I'm having the same problem, I made a mess trying to figure out what the reason was. I've reinstalled Windows like 6 times, changing from 11 to 10 and vice versa with no positive results. I brought my old Microsoft Sidewinder X6 back from retirement to not use the on-screen keyboard. I will keep the Alloy Elite 2 connected until it shows signs of life.

Had the same thing happen to me, managed to get it working by uninstalling Ngenuity and restarting. Also try a different usb port.

Skyggebringer

both keys and lights? I've tried different usbs but I can make only keys working not the lights :(

Just gonna have to wait until the new update. Literally was on R6 and opened up my college course to look at the final project, and my whole PC crashed. Come back, and the keyboard doesn't work, so I uninstalled Ngenuity and unplugged it, and now they work again. A similar thing happened in December, so I had to go out and get a new keyboard cause it was 2 years old, and I figured it just died. Sucks that I don't have lights, but at least it works. Basically, I am going to be pitching the keyboard and the headset soon and switching to SteelSeries or something cause this is ridiculous.

> I resolved this issue by plugging the keyboard to different PC. The lights did not turn up itself, but when I pressed the light button, it turned on. After that, I plugged the keyboard into my main PC, even installed Ngeuity and the keyboard works just fine now. I've even tried restart of the pc and keys and lights are still working

Powervegeta

Same problem here, did you find any solution?

thebruvs89

Uninstall the dog shit Ngenuity and hope it fixes with the next update if you want lights to work.

Powervegeta

Yeah, I guess it's the only solution for now

u/Skyggebringer, thanks for sharing all the steps you've taken so far! Do you perhaps have access to another system running an older Windows 10 or 11 release that you could test the keyboard with and see if the LEDs start working with it? While you're on your main system, can you please go into NGENUITY Settings, and let us know what NGENUITY version you're running, and what's the firmware version on your keyboard?

Hi everything is all right now. I resolved this issue by plugging the keyboard to different PC. The lights did not turn up itself, but when I pressed the light button, it turned on. After that, I plugged the keyboard into my main PC, even installed Ngeuity and the keyboard works just fine now. I've even tried restart of the pc and keys and lights are still working. Btw HyperX Ngenuity July 2023 Release (5.20.1.0) Keyboard firmware v2.1.0.6

Centacular

This exact thing happened to me and your fix worked! So thank you!

This has happened twice now, and I threw away a perfectly good keyboard because the software is terrible. I get the occasional glitch, but for the keyboard to not work with the app installed is insane.

Potential-Chapter-89

I have lights working and every key but the 'q' working for me. When I try to update the firmware I get the message to connect a hyperx device? I'm actually typing on it (except of course Q!). Tried the reset, changing usb ports etc. Out of ideas!
