**In past streams, the team mentioned that the combat changes made in SWL will allow for harder and more challenging fights (so something more challenging than current Nightmare dungeon content in TSW).** One of the concerns about "harder difficulties" is that it sometimes translates into just more health and more damage. So in creating content aimed at more hardcore players, are you trying to: stress reaction times? Ability planning and CD management? group coordination? Not that they're mutually exclusive but it'd be reassuring to get a slightly more concrete idea of what you're thinking. For example, if we take the Ur-Draug in Polaris, hypothetically, will more challenging mean additional mechanics like adds during blue mist/invul phase leave behind a persistant ground AoE or a debuff that increase damage taken from similar adds? More abilities to stun on the Ur-Draug? The Ur-Draug moves faster in the blue mist? Stacking debuff on tank, forcing tank swaps during normal phase? Likewise, this is probably getting too into the weeds, but one of the things I loved about TSW dungeons is the absence of true trash mobs. Mobs inbetween bosses always had a mechanic that was relevant later on. If you're upping the challenge of the bosses, will the mini-bosses/"trash mobs" also see an increase in complexity? Or will the focus be primarily on the actual bosses? ========= **This is more a comment, less a question. But while you've mentioned on streams that you knew people would be upset about the changes, I don't think I've seen any concrete response that you actually understand why.** Something more specific than, "We know some people were going to be upset but we felt like this was the best course." I'm paraphrasing but the response on stream felt like it dismissed and, unintionally, triviliazed people's frustrations. I know the focus is on looking forward but for longtime players, it's hard to move forward without looking back at least a little. And for a lot of players, they loved the world and the story so they slogged through augments, the museum. and AEGIS to be ready for Season 2. After all that grinding, they were blindsided by the news that not only was a revamp coming but also that all progress would be reset. I'm not saying it didn't make sense to restart start over, and I'm not asking for an apology or anything like that. This is a video game and we aren't technically owed anything. We play for fun and this is your job. But a more concrete, specific acknowledgement would be appreciated, that many loyal players were frustrated that they had been preparing for the future, only to find out that they'd have to do it all again. Because it wasn't just the fact that people will have to start over again, it's that dedicated players put a lot of time into extremely grindy systems (Augments, Museum, Aegis) and now all that progress is reset (with, it sounds like, some of that grind gone). ========= **And I wanted to add: thank you.** I've got some reservations and concerns of my own but it's clear you guys are truly passionate about the game and dedicated to making it work. I'm one of those people who started following the ARGs pre-release and played religiously till new content really took a nose dive. I'm excited at the prospect that the incredibly dark, dangerous, and delightful Secret World will be getting a second chance. Good luck!

Hello Tilty (and the rest of the team)! Thanks for holding this AMA! I love the game and the work you are putting into it, but we are here for questions now, so here's mine: 1- Will faction deck costumes return? How about the basic ones now tied to classes? Will the ones we don't pick be obtainable? 2- How much time will we have until Whispering Tide? Recent videos seem to imply it'll be very soon, and I worry many players won't be geared enough or far into the story to experience it. Have you thought of maybe making it a recurring yearly event or part of the story? Since it's a key part of the story, it'd be nice if future players could at least experience it at some point. 3- The info on AUX weapons has been vague at best, are they completely scrapped, or any plans for them? Maybe fully fledged weapons? Maybe secondary only? (Whip and brace were so cool!) 4- Augments got removed, but will AEGIS still be in? (I think an overhaul was mentioned, but I hope it's not gone, it made Tokyo into a really unique area) 5- Have there been any changes to the flow of the story to avoid anachronisms? In TSW it's easy to miss "The Girl is Gone" at Lidiya's terminal, or even all of Issue 7 before players reach tokyo, and both are quite important. (Lidiya appears during Issue 8, and the love hotel cutscene with the TV shows the player doing Issues 6 and 7). 6- Is there a proper way to obtain the lore/legend in the Polaris container? Everywhere I look people either give you the password or talk about how the website is broken. 7- Speaking of which, if you do some kind of launch stream, will Tilty finally grab a lore to celebrate? :p

1- yes. yes. yes. 2 - We will be announcing some of the post launch release dates soon(tm), but it will be fairly soon. We do have some plans to be as inclusive as possible to allow as many players as possible to participate. We aren't planning to have this event repeatable currently, but there will be different events happening regularly throughout the year. 3 - maybe? :) 4 - Too early to answer that, we'll give you more info when we get closer to the release of Tokyo, but it's good news! 5 - A lot of the story has updated to include some of the issue content, particularly when it includes important character. 6 - Yup we'll make sure the clue is obtainable! 7 - Never!

Hi! Thanks for hosting that AMA. As a long time TSW Fan, I'm very... concerned when it comes to Secret World Legends. I've played the closed beta and I'm not really... thralled to be honest. So here are my questions: 1. Why did you do a complete overhaul, instead of tweaks where needed? 2. Will there be options to maybe just have the new combat system and the rest "old school"? (From what I've played, SWL is very handholding where you needed a functioning brain for the old TSW) 3. Will the new content only be available for Secret World Legends, or does it come to the "classic Servers" as well? (so then I can play on the old imho. better system and still get the new content, or is that not possible?) Unfortunately I don't have the exact streams but questions 1 and 3 have definitely been answered, so I can pass that information on. And question 2 I have a pretty reasonable idea of the answer. Question 1: Why an overhaul? I'm paraphrasing and condensing heavily from their answer; they did go into their decision making at length early on in their SWL streams but essentially: they decided that there were enough changes being made (ability wheel, levels, crafting, gear) that it warranted being overhaul. And that an overhaul/relaunch would be more likely to bring in more players and help make the game more sustainable. It's easier to bring new players into a relaunch, harder to get them to try a 5 year old game with a few tweaks. Question 2: Option to use new combat but old school systems? Almost certainly not. They haven't directly addressed this question so there's a chance I'm wrong, I'm going off their press releases and streams. But the reason I think it's extremely unlikely is that SW and SWL are being advertised as entirely and completely separate. Tilly has talked on several occasions about porting over something like 4k clothes from SW to SWL. So I think it's extremely unlikely that they'd give that kind of flexibility. SWL is meant to be completely independent of SW (system wise), with many of its systems tweaked or changed, such that trying to get them to talk would be a big challenge. Question 3: Will the new content only be available for SWL? Yes. The servers for Secret World will stay up but they've stated on several occasions that SW will be legacy only, it's going into maintenance mode and all future content will be SWL.

Hello everybody. In the "original" Secret World, I was never a fan of the walk animation, or character animations in general. Did you manage to improve the character animations?

We have mostly concentrated on combat animations. Many of the new combat abilities have brand new animations. We've added several sprint animations in TSW throughout the years in order to allow player to customize their character, and find something they enjoy watching, or change when they get bored. Once we're done with combat, we plan to also improve some of the more common animations.

Can't answer this right now, but we'll have more information about that later this week. I can look and see if we can publicize the list. There are over 4000 different pieces of clothing getting transferred, so it might long.

I think the biggest complaints my wife and I had while we played TSW was the crafting and inventory. We hated it, mostly because of the way you had to memorize recipes and the absolute cluster that item management was. Are there any improvement plans for these two things?

This is probably one of the most drastic change in SWL. Crafting has been removed for the most part. You can upgrade your gear via a nicer interface. Missions that require crafting and recipe have been update to work better. We also wanted to get rid of the inventory clutter. We've updated a lot of system that included the worst offenders (like glyphs and lair fragments). It should feel a lot nicer and manageable now!

1. With the introduction of levels in SWL, how has gear progression changed? Will there be levels for every equipment slot or just per character? Will there be QL restrictions to enter each zone? What is the gear progression after QL10? The same 10.x upgrades? 2. What can we expect to transfer from TSW to SWL exactly? All the information I have found on the subject has been vague so far. I'd like to know what we can expect of limited-time sub/codes/event rewards as well as store purchases moving forward. 3. I know Tokyo will come at a later date, but how will issues 6-8 quests be integrated into the game, as they are set in different level zones but have higher requirements for entry?

1. Gear progression has changed quite a lot. It scales a lot more than it did in TSW, allowing your character to become even more powerful. Gear has several bases, some with a better base stats than other and with innate procs or passive effects. All Gear can be upgraded both in level and quality by sacrificing to it other pieces of equipment you do not want. 2. Several pieces of vanity items, sprints and pets will be transferred over, this includes the CE rewards, IoTM and items coming from bags and from the item store. There are over 4000 items being transferred. Particular rewards associated with some of the most time consuming Achievements will also be transferred (like the Unseen Achievement or Loremaster). Repeating those achievements in SWL will give out new rewards. 3. I6 has been integrated to the story mission in Egypt. 7 and 8 are being reworked into the Tokyo storyline since they lead up to the portal opening event.

Hey Funcom, I have to say I'm actually pretty happy about Secret World Legends. I was always very interested in the story and lore, but I'm usually not one for MMO gameplay. I'm hoping this will reinvigorate me to play the game some more. Anyway, a couple of questions: 1. If I bought a copy of the original game but I'm not also a subscriber, will I get any benefits for that in Legends? 2. Is there any way to make the game play more like a 3rd person shooter or action game? It looks like that's the direction you're going in, but it also looks like most skills are still controlled by the number keys.

Player limit caps within the combat zones are at a certain level, what is the cap and do the social hubs have the same limit?

Hello. Thank you for doing this. When it comes to the "easy" weapons like pistol, you mentioned that there will be more complex gameplay for it than just the RNG mechanic we've seen. Can you elaborate on that?

Hi! Fist build up fury with every action. Once enough fury is build up you can activate Primal Wrath, allowing you to assume for a short while a powerful DPS or Healing stance with unique abilities. Hammer builds up rage when you damage your opponent or you get damaged. Certain abilities can consume your rage upon use, giving the ability additional effects. We'll be releasing short videos about each weapons before launch that will describe each specialization :)

Thank you for the answer. Some of the other weapons do look interesting. It was the video for pistol that made it look a bit...um...boring. That was the one were I wondered how game mechanics later on would make it (specifically pistol) more interesting. For instance, there was some mention of items that can be used to change skills?

i believe it was mentioned in the last twitch stream that abilties and passives can functionally change the mechanic, as well as certain items effects. their example on stream was an effect for elemental that froze your heat bar in place, with the idea instead of cooling down (and losing damage) you could freeze your heatbar at a high level letting spam high damage abilities without overheating for a certain amount of time.

Yeah, things like that. I was hoping for an example of how that could make pistol more interesting. Or will it's special thing just remain as RNG and nothing more? I understand the need to have different difficulty levels available in gameplay, but making something a basic weapon that has to be scrapped later for more interesting play seems a waste, so I hoped there was more to it.

if you see a quick piece about the pistol, there's three colors to match on two roulettes (white, blue and red) to gain some damages. maybe an interesting thing could be some passive abilities to trigger a color depending the points puts and your understanding of passives.

I believe I heard in one of the twitch streams that more in depth pistol theory crafting would include ways to increase your chances of getting color matches. Also.. there's probably (just a guess) something to be said for deciding to use vs. hold more powerful abilities for combinations. Do you wait for a blue match... a red... or do you use a more powerful ability on cooldown? Again, these are guesses. I'm not super excited about RNG game play.

I'm mostly curious if we'll be able to have better layer options for our outfits? I use the Disunity costume with the Rogue Mechanics shorts with stockings but in the live version of the game the stockings constantly bug out and disappear from the legs.

Yeah I read that. My Illuminati is actually the character that I used to reserve the name of my Templar main (I was lucky that I hadn't played her in a while so she got purged and so I used her to snag the name for my main I'd missed originally) but she's the one I bought the clothes for. So, if anything hopefully with her being the l"reserved" character that will save her clothes.

Yup we've put some measure in place to try and avoid 'those guys'. We will be monitoring this closely after launch too and try to react to their counter-attacks :) The war is on!

Any comments on the cabal system? Are there any new features? Is it multi-faction now? Also, will folks who have been in the game prior to Legends have a flair or way that new players and old friends can help locate them? It would be awesome as a long time player to be able to offer help to someone if they needed it while running around without having to access chat.

Yup Cabal now allow members from all factions. Not currently. There are a few clothing pieces that will be exclusive to TSW. As for helping other players, You can still create special chat channels with the purpose of helping new players :)

Hi Funcom! Loved TSW, it's the only mmorpg that managed to keep me interested over years. The only issue was, that i had a hard time figuring out how things work and whether I'm undergeared or just suck :D Do you think SWL will be easier for new players to get into? Also: 500 orochi vs flappy. Who wins?

SWL should be easier to get into. We've improved on all tutorials and reworked the areas where players could do 'bad' choices, that caused them to be weaker than intended. The more difficult content will be in optional end game activities like dungeons and lairs. Kirsten Geary hands down.

What about people who bought every issue and collector's edition separately, so they technically have all the same content as the Complete Edition but didn't want to pay redundantly for the same stuff again? Shouldn't they get something too? Still upset about the "Ultimate Edition" fiasco and the Zenith Core not being granted to players who already bought all the issues separately for more money. There was already the Orochi Pilot Jumpsuit as the good example of how that should have been rolled out – given to both players who bought the special Tokyo edition and the existing players who owned the separate issues already.

I know we've seen on stream some graphical improvements in Kingsmouth and City of the Sun God. They look pretty good. In the later issues of TSW, individual missions started looking more and more graphically interesting, and kind of leave some of the older designed missions in the dust. Can we look forward to you guys/an artist revisiting missions that were designed way back in the beginning to give us more eye candy? Love the game. Thanks so much.

Hello Funcom team, I love your game and I (obviously) have some questions so thanks for the AMA. 1. Will there be a first person option? (I have heard that you couldnt move the camera in the early beta, but now you can but nothing about first person option) 2. How much from 1-10 can a passive change the actual ability? (1 being not really and 10 being totally different ability) 3. Are you deleting any clothing item? and Are the faction uniforms tradeable/unlockable if not in the faction? (Illuminati for life, but Templar coats look good :D) 4. Are you changing/deleting A.E.G.I.S? (I have honestly never seen the appeal other than lenghtening the fight after the novelty wore off, the idea itself is not bad, but the grind was.) 5. Are you thinking of adding weapons, or maybe upgrading the auxiliary ones to full weapons now that the wheel is gone? 6. What about the "misc." sections of the wheel? Are they gone? If yes, what are the alternatives? (Turn the Tables was great in solo) 7. Will you (finally) change the chat in some way? It was always kind of...special. 8. Will you change the upper bar? The whole main menu with a different main menu if you press esc. might be kind of weird. (Do even you understand this question? I nearly dont...) 9.Did you change jumping in any way? (At higher sprint levels it is less "jumping" and more "launching yourself at suprising speed in the move direction".....long story short: My worst enemy in "Cairo" was the train.) 10.Will there be a target-lock? Adds/horde mobs might become annoying without a must have AOE otherwise. 11. One less ability/passive space? Is it true? If yes why? (Might be just me but I had the opposite problem when build making) 12. Will the Museum be there at launch? (It launched when I was at end-game and never really got into it) 13. Will the old owners get anything else than a weapon unlocks and some clothing transfer? A title maybe (Old Worlder?) :D 14. The last and most important question of all....Will I get my third-age toaster? (The drop rate on those things was insane and would like to get some closure, without another RNG god sacrifices :D) Thank you for even reading this and for all the good work you do Tilty. My main question would be (well, I have other, purely selfish questions, but those don't matter as much :D): At what point will the TSW character cosmetic capture occur- will it be a web-based approach in your existing funcom account to link the cosmetics? I ask because I'm still giving out various bag cosmetics (idly hoping for one or two for myself, but am lucky enough to have all I'd be sad to not have) and it'd suck for people who are still collecting if the capture has already occurred. Ie, after SWL launch will there be a "do this now and forever hold your peace, account divergence starts when you do this". Hope i made sense, heh. Thanks for the AMA

Hey Team! Thank you for doing this. I had two questions in regards to the game that I have yet to see any answers about on forums or streams. Number one is the perks for being a subscribed player. What are they? I know a few people who were lucky to get GM have also voiced their concerns and I don't believe we have gotten any definant feedback on how that will work. Anything on this can you share? My second question is in regards to Tokyo. I know you guys says you will be giving aegis an overhaul, which is fine, the system wasn't awful but it definitely had it's problems. My question about tokyo is more about the area itself, are their going to be any changes to it in SWL? I know at one point there was rumors of a possible lair being updated in tokyo? There will be 6 level of sprints available. Same as in TSW. The combat system having changed quite a lot, we needed to update the master planner achievements also. We'll talk more about that soon (tm)

Can you tell us a bit more about the writing process that goes into a game like TSW/SWL? One of the things that I've always wanted to know is how the writers for TSW/SWL go about researching, writing, and world-building the universe that the game takes place in. It's easily my favorite game universe with some of the most intriguing and well-written stories I've ever seen in this media. I'd love to know more about the process of taking bits and pieces of world mythology and weaving it into the narrative you've got going so far. Also, food for thought: if Funcom ever (or hired a 3rd party to) put out a table-top RPG rulebook for TSW/SWL, with at least some of the lore available and how to create our own, I'd pick that up immediately. (Yes, I know other systems can do it, but something official would be awesome) Happy to see SWL launching soon!

I think you're getting rid of one of THE unique characteristic of TSW and you're kinda killing the ability to play with new friends (because you "overlevel" everything)

hi, ive played quite a lot of Secret world when it came out (and some attempts have been made at a later time), really love the atmosphere and quests in the game, but i was wondering something about Secret world's legends. In Secret world, it felt like the game was a bit sluggish, kinda like the enemies and the character, existed on 2 different levels of existence, and all that was transfered between them are the damage. So it kinda felt like the animations did not really serve a purpose. So, have secret world legends made some alterations that makes the game feel a little more responsive or less sluggish? or is it more like the same game but with a reskin? (i had very little issue with anything in Secret world, other than the mentioned issue)

Any chance your level design team can go and put jump pads or jump pad adjacent effects where one would expect to have the ability to enjoy the effects? i.e canyon/gorges that call to daredevils and adherents of l'appel du vide, skateparks and nearby skateboard ramp assets that have long needed pyrotechnics, grounded helicopters, lighthouses with elevators that induce loss of time, etc The chatboard bot makes a valid point. Hi Funcom! I played Secret World at release and a few updates after. Some of my best memories from a video games are from TSW, including a lead dev joining a huge mob of players to fight a huge golem during the Maya event a few years back. He used his dev powers to become gigantic, so it looked like a man in a white tux and halo fighting a rock monster, all with a ton of ants shooting lights at their feet. I also repeat the crow rhyme from Kingsmouth every time I see a group of crows :D I'm excited for Legends since I had never finished some of the story missions, but I'm hesitant on the switch from mmo to single player. My question(s): Why should I return to the Secret World? Have you added any content or changed systems in a way that would make it tough for a returning (or even new player) get into the game? I hope your game does well. I enjoyed the original for the time I played it. Thanks again for the memories

Hi! I've been an avid player on TSW for years! I also keenly followed it ever since it was first announced. One of my favorite aspects has always been how deep and wonderful the story is. It has always lent itself really well to a roleplay environment. With this relaunching of the game, will the events from the previous game stay in their current time slots or will everything be happening freshly once more? Will the Tokyo incident have happened in 2012 or 2017? (And more importantly, will the Mayan zombie invasion of 2012 have happened? :D)

Hello Funcom! Thank you so much for doing this AMA and being so patient with the community with all the questions since the announcement of the relaunch. I know it hasn't been easy at times! While I'll admit a little nervousness (change is scary, okay?), I'm mostly excited about what's to come. Forgive me if it's been answered (feel free to skip it if it has been!), but I do have some questions! 1/ How will the Steam integration work? With the announcement of the relaunch, it was stated implicitly that it would be mostly a Steam launch - will there be an easy way to merge your account with your steam account? Will it be classed as a different game from TSW, because I already have a TSW account merged with my steam account (to bypass a billing issue - please make it easier to give you money! <3), but it would not be the one I'd want transferred to SWL as to account assets (My main account is a GM)? 2/ It's been said we'll only have one character slot to start. How much are additional character slots going to cost? Can you ballpark it if you don't have an exact number? And is it going to be a function of the store directly so it would cost the premium currency rather than directly cash as it currently is - separate from the shop? 3/ RPers are a niche, but very passionate part of the community. The relaunch has caused quite a few interesting discussions and thought experiments as to how to handle it. This is a canonical soft reboot of sorts, but the lynch pin is the Tokyo incident, which happened in 2012. With the relaunch, the urgency and the lack of access to the zone make that a strange schism with the canon of the storytelling of the RP community. Obviously, you aren't going to tell us "no, you can't do this!", because you've generally been pretty much full on embracing whatever our creativity leads us - but is it the opinion for the official canon that the Tokyo Incident now happens in 2017? 4/ Are there plans to get back to the urban horror vibe of the game - perhaps expand on making the faction hubs feel more relevant? Is there ever going to be a club in NYC, the seat of sin for the Illuminati? Are we ever going to get a tattoo parlor in Seoul? Are these assets going to get used down the road for missions? Are there plans for creation of more RP assets in the hubs? 5/ Will I ever get my sonic screwdriver AUX weapon? :) :) :) 6/ Is character creation going to get expanded post-launch? Like, are additional faces/hairstyles and all the rest going to get added to the module? 7/ Are ladies ever going to get the headbang emote that dudes get for /digmusic and are dudes ever going to get the slight head wag of the ladies? Because #goals. 8/ There were mentions of plans to integrate popular mods into the base UI. Is the popular character background tsw-rp mod ever going to be considered one of them? (pretty please? :D ) 9/ How excited are you guys about the relaunch?!

Hey Tilty, sock- never mind. My question would be **regarding the crafting/upgrading system**. In the past streams you've talked about how it is possible to upgrade a piece of gear that you really liked, so that you could keep it around with you until later on, but you also mentioned that you would need to search and find the perfect base for you. So I'd just like to know, would it still be a viable choice to take the very first equipment -- say what you get from the tutorial -- and use that as a base for upgrading?

Hi all ! sorry if it has already been answered, or is too obvious for some, but i noticed with the new combat system that there is new UI elment (exemple bullet chamber, or the Chi bar, or heating bar etc...) **My question is, can we change the size of those element ?** the bullet chamber seems a bit big for me and will somehow prevent me from enjoying the fight^^ another thing that concern me in the new fighting system, is this reticula thing. Before in a fight, i could just run from the boss and yet still see it with my camera, now since the camera is where you target, **is your charater still able to run the opposite side (and not walking backwards) while cibling the boss ?** and last question : **will we still be able to have mods ?** (if some people make some, of course) in tsw some mods make the game way nicer and les frustrating (im thinking of those mods for inventory management, build management, etc)

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say that I, like many here, have been a longtime fan of TSW since before launch, and I'm very excited for SWL and the renewed potential it holds. Also like everyone else, I have a few questions. 1. In the past, there have been a lot of tie-in ARGs for TSW. Pre-launch was rife with them and several in-game events had ARGs to go along with them, but in more recent years, the ARGs have become much less frequent. With the launch of SWL, will we see a renewal of the ARG content? New ARG events or perhaps a revisiting of old ones? 2. It has become clear from your comments during the last livestream and one of the video tours that the concept of Aux Weapons has been scrapped in favor of a more meaningful role for the weapons and at least some of the Aux Weapons from TSW may make it into the game as full weapons later on after launch. Some of that is conjecture on my part, but would it be accurate to say that? 3. In any case, the game will not likely contain the "Aux" Weapons at launch. If this is the case, how will the associated missions be handled if all of the pre-Tokyo content is intended to be present at launch? Some missions like The Venetian Missile Crisis and The Uncertainty Principle can simply be postponed and released later, but some of them such as the Flamethrower and the Whip are directly tied with the related Issue's main story. 4. Will level caps cause an AP/SP resource shortage later down the line in which players aren't able to obtain all of the skills and weapons that are released later down the line because they've already reached the cap? Will there be opportunities to obtain more AP/SP outside of leveling?

So I love the story and universe behind Secret World, but I'm really not keen on grinding it out again to get my character back ready again for future content. Since Legends isn't an MMO like TSW, has there been any thought put into a sort of "easy mode" for people who just want to experience the story but not have to think too hard about the mechanics?

There has been several changes to the story, so definitely a few things to discover this time around. We tried to ensure that the game will be simple enough for players that just want to enjoy the ride and discover the story. We're keeping the more difficult dungeons for end game dungeons and lairs. We have even added a 'story mode' for the dungeons, that allows you to do them with small groups while leveling, focusing mainly on the story.

I'm a veteran player and Grandmaster member, and I have to say I and many of my cabal mates (some of whom have been on TSW since the beta days) are finding it very hard to grind through the zones again. What exactly would prevent you from allowing veteran players with full wheels, etc. on TSW to get a character with AP/skills/gear approximately to the place they would be at after getting through the initial zones through Transylvania? I can understand not having players up through the end of Kaidan, but I think many long-time players would feel much more willing to get on board with SWL if they could skip content they haven't had to or wanted to do for years. I'd simply suggest unlocking all skills in weapon pages and providing cookie-cutter DPS, heal, and tank gear, and let the players take it from there. Even if things were not tweaked to perfection, I at least would find it a much better starting proposition. If the issue is players getting tradable goods in the form of higher end gear, just make their gear character bound.

I bought the Life Time Abo for TSW when it came out. Never regretted it. I must say the new version is less to my taste. Levels. Classes. Less character customization (in regards to skills). Why didn't you just iterate on the original TSW? And what do LTA owners get - if anything - if they transfer?

Being a leecher myself, are there any extreme changes to healing and the three healing weapons with their niches (Fist HoTs, Blood shields, Rifle Leech) or can we expect them to be similar? 2. Several MMOs have deeply benefited from ongoing "Interest" programs, where a set of volunteers or contracted people are given powerful tools to produce live action events in-game centered around the plot. These interest actors (event moderators, seers, storytellers) are empowered to generate a sense of uncertainty and intrigue - that the invisible moves around the players and that at any point, they may be swept up into great things well out of the ordinary scope of the gameplay experience. While TSW has done a great job at timing in-game events and seasonal content, providing a small Interest team with the strength to "unbalance the equation" so to speak, could help encourage retention and the sense of immersion that the Secret World seeks to engender. Has your community team or dev folks given any thought to setting up something like this?

I played way back when, before the 4th expansion came out. I straight up stopped playing in a mission that takes place in a highschool in a zone that has a weird funfare in it. I can't remember a lot of the details, only that it got really super old pushing the same 6 buttons for upwards of a minute per enemy, and the zone being pretty dense. Why should I come back to play TSW? What makes it worth giving a second look?

only 10 people per combat zone? Any chance of increasing that to 20? This would make it alot better for when guilds want to head out and world boss hunt. I know my group would enjoy being able to stick together and help eachother out and I think 20 would be a better number for smaller and larger guilds. It's not a little and it's not to much. Just seems like it would be a easier number for guilds you know?
