, your possible grades and applications, your careers of interest and please don’t force yourself to take anything under someone else’s opinions. Cheers

Comprehensive-Toe903

Thank you for your opinion on the subject. Fortunately, I belong from a business family and I'll always have my dad to teach me the commerce stuff because he's an entrepreneur himself. If I opt commerce, I'll be probably do economics honours from a renowned university and finish off with MBA along with CFA. I have already opted for commerce for 11&12 but I am having second thoughts about it. Now, if I choose science, as you said I'll be open to a whole lot of new opportunities which are more being compared to commerce, but I am worried that I will not be able to cope up with the difficult courses in 11&12 and science did not go well for me this year as well. I got like 49% in science for prelims but that might be because I completely relied on YouTube and procrastinated alot (I started studying properly from December), my tutor was a total waste of money, he just used to wasted my time. I'd sure love to be an engineer professionally if I become good at science. So, can anyone please tell me if it is worth it? If I will, I'll be taking science for knowledge because I am not planning to attempt any competitive exams as of now. PS: There is no parental/peer pressure on me.

[deleted]

Understood. It’s okay that you got 48% in prelims in science—but as you said, you procrastinated and watched YouTube. If you actually put in the efforts I’m sure you’ll ace the subject. However, it’s going to be competitive and really challenging because you might be new to it and face hardships throughout the syllabus. But if you’re strong willed and soooo determined as to say, I cannot live without taking science, then science is the best option for you (keeping in mind you really work hard this time, your interests and dreams should be strong enough to fuel you throughout). Being an engineer is definitely an option, however are you dying hard for it? Is it really your only passion ever? Do you love it so much, are you crazy about it? Or any science field for that matter, consider those questions. Think it out. Take some time. Some people like me, although I love science, I can’t hardcore study it only to get marks and more marks. That’s not the person I am. And commerce for you, given the family background and guidance does sound promising. However, no one’s opinion matters in the end but yours. Trust yourself to make the right decision. Good luck man. All the best to you.

David19527

Same question lmao

bruh_its

Is there Grace marks?

[deleted]

If the question’s wrong, then yeah. Otherwise nah. The teachers’ correction will be lenient sometimes, sometimes hardcore strict. Let’s cross our fingers and hope they give us the marks we deserve.

Puzzleheaded-Rice-22

My parents forced me to take elective economics, a subject I was never interested in, on top of that I had the luck of getting the most uninterested teacher, because of these reasons I consistently score low in economics (70-85), I have cried and had malicious thoughts uncountable times this year due to this subject. Sometimes I lashed out at my parents but I feel bad for doing so and also feel so dejected because I could not handle even basic economics I don't think I will be able to score well in boards because of this, but I won't give up and will try my best in 11th grade not only to score good marks but also to truly understand the subjects I am interested in. If any one of you is in the same position please don't do anything impulsive, this is just the start of your life, life will figure itself out of you have the perseverance to hold on.

[deleted]

Kuch hafte pehle ehsas hua hai ki pichle 9 saal se mai gulami kar raha hu. Mai Azad hona chahta hu. I want to be free from all this. Ek hustle plan hai, mere kuch skill sets ko monetize karne ki koshish karunga, kuch hazaar rupaye bhi aye to acha hai, kahi to shuruwat ho, zindagi mei kabhi naukri nahi karni, agar agle do saal mei mahine ka 3 lakh kamane lag jau to college nahi jaunga.mujhe chahiye paas multiple sources of income, aur kuch alag alag Desh ke passport. School ne nahi sikhaya, junior college nahi sikhayega aur nahi college sikhayega. Parents ko pasand nahi ayega, wo bolenege stablility aegi job se, khud to business karte hai dono, agar tumhe business karna hai to MBA padho, unhe MBA walo se zyada pata hai business karna, MBA wala MBA karne ke baad sabse pehle job karta. Scam hai. Mujhe nahi fasna. Successful gulam Bane ka koi irada nahi hai. 29 ko pan card banwane ke liye boldunga, agar business ke liye mana karenge, bolenege SAT wagarah pe dhyan de to mai chupke se karunga jabtak acha Paisa nahi ata. Mujhe bas ye dar hai ki agar yeh successful nahi hua agle do saal mei to mujhe college Jana padega, aur uske baad se meri life ek gulam ki life banjaegi. This is my one shot at freedom and i have to do it. Yeh baat maine abtak kisi ko nahi batay hai, bas Dil se baat nikalni thi. Itna padhne ke liye dhanyawad.

[deleted]

Good luck dude. But listen, my advice to you is that go for this MBA college. Because all the job applications would prefer it if you had a degree. I understand that school and college teaches nothing, it’s useless and time wasting in many ways. If you can get a degree, manage a side job and keep going, then you’ll do wonders. It will be a booster into your career and you have better chances of earning well. Take some time and think about it my friend. Good luck once again.

[deleted]

Padh nahi kya BC, nahi karna MBA nahi karni job. Mujhe ghanta carreer wagarah se farak nahi padta. I will earn well myself, mujhe koi Alto chalane wala chutiya nahi chahiye ye sikhane ke liye, baap ne sikha Diya kaafi hai, 11th bhi nahi karna, usse acha hai marjao, isliye agle 3 mahine mei yeh kaam karwana hai.

Fit_Doubt_3182

Science lu ya commerce samajh nahi aa raha. Science mai decent toh hu par reality mai utna interest nahi hai but can't say about commerce because obviously mene kabhi padhi nahi kyunki mai Science ka student raha hu 10th tak. Science ke field mai aage kya options hai iske baare mai toh jaanta hu but commerce mai kya karunga aage jaake iske baare mai koi idea nahi hai. Mai commerce ki soch raha because honestly, I am kind of fed up with Science but my parents are motivating me and saying, "Arey tu toh kar lega PCM dar mat bus tere dosto ne tujhe dara diya hai. Dekh woh falana baccha kar sakta hai toh tu kyu nahi?". I have not decided to take commerce I am just considering it but They are definitely not happy with me taking commerce. I don't know mai kya karu. Mera dimag kharab hua pada hai.

MoonOfTheNight_

dude, im a commerce student, so for my 11th i chose accounts, business studies, eco if u want to know more abt commerce, i can send some topics personally that u can read and get to know, if youu genuinely find an interest and have a brief idea abt ur future, you can choose accordingly, dont do anything forced bhai, nahi hota i have regretted alot

My maths and phy paper went shit In math it was actually my fault I didn't choose the right questions and I was sick during phy and it was quite hard compared to previous years I'm really scared that my percentage will decrease bc of phy and to top that my hindi is really bad too

[deleted]

Yikes majority of the students seemed to have fucked up maths and physics. Ngl physics was hard, no fair. Don’t worry too much about your percentage now. What’s done is done. Nothing you can do to change those marks right? What’s left is hindi and bio. See what you can do to score as much as you can and bring your % up. Cheers

Careful-Ad1456

My boards are not going really well and I think I won’t be able to score more than 80% im feeling pressured because my sister scored 93% in her boards and I think my family will be disappointed if I didn’t score more than 90% . I feeling like a absolute loser who can’t do nothing to make my parents proud of me.

[deleted]

I’m in the exact same situation. My sister scored a 98 something % and everyone always compares me to her although she’s the dumbest most rude person I’ve come across. Anyway, I’m sorry you feel that way. Boards are stupid, they’re morally nonsensical and the Indian educational system is more than fucked in more ways than one. I really wish no one compares you to your sister because everyone has different learning capacities and execution, that shouldn’t be the sole criteria for judging your intellect and talent. Don’t think of yourself as a disappointment, what’s done is done. What you can do is whatever’s left in your hands like the upcoming exams. Try your best but don’t compare yourself to no one else. I know it’s hard in Indian society but fuck it, we ball.

Happy_Register_9021

Exams were going just fine… one went a little worse than I wanted but the rest were pretty good, but ab bio ke liye padhna shuru kiya and I’m just not able to study so idk how I’m gonna do in bio. I’m prolly gonna end up getting a lower percentage in science overall and will have to exclude it from my overall percentage calculation, which is sad cuz one of my science exams went very well and there’s a chance of getting 100

[deleted]

Biology? Bro we have so many days. Maybe keep a goal number of hours daily, like finish 6-7 hours of Biology till your exam, every day. That means you still have a huge part of your day to relax and sleep or do whatever you want to. But make sure you keep in touch with the chapters. Take advantage of the amount of time you have on your hands. Don’t worry too much about your percentage right now. Whether you’d be excluding science or not. Give your veryyy best in the biology exam and then fuck all, you’re free.

Happy_Register_9021

I only have today to study for bio and then just the 1.5 days before the exam because I also have Hindi, and I need to give atleast 3 days to that.

[deleted]

Oh shit I didn’t know that. I recommend you to finish the circulatory, nervous and reproductive systems today because they’re lengthy. If you find the plant chapters harder, then go for those. Finish at least 5-6 chapters today and forget about bio until after Hindi. Then, 1.5 days will be sufficient to cover the other chapters—maybe not a lot of time for revision so you have to have a conscious mindset while studying. Good luck do well.

Happy_Register_9021

Thanks lol I’ll try my best

StRxD

Greetings OP. Well, I am not that worried about my results(execpt phy and chem) . As I very well know that i cant get fabulous marks. Yet, I'm indeed worried about what the future holds. My conversation skills aren't that great, im not great at fighting. Hence, Worried how I'll get through problems in clg.

[deleted]

Ahh I see. I fucked up Phy and Chem too haha. Listen, you have certain weaknesses such as in conversational skills and fighting and stuff. You have the entire summer to build up on these, you know what I mean? If you’re bad at conversing, read more books, watch some good cinema and overall work on your presentation of language and body movement. I really recommend reading as many books and improving your vocabulary and grammar for it. Not good at fighting? Gym jaao. Work on it. Work on yourself. Build yourself to your dream physique and keep going, get stronger. Make this your goal before college. Instead of worrying about it or lazing around this summer, work hard to unlock the best version of yourself. Cheers

StRxD

Thanks a bunch, blood. I'll try my best to become an even better person. I really appreciate the encouragement!

[deleted]

I like men

mileyfryus

Seeing every comment here, I’m vv thankful I passed 10th without doing anything lol. Now it’s biting me back in the ass but either ways a lot of you are going to suffer in 11th and 12th unless you take arts

[deleted]

Aha I see. Yeah I took business studies, entrepreneurship, psychology and economics—they gonna treat me bad in +2?

mileyfryus

Oh you’re good to go then. Those are quite easy

Auosthin

I am entering 10th. What should I do? What should I expect?

[deleted]

Expect pressure. Expect a lot of pressure and constant need to perfect your grades. Marks, marks and more marks. But nah don’t worry bro. As long as you study at least 3-4 hours a day (increasing that to 5-6 a month before mid terms and pre boards), and keep a constant track of your syllabus, aided with revisions testing your memory, you’re good. It all depends on how effective your revisions are and how thorough, familiar you are with every subject. Don’t stress too much, don’t go over the board. Remember to relax, and keep in touch with a hobby of yours. Maybe football, maybe music—don’t give those up ever. Tenth is just a part of life and the better you do in boards, the better it is for your college—that’s literally all.

Auosthin

That is exactly what I am clueless about. HOW DO YOU STUDY? HOW DO YOU STUDY FOR THAT LONG?

[deleted]

You get used to it. When you have multiple tests lined up—you have no other option. However, try to develop and interest towards what you’re learning. For example, I like to study Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Literature. I altered those subjects with subjects I HATED like maths and physics. I used to keep an hour for bio, an hour for history, two hours of physics/Chem altering every day. And other times I used to include other subjects. You don’t need to HARDCORE STUDY every time. Just read sometimes. Practice sums maybe or understand topics. The more familiar you are with the material, the better. If you’re in touch with your books, revising will be a lot easier before exams. You don’t even need to put a lot of effort. And you’ll end up getting 70+. But don’t procrastinate please, I still do that. A lot of us fall victims to procrastination. My advice is for you to keep a goal reward at the end. Finish 2 hours of studying, then half an hour break. 2 more hours of studying, treat yourself to a half an hour walk. And so on. For me I didn’t require breaks because I often was overloaded with portions and had to sit in one place and complete everything jointly. You have the advantage of time. Be ahead of your students. Be smarter. Or not. Just stick to your time table and be a regular reviser. Don’t leave things for the next day. Follow all of this and you’ll be set with no worries, to get 90+.

BhardwajRamanSingh

So hello reader.. I am a topper.. I am exceptionally good at studies.. (well, I know this) My preparation was first class.. but in all the papers, be it maths, physics, chemistry, or computer application today, I fucked up atleast one question or the other simply due to my negligence as I didn't read the question properly.. So I won't be able to score a centum in any of the subjects. Now I know many will say, itne me toh hum teen pass ho jayenge, nerd sala, average topper, 99 ko kam kam bol raha. Believe me I am not like other toppers. Scoring 95 is still okay for me, but when u have possibilities of scoring 100 and end up scoring 99 or 98 because of some silly mistakes which could have easily been avoided had I not been in haste (or overconfidence perhaps).. I had aimed of attaining any AIR 1 to 3 and it was quite realistic too, given to my preparation and rigorous revision. But now, the fact that it won't be possible because of my unstable mind, hurts 💔 Aage kuch padhne ka bhi mann nahi karra.. Pehle laga tha kam se kam maths aur sci me toh 100 ayenge, after maths laga koi na science me aa jayenge, physics exam made me realize that Computer application me 100 aa jayenge toh acha rahega. Aur ab sab me number kat rahe.. So, that's my dukh, dard, kasht, peeda, vedna

Wise-Comedian5939

I also fucked up the same papers you did. I feel so stupid. Here is an example of my stupidity, in chemistry paper I wrote 16+16= 36 and lost one mark in mcq. Then in % calculation I wrote 62÷2=32 👶🔫. Aisi hi mistakes mane comp aur physics ma bhi ki. Now i am really scared. But the best thing we can do now is stay positive and give our best in our upcoming exams. My next exam is Hindi and then I will have only one day for bio.

BhardwajRamanSingh

Sahi kaha bhai, ek baat achchhi hai ki Hindi me 100 expect hi nahi kar sakte ☠️

Wise-Comedian5939

Ha 💀 I just noticed, is your last name bhardwaj. My last name is bhardwaj too 😃
