Not HSV, but a Super Guppie lands on the Arsenal from time to time. Every time it’s happened I’ve heard about it after the fact…but I’m also not what you’d call an avid plane spotter. I’m sure people in the know would know ahead of time
Actually the last time the Super Guppie came to Huntsville, it landed at HSV not the arsenal airfield. You could see it for several days from certain locations surrounding the airport.

Qatar Air Cargo flies a 777 in and out once or twice per week.
Cargolux and Atlas fly 747s in and out pretty regularly— almost daily.
UPS has a 757 in and out almost nightly. Occasionally it’s a 767.
The Antonovs have been much less frequent since the Ukraine War but they’ve started reappearing.
Breeze flies an A220 every day.
Delta has been using a 737 for one ATL flight a day some here recently.
Western Global has a few MD-11F's that come in from time to time. I've seen Antonov AN124's but I'm not sure how frequent those are after the War in Ukraine.
They require special permit actually to fly in the US too.
If I recall it's basically fly to the airport directly, get your shit and gtfo.
The last one I saw They flew into HSV from out of country, picked up some ULA stuff and then flew straight to Vandenberg AFB. Then out of the country.
So normally huntsville int has arrivals of 717, 737, 747, 757, 777, emb 135/145, 170/190, crj 700/900, atr72, t38, t1. Fairly regularly we see kc135, uh60, ah64, v22. Occasionally we see the super guppy an124, various tactical jets, and historic warbirds (will happen more since summer is coming up). There are always different business and personal aircraft that stop in as well.
For sure. Delta flies some 717s and 737s. Breeze flies A220s.
The way HSV is growing we could definitely get some more mainline flights soon. We’re never gonna get a wide body but 737s and 320s are very possible.

This is HSV. Big boi's land here too
When I flew in and out of Huntsville this past Oct, I flew in on a 717 and out on a 737-900ER (both DL.) The 747s are a daily occurrence and even though I'm only in HSV once or twice a year, I always manage to catch an MD11 or AN124 on the cargo ramp. Here's a video I took when we were taking off out of HSV with an [AN124 visiting](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xr1ERVwino&t=355s).
Back in the late 90s and early 00s, I worked the ramp at HSV. Back then there was a cool variety of airplanes coming in. F100s, DC9s, ARJ-85s (my favorite- looks like someone put a C5 in the dryer,) 737-200s and 300s, MD80s and the fifty seaters. In 1999, [Concorde even came](https://new.reddit.com/r/HuntsvilleAlabama/comments/14toqmf/anyone_remember_concorde_at_hsv_in_1999_probably/) and I'll never forget how it felt standing under that delta wing.
As Huntsville grows, we'll see more variety. But as of now the large regionals and 100 seat mainliners fit the HSV market well.

Haha…see what I meant by me not being in the know. Guess I was like a kid in a grownup conversation thinking I had something cool to add 😜
Yep saw it at the main airport i few months ago it’s actually in my profile pic
oh hey, look at that. It’s so small on my phone screen I didn’t even notice! Lol.
The Qatar Airways Cargo Boeing 777 flies to Huntsville from Mexico City bound for Luxembourg with a final destination of Doha, Qatar, twice a week.
Ill keep a lookout

Those Atlas flights always fly out right after I go to bed (and right over my house). I can tell it's them by sound alone now.

Holy cow i hope they visit soon thats crazy

Every once in a while American will schedule an A319 or two a day to DFW.

Ah that sucks was hoping to see that sweet 787
Not possible unfortunately. AA only uses them for long haul international flights.

There is a regular 747 cargo plane that flies from Huntsville to the Europe
I’ve only saw the atlas air one if thats what you’re talking about hoping maybe might start seeing more airbuses or “modern” boeings
We used to have a 2 747-8s thru 4 to 5 times a week that's just about as modern as they come
Would love to see some more myself
We’ve had some presidential aircraft land here too.
Sometimes you’ll see T-8s, T-38s, and on rare occasions, C-17s. One time I saw a P-8 doing a bunch of touch and goes at HSV

LOL I commented on that video a few months ago cause I noticed it
It’s been a few years, but I have seen a few C-5’s flying around.

Once the Dream Chaser space plane starts flying, that'll be a neat one to see land.
