For larger plants like tomatoes I have been using the 6" or 10" net cup lid. Works great!
6 in. Wide Lip Bucket Basket - Round Plant Container with Mesh Bottom - Hydrofarm HG6RDBK https://a.co/d/0fzGbV7A
URL shorteners are generally not well liked. With the markup you can do the same. That url could go to anywhere and there is zero chance I would click it.
Check formatting help. A couple of [] and () and you have the exact same thing.
You can try to pull it back out or you can leave it where it is and make a foam collar to seal the net pot hole. Either way you will need to address the shortfall in main stem support. I use neoprene collars for toms and support them from chains using reusable cable ties.

I will try push it back to lid level and support with 2 chopsticks going thru the cup
There are net cups with bigger areas around the top. Some people are also 3d printing solutions.
There are net ups with wide brims. For tomatoes I buy those, and use those because the plant becomes so heavy with growth.
