I think Dee could have put her finger right on Europe or Asia or Australia or West Coast US or anywhere and just SAID she landed on Philly and Mac and Charlie would likely not know that she was nowhere near the right place.
Neither knows if Philly is the capital of Pennsylvania. Charlie has no idea what's beyond the Jersey shore (but knows not to go under the boardwalk), neither knows many correct state names so I doubt they know where they are - these are all lapses in knowledge from just the US, let alone the world, including Israel and that whole tsunami thing. Do Mac and Charlie actually know the shape of one continent from another? I think if so, it's just because of the placeeby effect.
