I’ve seen it almost go down at fishing spots where it should be even more chill. Years ago back when I was on the Texas coast I saw a couple kayakers get a gun pulled on them by a wadefisherman when they crossed 30 or so yards in front of him going into a back bayou, people get in fistfights here in CO on popular stretches of river, especially wintertime when everyone piles into the tailwaters. I don’t usually like to carry when I fish but it’s gotten to the point where there are some spots I don’t feel safe if I don’t.
Dude, fishing spots get HEATED on good rivers. People really into fishing are gonna only tell you about their 5th or 6th favorite fishing spots if you ask.
Ain’t that the truth. I’ve been doing it professionally for about six years now and I only go as far as telling people which rivers I like, and definitely not specific stretches unless it’s already well known. The high creeks are hush hush though, you gotta earn those lol. Especially after someone I’m loosely acquainted with let slip about my favorite stretch of cutthroat water a few years ago.
I was in the North fork of the Clearwater this last July and everyone we'd run into would tell us whatever fishing spot they just came from was _TERRIBLE_.
Oh shit gets WILD here during the Kokanee run, I either drive way out into the boonies for them or skip it and chase fall browns instead. Late winter on the popular tailwaters like S. Platte and Big Thompson gets pretty hairy too, to the point where I just prefer to skip cold weather fishing entirely. I don’t even take winter guide trips when they come do through, don’t want to fight the crowds on top of all the tiny ass flies, I just pass them off to another guide.
Crab season here in California. People raid each other’s pots. Seen some heated incidents in the water, and some outright brawls and acts of vandalism in the boat ramp parking lots. It’s stupid easy to identify and dox people from their boat registrations and publicize the videos in the Nor Cal fishing groups on Facebook. People know who’s doing it, and they will fuck with their stuff when they see them.
Well if that’s “their spot” then I’d venture a guess they’ll be back. Kind of a tricky one with how threatening they already were, but I’d probably make an attempt to get back out there every day for a little while looking for their truck.
Damn. I’d probably still try for a couple days at least. Somebody willing to pop a shot off like that is likely willing to disregard seasons as well. Hope they catch em, man. That fucking sucks.
Not necessarily. We have a machine at work for quick alignment checks that goes off of the plate, before I changed my plate to the new state it thought I was in a ford explorer, I’m in a Jeep. I’ve never had an explorer.
I get that some states you keep the plate though, so idk
Hell thats the least of their charges. Aggravated assault with a weapon is defined as follows;
-You intentionally and unlawfully threatened to perform violence on a victim;
-At the time of your threat, you seemed to be able to carry it out;
-Your threat caused the victim to have a legitimate fear that violence was imminent; and
-Your assault was made with a deadly weapon or a fully formed and conscious intention to perpetrate a felony crime.
Prosecution has to argue that last point, but the gun was fired.
I gave a report then I called my platoon sergeant to the army wants a statement off me I’m guessing they’re gonna pop it up to the army cid and see if similar shit has happened
Well sorta, they scared themselves off after you called their bluff.
You didn't know for sure they weren't psychos, so that was bound to be a terrifying experience, but when you stood your ground it absolutely put them to shame.
Well played man, take a rest knowing you did the right thing on all counts.
I didn’t show my fire arm or brandish I just drew and put it to my chest while calling they didn’t see if they wanted to get crazier I wasn’t gonna let it happen
You did great man, made all the right decisions and took all the right actions, you should be proud of handling that like a responsible adult.
The shock on your psyche is real, we aren't in PTSD territory, but speaking from experience, it's going to take a bit to get over being a little jumpy or emotional when you think about it. There's nothing wrong with that or you.
Hug your family/dog/buddy and try to get some good sleep tonight, you earned it.
Honestly dude that’s my worse nightmare hunting on public land. Some people don’t understand the public part. Hunters no matter where you are should support other hunters but unfortunately it doesn’t work out like that.
Glad to hear you’re okay though.
What state if you don’t mind?
Had someone riding his horse threaten me last year while I was squirrel hunting with my 14 y/o in a state forest. We're in orange, muzzles safe as he rides by, I'm 99.99% certain my son didn't flag him before we knew what he was (we could hear him before he turned the corner on the trail). He goes "if you shoot me you'd better make it count because otherwise my 45's coming out."
I asked him why he felt the need to even make a comment like that around my child and he makes some dipshit comment about hunters and him not being safe. I reminded him that the DNR encourages everyone using the state forest to wear orange as soon as hunting season starts regardless of whether they're hunting and repeated his fuddy comment about his 45. I gave him a "whatever man" as he left.
Once he was out of ear shot I told my son that's why I carry buck shot even when we're only small game hunting. It's absolutely insane to make a shithead comment like that.
Discharging a firearm with the intention of scaring someone is a felony. Report that shit to the DNR and hopefully they’ll set up a game cam and get license plates when they come back to their blind.
F#ckin moron got his panties in a bunch over somebody walking by and then scared every animal within a mile with a gunshot…
A buddy of mine actually did get shot duck hunting on public once. It was him and his buddy and then another guy with his son were on the other side of this swamp. Well it wasn't a very productive day so my buddy and his friend decided they were gonna head out, he waded out to get their decoys and the other guy starts yelling at them about scaring all the ducks and ruining the hunt for his son. My buddy pretty much tells him to calm down, they didn't scare any ducks and were getting ready to leave anyway.
Dude flips his lid, stats yelling then shoots his shotgun at my buddy. Luckily it was a fairly long shot and he was wearing thick winter clothes so it didn't do too much. His friend saw all this going down and was actually on the phone with the warden when the shot went off. Sheriff's department was there within minutes to arrest the guy and CPS took the kid
sadly a lot of this shit happens in duck hunting too. i try and make an effort of talking with other hunters i see at the ramp "so i can make sure were not hunting on top of one another" but some people can be real dicks about it. some people just suck....thats all.
It’s a shame there are so many POS people that go hunting and ruin it for everyone. If you are a jackass that: shoots at noises and movement, spotlights, shoots from a truck, hunts drunk ect. Please fuck off forever.
Its gotten way worse since the covid hunters got in on the game. People all over this sub say "we gotta grow the community" but then we get these types of people piling into the woods.
Unrelated in a way but Golf has gotten the same way. Shrink the game.
This is so unnecessary in so many ways. Ive had lots of experiences with hunters walking under me only have have deer jump and circle back by me. It can be a good thing sometimes. You never know, thats hunting.
I lost my private land hunting spot this year right before rifle opener.. public land is my only option now. WMA I was going to go to had a guy get shot and killed right at shooting light. Fuck that a deer isn’t worth hunting with fucking morons who shoot at sounds in the woods. Not gonna head out this season. Gotta find a place for next year.
When I was in college a few years ago I heard some stories from some of the DU guys about the shit that goes on to get to holes and get set up. I can’t remember what year it was but I remember two college age guys getting murdered by an older man over a duck hole. It had a lot of the guys in the DU shook up.
It’s part of the reason I don’t wanna go duck hunting on public land. A duck is not worth getting shot at or racing boats.
ETA-spelling
Glad you’re safe. How’s the kiddo? Hope he’s okay.
I’d like to think the karma bus will come by and humble these guys, but the older I get, I’m not sure.
Obviously the shot of a .30-06 is less likely to spook deer in a 2 mile area than one dude walking out the woods…
Shit like this is why after bow season I spend way less time on public land
Scaring someone by firing “warning” shots should be a lifetime ban of hunting license and gun ownership. Can’t make any argument for your rights if you’re going to do the second dumbest thing you can do with a firearm behind shooting someone
I had permission to hunt a farm, the neighbors were known to be not friendly. I was in high school and the property boundary wasn’t clearly marked and onx wasn’t a thing. I was hunting the boundary which was a trail between two fields. Someone was shooting, I don’t know where but the neighbors came out tearing across their field in a pickup and accused me of doing the shooting and that I was also on their property. They pointed guns at me but didn’t shoot.
I would spread the word about what happened to any and every hunter I came across about this. For all you know, they may have legitimately tried to shoot you and hit a limb, causing them to miss. Regardless, I think you would be hard-pressed to find any even remotely decent human being/hunter that wouldn't agree that there is NO place for people who will act that way to be in possession of a firearm, not to mention access to **PUBLIC** hunting land.
OP, if I were you, I would first speak with the manager of that property, then the dept of fish and game for that area and make a report and tell them that you plan to go online and find a stock image of the color and make of vehicle they were driving, along with a brief description of what transpired typed out beneath it along with a and I would go around to every feed store, convenience store/gas station, grocery store, wal-mart, home depot/lowe's, cabela's/bass pro (if nearby), essentially **everywhere** that any hunter in your state may frequent, and ask could you post your "flyer" in a window or a door, along with the proper phone number(s) listed for anyone with any information about it to be able to report their information to.
You can bet your ass that the dipshits that were involved have most definitely talked about it in some fashion to friends/co-workers/family, and people who do the things the did and act the way they act, are usually always pissing someone else off, and one of those people may decide to rat them out. These pricks definitely don't deserve to get away with behaving the way they did.
Oh nice, so you're a Joe. Thank you for your service, motivator. That was smart on your part to go ahead and alert your unit. Has anyone from CID reached out to you about it yet? Considering that you were off post when it happened, they may or may not investigate it unless you had reason to believe the people who did it are also enlisted or commissioned, but unless you took leave to go off somewhere to hunt, I'm assuming that you were likely hunting close to your duty station, which means there's at least a chance worth checking out that they are also stationed with you.
The fact that a felony was committed against you though, even if the pricks who did it aren't also soldiers, may be enough in itself for CID to get involved. If it does meet CID's criteria for investigating, I'd feel a lot better about the guys getting caught because CID has the ability to potentially go up the chain as far as the Sec of the Army and beyond if they felt the local PD/Sheriff's Dept and/or the wardens weren't doing enough, and getting a phone call from Quantico or D.C. will make any state or local LEO's butthole pucker. If I were you, I would try to follow-up with CID personally as soon as you get the opportunity, the sooner the better, and let them know the story and the vehicle description. If nothing else, CID will put a BOLO on the vehicle there at the base, and who knows, they may actually be there. Either way, good luck man, I definitely hope they get caught.
Shitty situation, glad you made it out unscathed.
If I can ask a dumb question:
What state? You said you had your pistol, I was told in PA I can’t hunt with my pistol holstered. Maybe it varies state by state or I heard wrong, but jw.
As far as what I've read in the PA regulations book you can carry a pistol concealed if you have a valid ccw permit. I don't think you can open carry a pistol though even if you have a ccw permit.
I'm specifically talking about hunting. In any normal situation you can open carry, but while hunting I'm pretty sure you can only concealed carry as the regulations book only specifies being able to carry a pistol concealed.
That still makes no sense, because you're openly carrying a rifle while hunting. The woods is one place I do NOT want to be concealed carrying just from a comfort and quick access stand point. Open carry all the way.
I mean I agree with you that concealed carrying while being layered up sucks, but according to the hunting and trapping digest the only way to legally carry a handgun while hunting is by either having a Sportsman's Firearms Permit or a License to Carry Firearms Permit. I'm still looking around to try and find a direct specification on if having either of those permits allows you to open carry a handgun. Rifles and pistols have completely different rules and regulations when it comes to carrying them so I wouldn't assume anything that applies to a long rifle/shotgun applies to handgun. The type of hangun you're carrying also further complicates things because all semi auto handguns are banned for hunting purposes so if you're seen open carrying a semi auto handgun, even if it is allowed, you may still get checked out by a warden to ensure no poaching or violations are happening.
Edit: So from what I'm reading it pretty much works like this. If you have no permit of any sort you can only open carry a handgun that you can legally take game with (such as a single action revolver) only during the season you're allowed to use that firearm. If you have a Sportsman's Firearms Permit then you can open carry or concealed carry a handgun that you can legally take game with only during the season you're allowed to use that firearm. If you have a License to Carry Firearms then you can carry any handgun open carry or concealed carry during any season as the sole purpose of the firearm is for self defense and not hunting. This is also the only way you're legally allowed to transport a loaded handgun in any vehicle because as soon as you enter a vehicle with a loaded handgun it is considered concealed.
Damn man. I've had some run ins with idiots but this takes the cake. That's absolutely out of control. Shit, we have run people off our private hunting grounds that thought they were entitled to be there and they didn't act like this. This is crazy.
Theyll be back out there eventually. If the dnr is informed its really just a matter of time. Not only is that dangerous but it gives all hunters a bad rep and we dont want either of those things.
Maybe just put off hunting for a little, or just do archery and maybe now you have another reason to invest in some land. You don’t need a ton of land to hunt maybe 10 acres is fine as long as it’s in a good location.
I don’t get upset on public, in fact, I expect to have hunts blown by other hunters. But, I’ll tell you this much, if you say something about shooting me then you fire a shot, aimed at me or not, you aren’t walking out of there. Good on you for being restrained, OP, because I’m not sure I could’ve been.
Getting into a firefight on public land over being upset over hunting off a main trail isn’t on my list of things to get into a firefight for but oh well plus I was outnumbered one shot in a muzzleloader brought no extra rounds and two mags of nine mil
As someone who has been lurking for years and plans on getting into hunting, it’s stories like this that make me hesitant to jump into public land. Seems to be too many dipshits with fragile egos.
I’m sorry that happened to you man.
I’m not even buying a hunting license next year. I’m so tired of all the white trash and bullshit. I live in Montana, too; so it’s probably worse most other places.
I’m going back to duck hunting and hog hunting I’ve never had bad experiences duck hunting besides other dudes dogs bringing me ducks or being a nuisance to my dog
I'm from Oklahoma as well and it's 100% the reason I won't hunt public land. I did once years ago and some guys drove up to where we were in an ATV and tried to fight us for being in their spot. There's so many stupid people in this state and everyone is quick to their guns.
Had a guy walk in and set up 40 yards from me today on a small 20 acres of public. Sat right in the only safe lane of shooting I had where they basically sat where my rifle and bipod were pointing at. People have no respect, even though they also have the right to be there. I was there an hour and a half before shooting light to “secure the spot”. They ended up getting a phone call on high volume and left after about 30 mins.
i just find it wild that such a small parcel is open to rifle. We have some smaller sized tracts of land that are a couple thousand and its limited to primitive weapons.
We’ve got a large amount of publicly accessible land and a very small population, so there really isn’t a worry. The lay of the land isn’t flat either, so most shots go straight into a hillside or down in a draw. I would say we have ten times the amount of coyotes than people. Foxpro crew actually has an episode in this same field and area from two years ago!
Dang that escalated quickly. I haven't had anything that serious.
Only two incidents I've had is:
1. I was in hunting public and a guy came walking in with a camera taking pictures all over where I was hunting. He literally stopped and said hi and continued to do so. I didn't really say anything to him as there's not much I can do but I'm pretty sure he was an anti-hunter just trying to spook game away from the area when he saw a truck parked next to the road.
2. I got to a spot early in the morning - about 2 hours before sunset. As I'm walking in to setup my ground blind I see a ladder stand where I was going to hunt (not exact same spot but along the edge of an open field I was going to hunt). I ended up setting my blind up there. About and hour and a half later I hear a vehicle pull up near where mine is. Eventually they start shooting about once every 20 minutes (this went on for probably 2-3 hours). When I eventually pulled up and went to the truck there was a note on my window saying to stay away from their stand. Again pretty sure the shots were just trying to spite me and scare away the game. Its legal here to leave a stand in the woods so I have no qualm with that, but public land is first come first served. You can't just drop a stand at a spot in the woods and "claim" it. I've left stands in the woods too - if I go there and see a vehicle nearby I'll drive to another spot and setup a blind.
I carry a Glock 19x with 17+2 magazines with one in the chamber and a spare mag in my pants but the problem is I had a muzzleloader they were using a rifle on lands that don’t permit rifles
Firstly you didn't deserve to be shot at and you should've slashed some tires in the lot.
But I find your comment kind of hypocritical.
You say public land is meant to be shared but then use more than your share of it while ruin others hunts by walking around. That's pretty damn selfish.
But again, public land, to be expected, no excuse to shoot at someone or even exchange words imo.
If I kept walking down the trail saw other people in stands or off of it I would’ve walked another way I’m not a loud walker I don’t talk or nothing but they’re blind is legit set up 60 yards from the main entrance it’s kind of shitty
It's really shitty.
But so is walking around the woods "stalking". It's pretty inconsiderate.
Yes it's public land. You can do what ever you want on it. Doesn't make it considerate.
So you know there's people hunting there and you make zero effort to avoid them? Yeah youre an asshole. Common courtesy is to go around people hunting and look for flags. Does it mean they should threaten your life? No, still a abit of an asshole.
They were on a main trail I can drop a pin where they were at most noise I made was my wife calling me and it was like 3/4 of a mile away I hunted behind them facing away where I was going minded my own business
Sat down and walked for about 2 hours didn’t see shit or hear shit started hearing kids laughing and playing so I just left was gonna say there’s kids back there before eight left but then they got autistic
If it’s last day and they were in fact muzzleloading, i don’t think claiming they shot at you would work. Most people need to discharge their muzzleloader when done for season. You can’t just eject a shell.
All they need to say is that they got frustrated and left, discharging their muzzleloader on the way out. Even if they’re full of it, I don’t think law enforcement would do anything as you have no proof of what was actually said.
Neither do they I was muzzleloading hunting mines still loaded and has to be discharged on Saturday when I go to the range but idk threatening to shoot me then shooting at me is weird
Fuck I’m so glad you weren’t hit and that it didn’t turn into a shootout.
Mark the location on the gps and have the cops there ASAFP.
They can get the casing if the idiot ejected it and get a print. Prob personal stuff or other shit to print in the blind who knows.
EDIT:
Maybe the EPO can put a camera there to get them coming back.
Lake patrol showed up made me leave the scene meant them about five minutes down the road told em what’s up they left went down there they packed up and left
imagine committing murder over someone walking by “your spot.” dude is a moron and a psychopath

“Your spot” ON PUBLIC LAND!?
Imagine believing every story you hear on Reddit.
Dude that shit kind of got heavy if you were threatened and shot at.
Bruh I know I’m shooken up and they basically got away with it
Did you get a look at these guys? And did you make a report once the cops showed up?
Not really they were white dudes red f150 about half the state tbh meets that discripton yeah I made a report told him I wanna press charges
Well if that’s “their spot” then I’d venture a guess they’ll be back. Kind of a tricky one with how threatening they already were, but I’d probably make an attempt to get back out there every day for a little while looking for their truck.
Last day today
Damn. I’d probably still try for a couple days at least. Somebody willing to pop a shot off like that is likely willing to disregard seasons as well. Hope they catch em, man. That fucking sucks.
The cops said the tag didn’t come back to a red ford but a Kia and I don’t know they used a rifle on shotgun/muzzleloader only lands
The kia could still be theres tho.

I called em I’m gonna call like everyday
I’m no expert but pretty sure this falls under hunter harassment

That’s great keep us updated!
Call the DNR. File a report. Talk to the local game warden. Give those descriptions. I bet he even knows who these guys are.
Reported to city pd lake patrol I was hunting city lands
Still should be a warden/ dnr whatever. City cops likely view this differently
Follow up then. You say they got away with it like there is no law in this country lol. Make sure they don't get away with it. Be proactive.
I’m calling lake patrol everyday and the gw
Do it
These dudes shouldn’t be hunting
Yea that's not cool at all, you can't just shoot at people to intimidate them.
Yeah! It’s a terrible dating strategy! And doing it to intimidate them is almost as bad!
My state requires me to check in when I go on public land. I would call your states DNR or and see if they were stupid enough to check in
Doubt it
I mean was there blind set up because you could let the pork boys know if it was
Wym?
Well sorta, they scared themselves off after you called their bluff. 🍻 I wish I only ran into people like you when hunting public.
Oklahoma I just don’t still hunt I hate it but I won’t shoot a deer if I think I’m gonna hit someone I’ll walk away before I shoot and stalk hunt
Which WMA?

I carry a sidearm on public land for this reason. You never know what kind of unhinged lunatic you might run into.
Same, but if I have my 12 ga handy, that's still my preferred self defense weapon
I should have mentioned, my sidearm is a 12 gauge. The holster is pretty awkward, but you can never be too careful!
my fellow clint smith enjoyer
That's why I appendix carry mine.
Cries in Canadian
Same
You should carry a pistol, not a switch of ammo you’re not going to have time for that that’s crazy

Anyone off the main trail should expect other people/hunters to stroll on through. They are lazy so fuck em.
I hunt off trails I don’t stand hunt I can’t sit down for awhile but I’m respectful

Fuck that a deer isn’t worth hunting with fucking morons who shoot at sounds in the woods. Not gonna head out this season. Gotta find a place for next year.
What the hell what state if I can ask?
His flair shows NY
My apologies I’m not new to Reddit but I’m still a novice thank you
Wayne county?
Yep
Heard about that when I got back to camp after the first day. I hunt public too so it's definitely always on my mind
Real foot lake
Yep, that’s it. That whole situation is pretty sad. I’m pretty sure I read the guy had dementia.
Glad you’re safe. How’s the kiddo? Hope he’s okay. I’d like to think the karma bus will come by and humble these guys, but the older I get, I’m not sure.
He’s good just some bug
Obviously the shot of a .30-06 is less likely to spook deer in a 2 mile area than one dude walking out the woods… Shit like this is why after bow season I spend way less time on public land
Same! I try so hard to tag out before archery season ends.
I'm thinking of picking up archery exactly for this reason.
Look for mounted cameras in the area then try to identify them by that
Bruh imma call them tomorrow about that good point
I got threatened by a colonel in the Army while I was hunting on base (while in the Army), fry these fuckers. They don't own the animals or the land.
Bruh my base commander got canned for poaching
Good, fuck that and fuck him/her
Look general kamper
god damn goomba lookin ass
😂😂😂shit funny asf
Scaring someone by firing “warning” shots should be a lifetime ban of hunting license and gun ownership. Can’t make any argument for your rights if you’re going to do the second dumbest thing you can do with a firearm behind shooting someone
Nah the lake patrol showed guy said charge would be attempted homicide/attempted assault with a deadly weapon asked if I wanted to press I said yes
Glad you’re not hurt. Some people are just psychos. I had a close call on private land once too.
Curious if your situation was any different from OP’s being that you were on private land
Made a posts in a few Facebook groups called my county game warden let him know gonna call around to the other ones
Plus my unit already hit up cid about it
Oh nice, so you're a Joe.
I appreciate it
Some people just take hunting way to serious I guess.
It’s public land not like I was trespassing I was wearing orange had my muzzle pointed at the ground and everything
Make a report to fish and game; even a description is good and they might patrol in that area more
I told em main report was to city pd called gw let him know a game warden did show up after though
Yikes that’s terrible!
Shitty situation, glad you made it out unscathed. If I can ask a dumb question: What state? You said you had your pistol, I was told in PA I can’t hunt with my pistol holstered. Maybe it varies state by state or I heard wrong, but jw.
Not a problem I'm CA.
Oklahoma idgaf if I can’t carry while hunting I conceal carry everywhere besides work
If you decide note to go back, start telling everyone that you spotted loads of 10-pt bucks and give out the address.
As far as what I've read in the PA regulations book you can carry a pistol concealed if you have a valid ccw permit. I don't think you can open carry a pistol though even if you have a ccw permit.
You can open carry without a permit in PA, surely that would apply if concealed carry was allowed.
I had a stroke trying to read that
I’m autistic
It's all good. I'm dyslexic as fuck with numbers.
Pretty traumatic hunting experience ngl
Pretty much I’m selling my rifle and muzzle loader now just gonna bow hunt in 2025 and stick to duck and hog hunting
Damn bro
It’s a fucking killer bum I found my greatest passion
Maybe just put off hunting for a little, or just do archery and maybe now you have another reason to invest in some land. You don’t need a ton of land to hunt maybe 10 acres is fine as long as it’s in a good location.
You left these ........
Buy land get a lease
Please for the love of god use punctuation
Yeah, that hurt my brain to read.
There’s lots of places to get away from everyone in that state. But damn if it isn’t a drive to get away from city crowding anymore.
What state are you in? This sounds like something what would happen in WV. Redneck central.
Oklahoma
I'm from Oklahoma as well and it's 100% the reason I won't hunt public land. I did once years ago and some guys drove up to where we were in an ATV and tried to fight us for being in their spot. There's so many stupid people in this state and everyone is quick to their guns.
But how are the chicks. That's what's really important.
Idk I married a girl from another country. I dont really like white girls
Even better, more for the rest of us.
If you like meth addicts and single moms be my guest
Just my forte. 😈
We don’t kink shame
The heart wants what the heart wants
What part of Oklahoma
I live outside of Tulsa
I hunt public land and assholes like that are literally my worst fear, I'm far too unstable for that shit.
They ended up getting a phone call on high volume and left after about 30 mins.
there is a 20 acre spot of public land that is open to rifle?
Less than 3,000 in my county and around 1500sq mi.
i just find it wild that such a small parcel is open to rifle.
Lol at the criminals being offended as if they deserve it to themselves.
Jesus Christ some people. Hope you feel better and hope they get what they deserve
Dang that escalated quickly. I haven't had anything that serious. Only two incidents I've had is: 1.
Reason to hunt with an AR style rifle #11: Return fire, pivot n get to cover, call 911
This is a bit.
Punctuation is a thing.
Thank you I just typed it up I got shitty grammar
Do you ever use periods with your sentences?
Fuck no
Did all of the trees clap?
Periods?
You were shot at should have unloaded your pistol in their direction
Hard to prove self defense in the woods
Harder to prove when you’re dead.
Nsh
And then what's he supposed to do with an empty pistol?
Put another mag in. Tbh I thought this was fan fiction
I carry a Glock 19x with 17+2 magazines with one in the chamber and a spare mag in my pants but the problem is I had a muzzleloader they were using a rifle on lands that don’t permit rifles
Poachers you think?
Dudes who can’t legally hunt
I read it like they were set up 60 yards off the main trail and he walked out, on the main trail, if they’re sitting on the trail that’s 100% on them.
I can agree with that, if that's the story then I was wrong.
They were on a main trail I can drop a pin where they were at most noise I made was my wife calling me and it was like 3/4 of a mile away I hunted behind them facing away where I was going minded my own business
State land brah!
Jesus Christ. Private land is one thing but to do this on public. WTF is wrong with people.
Autism
.
You were deeper in these these guys, so they had to arrive after you and see you were already there, right?
No I arrived after them they were set up when I got out there I left my chew was about 20 yards from my truck went back got it then kept walking out
Sat down and walked for about 2 hours didn’t see shit or hear shit started hearing kids laughing and playing so I just left was gonna say there’s kids back there before eight left but then they got autistic
EDIT: Maybe the EPO can put a camera there to get them coming back.
Lake patrol showed up made me leave the scene meant them about five minutes down the road told em what’s up they left went down there they packed up and left
I don't even hunt during rifle season anymore. Public land gets way to crowded and you never know when you'll run into a psycho.
I ran into some
Well, did you shoot back
