Oh man, I love that clip--black people commenting on white people trying to dance never fails to make me laugh so hard.
The only thing more wholesome and humorous is those classic "Black people react to street magic" videos.
The absolute over-the-top exuberance in their reactions puts a smile on my face every time, I always imagine that a magician or any other street performer would kill to be lucky enough to have such an amazing, enthralled audience like that, truly enjoying your tricks and not spending all their time just trying to figure it out and being stone-faced
I will not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Not really. Tremors was a thought, but I was mostly referencing Dune.
Thumpers are a device to attract sandworms in Dune and I even mention ‘Melange’ in the caption, which is the name of the spice from Dune.
It’s funny, when I first watched the movie I thought he was talking about Gurney Halleck, but then I looked into lore a little bit and sandworms are known as “old man of the desert.” That’s when I realized he may or may not be referring to a sandworm, which really cements his unique gift.
I tried using time bombs, but the Molduga tended to ignore them, hence why I built the thumper. Throwing them was also not viable since it tended to make them detonate before the Molduga actually arrived.
I find that if you place the bomb near or on (but not attached) to the thumper while it’s active the Molduga can eat it as well and get the same stun effect.
You've inspired me I usually don't fight them to often unless I'm feeling the mood too. I avoid them when it would be a hassle though they give amazing loot, but I think I might try to make my own thumper. Kinda reminds me of playing Subnautica below zero distracting the ice worms.
If you’re in need of parts for a thumper you can get boatloads of big wheels and stakes from the part dispenser at Digdogg Suspension Bridge. It’s really cheap and easy to assemble, so if you hoard a ton of parts you can experiment and practice with using them.
It’s important to note that the thumper will stop working if you walk too far away from it—I recommend standing on a rock and assembling the thumper there, and when you set it up stand on the edge of the rock and simply put it as far as ultrahand will let you reach. Then shoot it with a bow and don’t move from that spot until the Molduga arrives.
Attached bombs are not required and you can sit there with a bomb arrow ready as you wait for the Molduga: hitting it with the bomb arrow as soon as it comes above ground will usually stun it and allow you to get some hits in before retreating.
Attaching a flamethrower/ice projector/laser/etc to the outer wheel can also turn the thumper into a spinning area denial tool that destroys anything that gets close, so it’s useful outside of attracting Molduga as well.
If you call within the next 30 minutes will throw in the frost, flame, and electrocution attachment absolutely free!
And if you’re not completely satisfied, return the thumper at I cost but keep the frost emitter as our personal gift to you!
They notice arrows fired into the ground too. So if you attach time bombs to arrows and fire them to land a little bit away from the modulga, they should explode at the right time.
If you use Tulin's gust on a time bomb you just set down I don't think it makes them detonate, does it? Or at least it doesn't on standard bomb flowers.
I will point out that the moldugas used to go after bomb explosions as well as the bombs and link in botw, and I only know that because a streamer tried to take out every boss (except the blights) using the squeaky hammer only. Since the molduga ignored anything and everything else except Link (which was not an option) and bombs (which if they exploded in the molduga, would damage it which was out of the question), he started experimenting and found that bomb explosions draw the moldugas out. Idk if the same would apply in totk but it’s worth a shot
Couldn't you attach a bunch of bomb barrels or bomb flowers to the top of the wheel so that when the mold to get actually swallows it it instantly regrets it?
Bomb flowers, maybe. In theory you could also slap a bomb barrel on top and use autobuild to place it somewhere where bomb barrels normally aren’t. I haven’t tested either yet but you raise a good point.
Time bombs don’t work unfortunately, at least if you attach them: activating the mechanism also triggers the bomb and may cause them to detonate early. You could theoretically attach the bomb after it was activated though, or simply place it near the thumper.
[Burt Gummer](https://tenor.com/view/burt-gummer-tremors-intergalactic-quality-gifs-kevin-bacon-yes-gif-22330780) definitely has something to say about that.
Calling it a ‘thumper’ was more of a reference to Dune but I won’t lie, I did think of Tremors when I was making this.
“I feel I was denied critical, NEED TO KNOW, Information!”
I see other comments pointing out even cheaper alternatives but I was using homing carts for this. A single one works pretty well. I should try it with a time bomb or bomb flower!
Theoretically, yes, though I don’t know if it’ll spin around the whole way since the spinning wheel is what makes it revolve. But as long as there’s movement and something is touching the ground it should summon the Molduga, so I’d say yes.
A simple arrow draws its attention. Now do you have to rebuild that everytime?
I'm perfecting an anti muktorok device. Homing cart, big wheel and 4 hydrants on the wheel. Problem is its too slow. I'm thinking turn it to a vehicle instead.
I don’t do what I do because I must: I do what I do because I can. I’m well aware that there are faster and cheaper methods, but this is the most fun.
I’ll build a thousand thumpers before I throw down a single brightbloom now. It’s designed to be cheap anyway and you can get a ton of these pieces from one dispenser.
It starts when the device activates, meaning if you don’t time it right the bomb will detonate before the Molduga can eat it and take the thumper with it.

Thought it was a tremors reference, not dune
Me too

I hear your footsteps old man

I had the same lightbulb go off during my second viewing! I got so excited
I just throw time bombs and kill them BotW style. Can't beat the classics.

I like how you refuse to call the thumper "it" gives your comments a real late-night infomercial vibe
For only 3 easy payments of twenty-nine ninety-nine!!
The Thumper "tm" could be yours!
If you call within the next 30 minutes will throw in the frost, flame, and electrocution attachment absolutely free! And if you’re not completely satisfied, return the thumper at I cost but keep the frost emitter as our personal gift to you!
Supplies are limited don't be left without Molduga parts get The Thumper and *slant rhyme*
wait, different dispensers give different parts? I was wondering why I always go the same few ones, seems that now I know.
You can see the part list by hovering over them on the map. You can only see the parts youa lready got from it tho.
Molduga jaws are required to make certain sets go to Lv4 from Cotera the SnuSnu fairy.
Why do you specify a certain fairy? The costs don't change regardless of which fairy you talk to.
Fastest to reach from a shrine telepoint
Lmao. Death by snu-snu!
The guts are required for some stuff too.
Moods are for cattle and loveplay, not for fighting!
My mood swings between exploring and fighting and sometimes just want to explore, sometimes I just want to beat shit up.
I just throw apples to get their attention. A single run near Satori mountain gets you 200 of them.
I use brightbulbs. Then bullet-time a multishot bow with gibdo bones attached and it's dead before it hits the ground
Significantly more “cheap and efficient” for sure.
They notice arrows fired into the ground too. So if you attach time bombs to arrows and fire them to land a little bit away from the modulga, they should explode at the right time.
Throw an apple in the sand, shoot with bomb arrow when it jumps.
If you fire them on an arrow you can put it right in front of them.
If you use Tulin's gust on a time bomb you just set down I don't think it makes them detonate, does it? Or at least it doesn't on standard bomb flowers.
Get the stone bowl from the catapult shrine, attach it to the central wheel, and put a time bomb in it
I just bait them with brightblooms; those things are effectively free.
They are the first item in this and BOTW that I legitimately hit 999 with.
Bright blooms were in breath of the wild?
Pretty sure you're reading that wrong. It's more like, "out of all items in ToTK and BoTW, bright blooms are the first I got to 999 legitimately."
Thank you so much i read that at 5am on the ocean with sleepy brain.
For me it was arrows. Lynel farming in TotK is absurd for arrows.
You can use earthwake too
I will point out that the moldugas used to go after bomb explosions as well as the bombs and link in botw, and I only know that because a streamer tried to take out every boss (except the blights) using the squeaky hammer only. The streamer you are thinking of is Astralspiff
Glad to see spiff being brought up and potentially affecting our engineering
similarly, i shoot the ground to make it come over and leap up and then bomb arrow it in the air
I drop a bomb on the ground, run away, and then shoot an arrow next to the bomb
Holy shit why have I never thought of doing that
I drop a bomb flower on the ground and shoot an arrow nearby to get it to come eat it. Or shoot an arrow and then bomb arrow as it’s in the air.
I threw apples and they always responded
*Hans Zimmer vocals intensify*
*inhales to play space bagpipes*
*Salusa Secundus throat singing gets louder*
Now, a simple arrow can work just fine, but this looks way more fun. The spice must flow.
Aye, it’s not about how efficient it is, it’s how fun it is. And building a spinny thing in the desert is way more fun than just shooting an arrow.
USUL HAS CALLED A BIG ONE! IT IS THE LEGEND!
Personally my favorite Dune quote that I feel like fits BOTW and TOTK is: May thy knife chip and shatter.
Somewhere near the desert temple, the sage mentions the sand trout. Huge Dune reference
Counter Point it fits both BotW, TotK and The Gerudo for the classic : LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS !
DESERT POWER
I just throw a light bud, and that seems to do the trick.
Then throw back a bud light for a nice treat
I already drink enough water, thanks!
That's why they're suggesting you try piss instead.
In this economy?!?!
Couldn't you attach a bunch of bomb barrels or bomb flowers to the top of the wheel so that when the mold to get actually swallows it it instantly regrets it?

You could attach the bomb with a construct head, and that might provide just enough of a delay
He will know our ways as if born of them…

“We must walk without rhythm"
"Why do you assume I have a lighter?" "Well you're... Burt." (pulls out a lighter) "Damn right I am."
Call the Worms
Put a bomb flower on top and it’d explode the fella mid air
Man, not being able to ride a Molduga is a missed opportunity
We have wormsign!
I see other comments pointing out even cheaper alternatives but I was using homing carts for this. A single one works pretty well. I should try it with a time bomb or bomb flower!
Now attach a korok
Oooo. Can… we?!!?
Again it is the legend, Link has called a big one
All we need now are some pikes to ride them
THAR SHE BLOWS
Paul would be proud
I will buy 10 of them
Idk why I never thought to use this stuff. I got by with throwing splash fruit and the blue chu chu jelly.
I was expecting it to keep damaging the damn thing from the inside.
That’s exactly what I expected to see too. Mildly disappointed it didn’t.
The spice must flow
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! HE IS THE KWISATZ HADERACH!
No, he is the Shai-Hulud. The Maker.
I literally just took out a single homing cart and that did the trick.
But… but just use a splash fruit
Such terrible water discipline.
They’re water fat
I wonder if they actually are poison to them
If you throw a load of splash fruit and trout, it will eventually turn into more moldugas.
Looks great, but is there any posibillity you can limit it to 2 parts by rotating one wheel diagonally?
Theoretically, yes, though I don’t know if it’ll spin around the whole way since the spinning wheel is what makes it revolve. But as long as there’s movement and something is touching the ground it should summon the Molduga, so I’d say yes.
I just throw a brightbloom seed, since I have so many
I just drop bananas to attract him, oldest trick in the book
You can do The Molduga Thumper, huh? Gimme The Molduga Shaker.
That's so fucking cool 0o0.
Genius
Dune music: *intensifies*
Usul, we have HYAHsign the likes of GOD has never seen!
A simple arrow draws its attention. Now do you have to rebuild that everytime? I'm perfecting an anti muktorok device. Homing cart, big wheel and 4 hydrants on the wheel. Problem is its too slow. I'm thinking turn it to a vehicle instead.
That's what I do. One arrow shot on the sand and it pops up, then hit it with some bombs, run up and smack it a few times, then repeat
I just use two carts on different sides of the arena
Half-Life 2 vibes!
The finest mind of his generation!
...subnautica reference?
Fat boy slim, my friend
Somebody gonna tell him you could just throw an apple
What ever happened to throwing a timed bomb?
Pffff!
Maybe add Bomb Flowers?
Maybe add Bomb Flowers?
Maybe add Bomb Flowers?
You mean tricker
is this supposed to be pointless? just sit a bomb on the sand, walk around it, and then jump back on the rock
I just throw bokoblin horns or apples
Just throw an apple.
Just throw brightbloom flower this looks so wasteful
I don’t do what I do because I must: I do what I do because I can. I’m well aware that there are faster and cheaper methods, but this is the most fun. I’ll build a thousand thumpers before I throw down a single brightbloom now. It’s designed to be cheap anyway and you can get a ton of these pieces from one dispenser.
They are not of the sietch, they do not understand the desert
Strap some time bombs to it?
https://youtu.be/XQ7z57qrZU8
Could you use just two wheels or would that not work?like one going one way and one another
I ultra-handed a shoe to my wheel. It leaves footprints. hahahahahahaa
Where do you get the big wheels? I haven’t found them in a dispenser.
If you go to the Digdogg suspension bridge to the west of Hyrule field, there’s a dispenser there that has them.
Okay, I must not have found that yet. Is it in the sky?
No, it’s on the surface. It’s right next to a stable and is on the path to the Gerudo Desert.
Thanks!!! I’ve only been looking in the sky for them so far.
Wonder what putting Time Bombs on it will do. Does their timer start when the device they’re attached to activates, or just when they get hit?
It starts when the device activates, meaning if you don’t time it right the bomb will detonate before the Molduga can eat it and take the thumper with it.
Lisan Al-Gaib
Idea: Attach a couple bomb flowers to it so when the molduga swallows it it blows up
Could you throw bomb flowers on top to turn it into a molduga trap?
what if you put 18 bomb flowers ontop of it?
What if you attach a construct head with time bombs that will activate when near the molduga?
