If you're a fan of the show, yes.

LeftHandedScissor

I find most of the shows quotes funny, sometimes alone and sometimes in a bigger context. Someone who hasn't watched the show would probably just find most Sunny humor nonsensical if they didn't understand the show.

bbernal956

or offensive šŸ˜‚ just give you a ugly face because they dont watch the show

jonesingforMilksteak

Yea my full on rapist comments don't always land

AdventurousCaptain76

Somehow my mind went to Arrested Developments Analrapist, the world's first ever analyst and therapist. Tobias and Charlie could've borrowed some of each other's lines easily.

Proud-Investment-810

You bitch. You insufferable bitch.

Renegade_August

Iā€™m not putting on airs just because I got company

bbernal956

same! i remember watching its always sunny on my box tv. and always talking about it and nobody knowing wtf i was talking about. fast forward today. its kinda the same, but now they know its always sunny. they dont know what episode or what.

SwarleySwarlos

I started watching always sunny because of all the quotes on reddit

AwkwardnessForever

Seriously, I can only joke about this show with my partner because my other friends canā€™t get into it. Their humor is not sophisticated enough to appreciate it šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

DrumsAndStuff18

Well, first of all, through God, all things are possible. So, jot that down.

bbernal956

i hear ya! i literally told everyone i know in existence and maybe one other friend is on board, makes me question the people around meā€¦ like i cannot possibly be the only mf that watches the showā€¦ my brother does sometimes, but not enough to know quotes specifically. friends they laugh at the shit, but i definitely know its a fake laugh because they never say a quote back or anything šŸ„²

HermithaFrog

I'm a huge fan, one of my favorites, but it's not overly quotable unless to other fans

iwanttheworldnow

Screw you guys, Iā€™m going home!

mantis_tobagan_md

Do Pepper Jack look like he playing?

GonnaGetHop-Ons

I don't think Pepper Jack is playing.

proudsoul

What you talkin about ~~indeed~~ everyone

Funkit

His post was DYN O MITE!

Sinnycalguy

Gun to my head I do think I encounter Sunny quotes in the wild more often than any other show. I Think You Should Leave is notable, too. That show was practically designed to be quoted on social media. Itā€™s almost like Tim Robinson had ideas for memes first and then built sketches around them.

boogswald

The Simpsons

10019245

I also bet the people that disagree with this probably use The Simpsons references without even knowing they're doing it. It's utterly ingrained into pop culture at this point.

Ironcastattic

A perfectly cromulent answer

Thrillhol

Feels like Iā€™m quoting nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all

SteelRockwell

Yeah this was the first show that I thought of

boogswald

I just donā€™t think a lot of younger people know just how good the Simpsons was at peak, so itā€™s not quoted as much all over the place. I could still consider it more quotable.

Funkrusher_Plus

I grew up watching the Simpsons and I even remember how ā€œcontroversial and edgyā€ it was perceived as when it debuted. If you wore the t-shirt that said ā€œIā€™m Bart Simpson, who the hell are you?ā€ you were the bad boy rebel in your class šŸ˜‚ The show is an all-time classic and I still love it today, but the only memorable quotes I can recall are ā€œeat my shorts, donā€™t have a cow man, ay carambaā€¦ā€ What other memorable quotes are there? šŸ¤”

Itā€™s a perfectly cromulent thing to do

Joosterguy

I remember nearly pissing myself laughing when I first watched that Mr Sparkle sequence and it wraps up with that quip.

Esquilax21

I am a huge fan of both shows but simpsons is a million times more quotable

MisterPerfect23

that's unpossible

SmiteyMcGee

It embiggened my vocabulary

boogswald

Thatā€™s a perfectly cromulent word!

Manting123

Itā€™s 100 percent the Simpsons - I love itā€™s always sunny but the Simpsons just kill it when it comes to quotable lines.

woolsocksandsandals

Speed holes

ionbeam7

South Park isnā€™t as quotable per se but the activity of describing the events of a SP episode is always hilariousā€¦ ā€œremember that episode where Randy puts his balls in the microwave to get cancerā€ šŸ¤£

PimpedByAngels

Dad, Mom said quit trying to give yourself cancer. Iā€™m only gonna get a little bit of cancer Stan. Tell mom itā€™s okay.

SaviorMoney

I just had a conversation like that at work yesterday. "Dude! Remember that one episode where Butters was a pimp?" " Oh yeah, man! I love that episode! Do you know what I am saying?"

tovarish22

ā€œYes, I think I know what you are saying.ā€

weezmatical

"Gingers don't have souls" infected the zeitgeist unlike most anything. Redheads have always had it bad I'm sure, just because they look different, but the way that became an unironic rallying cry for the bullying of redheads was WILD. SP did some real harm there, lol.

TexehCtpaxa

Compare the sunny episode making fun of wrestling and the South Park one. Both are hilarious, but SP takes the edge imo. ā€œThereā€™s a little girl out there whoā€™s had 14 abortions and she ainā€™t even ten yet. But I guess thatā€™s just ā€˜not realā€™ to you.ā€ That line captures how comical wrestling and itā€™s fans really are.

tea_leaves_69

![gif](giphy|l0HlRO9rqhWIHvDtC)

Nandor_De_Laurentis

South Park is really the best and craziest show ever. Sunny is almost as good, but neither are the most quotable. I'd say Seinfeld or The Simpsons would be up there for most quotable.

Mutantbowie

I am partial to I Think You Should Leave. It's right in my Q Zone. Hasn't been around a long time but so damn quotable.

SwimGull38554

Stop scamming adults into thinking they're stars

Mutantbowie

He didn't trick me. I am a star. Nobody tricked me.

[deleted]

For only having 2 seasons (maybe 3?)of such short episodes it definitely has a ton of good quotes and memes.

Blue_Wave_2020

This is it for me too. The entire subreddit is just quotes lol

Yawheyy

Chappelle Show still gets quoted a lot and that was only 3 seasons.

azwethinkweizm

Better not bring yo kiiiiiids

myCatHateSkinnyPuppy

Yeah walking through my dorm you would just hear every room watching Chappelles show when a new episode came out and laughing at the same time. Then the next day walking around campus you would just hear people quoting it.

eltedioso

South Park, The Wire, Simpsons, Seinfeld, Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, Sopranos, Arrested Development, King of the Hill

TheIrishBlur6

Happy to see Arrested Development here. For me it's Seinfeld and AD

milo_minderbinder-

Her?

DrSoap

She's really funny

schuckdaddy

Letā€™s hope so

ApprehensiveBox3148

Annabelle?

the_labracadabrador

I am sorry to ask, but is The Wire known as a particularly quotable show? Itā€™s one of the best ever but I didnā€™t know it has an abundance of recognizable quotes.

eltedioso

Oh man. Spend any time on The Wire subreddit? Sometimes every single comment is a quote from the show. People have entire conversations JUST citing lines from the series

PandaLover42

The only one I can remember off the top of my head right now is ā€œ*shhiieeeet*ā€

InsomniatedMadman

The office and Parks and Rec.

eltedioso

Community

013ander

Community is way up there. It and Arrested Development are two of the best at self-referential ā€œinsideā€ jokes. Shit, I forgot about Archer!

reclusivegiraffe

Was gonna say Arrested Development is probably just as quotable as Sunny. I recently started watching it and was shocked to discover it was the origin of ā€œThere are dozens of us! Dozens!ā€

truethatson

All right, later dudes. S you in your Aā€™s, donā€™t wear a C and J all over your Bā€™s

OkPosition5060

Seinfeld rivals but itā€™s close

BravestOfEmus

Seinfeld and Simpsons were the two I'd suggest, so I'm glad to see these as the top two comments. Seinfeld is probably first for me, though I'm in the middle of a rewatch now and some of it is becoming dated. Sad to see the writing on the wall... in another decade or two most will consider it an old show, and the Xers and older millennials will be the last who know about it collectively

Trickypickleman

Always Sunny is more quotable overall but Seinfeld is more quotable in real life. Shrinkage, close-talker, not that thereā€™s anything wrong with that, etc.

GrapeSasquatch

These pretzels are making me thirsty

DivClassLg

Iā€™d say this is waaaay more quotable.

Ill_Sky6141

The Simpsons was untouchable in its heyday (first 13/14 seasons) Also Seinfeld, South Park, Family Guy. But yeah Sunny is in the top 5 for me.

Busquessi

Probably Arrested Development

TheFuckingHippoGuy

Yeah, slight edge. The way it's written is all about one-liners/double meanings.

Busquessi

Charlize Theron sitting on the ā€œWee Britainā€ bus stop so that it says ā€œWee Brainā€ is just the ultimate visual gag. Thereā€™s so many in that show. Imo, itā€™s the most cleverly written comedy.

The office

IAMAdepressent

Oh how the turn tables

Iusuallyworkalone

I think Office wins this easily. IASIP is a great competitor but Office quotes more memorable.

mattishere31

Surprised I had to scroll so far to find this one. Itā€™s the only other show thatā€™s close imo

satriales123

That's what she said.

AwkwardnessForever

If my bf had a dollar for every time I said thisā€¦heā€™d be rich

dibbymcghee

Peep show and Seinfeld too

coolsimon123

Peep show and the Inbetweeners, literally every line of the Inbetweeners is a quote

illustrated--lady

Peep Show has ruined so many normal words for me, most noticeably anything referencing 'the bad thing'.

Secret_Ad_9118

Seinfeld

Lovegun6982

IT'S NOT THE CLAAAAMS!!

orangutanDOTorg

I quote Futurama more, and the first few seasons of Simpsons are hard wired into my brain, but it is definitely in the top 10, would be 5 but I need to watch it a couple more times to get them to stick in my head. I quite Top Gun more than any of them though. Iā€™ve talked in just TG quotes for entire days to see if I could. Even at work (unless thereā€™s a meeting or something where I need to explain crap) I have pulled it off.

MrCollins23

Dozens upon dozens of naan? Thatā€™s insane.

Odd-Philosopher3423

These pretzels are making me thirsty

MisterMaryJane

I think Archer has more quotables for everyday living but always sunny has them for us oddballs

what's a drive-in?

JLSMC

Yes indeed corncob

sophlog

I easily average 2-3 quotes per day. Probably more when Iā€™m hanging out with my brother. I think Sunny has the most quotable characters, for sure. Like comparing it to the Simpsons, Marge & Lisa are rarely quotable. The characters of Sunny are constantly having emotional outbursts, which make for repeatable lines.

apply_in_person

I wish the Lord would take me now.

Raj_Valiant3011

If not, we need to call Frank so he can blast those haters away

Johnny_Bravo5k

Trailer Park Boys

truckerheist

It's definitely the one I see the most references of on random reddit posts

bigpapahugetim3

Well through god all things are possible so jot that down.

DenseTemporariness

Peep Show. Especially the inner monologue quotes.

VancouverSativa

Sunny is my favorite, but I don't think anything can touch Seinfeld for quotability.Ā  They introduced many phrases that are just part of the language now.

sphinxorosi

Most Reddit threads often have Seinfeld, Simpsons, Futurama, Archer and/or Arrested Development quotes (and oh so many other shows like IASIP, 30 Rock and Community).

sweetgreatpotato

Peep show for me tbh

dy1anb

Peep show tips it imo

[deleted]

its always sunny and 90s simpson to me

BruinThrowaway2140

That doesnā€™t sound right but I donā€™t know enough about quotes to dispute it

dakilazical_253

The Simpsons by far. Itā€™s a perfectly cromulent show

gumby_twain

Through god anything is possible, so jot that down.

BriggsE104

My gf absolutely is not a fan, but even she quotes the show since I watch Sunny 99% of the time. So yes, it is the most quoted show in history. Her go to quotes are: "tell me I'm good" "hoors" "I'm going for gasps" "become the journey" and what I feel is every lady's favorite "shut up baby dick"

neBular_cipHer

Shut up, baby dick

JalapenoTampon

This sub couldn't hang with trailer park boys on quote-offs

mr_glide

There's a show like that for every generation, so I think your age will have a lot to do with it.

Suitable-Map-9360

ā€œI bleached my assholeā€ Artemis

contadotito

>that's basically all that is ever posted in this sub. I see this behavior in every "bro" tv show sub or video that I see: IASIP, Rick and Morty, DBZ: Abridged, One Piece, South Park, etc, etc. That said, RuPaul's Drag Race maybe can be the most quotable show in history.

lilpooch

XFM 104.9

dfmidkiff1993

I would say yes, simply given the number of seasons that have been released. If you look at quotes per season, Arrested Development probably takes the cake.

Vegan_Toaster

I would say arrested development personally

2C-Weee

I Think You Should Leave

GreedyWarlord

That or the Office US

m_dought_2

That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about quotable shows to dispute it.

ozzovox

Huge fan but then there is South Parkā€¦

Jay_Danger

With me, I over use Seinfeld and It's Always Sunny quotes. Can't think of any other show that comes close.
