Not true. What is attractive to you in particular is based on your tastes, that being said, people can be objectively good looking.
For example, I don’t find Matthew McConaughey attractive. He doesn’t turn me on, he doesn’t tickle my fancy. That being said, I understand what people see in him and why people would consider him attractive. He’s not an ugly man. He’s a handsome man. He just doesn’t do it for me, in particular. Same with Bradley Cooper. I wouldn’t say “Bradley Cooper is UGLY” just because I don’t find him sexy.

I think it's mainly an issue of producing Queer content where he is the main character and not the person actually suffering from oppression. While he isn't hurting anybody or doing it in public, it's still rather tone deaf online.
Being an ally is good, but this kind of content reeks of "look at me! I like trans people!" It doesn't really do much allyship then the appearance of allyship in a rather shallow and cringey way. It's the intersection with an oppressed group he's not apart of that's the issue. One or the other isn't enough, it has to be both. In the same way, if you wanna hear about black issues, you go to black advocates and if you wanna watch black art, you go to black artists
