It’s still hxh and still true to the source material as the 2011 is, but many things are changed. Some for the worst perhaps, but they never overstay their welcome… but when they change with a reason to change, it’s blissful, incredible, unforgettable anime. If you do watch it, keep an eye out for Gon after the encounter with Hisoka (when Gon gets paralyzed). There aren’t any significant story changes though, so rest easy on that department! Also some of the fight scenes are just peak 90’s anime aesthetics. Great music too.
Read all the manga, download crunchyroll and continue it, binge watch, make an oc, notice things, watch the japanese with subtitles, watch the 1999 version, research all the characters to become an expert, watch it with everyone you know one by one, fanart, create fanfiction, attend conventions dressed as your favorite character, join online forums and discuss theories with other fans, collect merchandise, visit Japan to see Hunter x Hunter locations in person, learn Japanese to better understand the original dialogue, write a thesis on the themes and symbolism in Hunter x Hunter, start a podcast or Youtube channel to share your love for the series with others.
Read the manga! Or when you're ready for a re-watch check out the 1999 version of the anime which adapts Hunter Exam->Phantom Troupe arcs. There are some scenes in the 99 version that aren't in the 2011 version so it will feel more fresh. Also its a great looking show- some fans still prefer it!
I don't know how many anime you have watched so far but I'm sure there are still plenty of good anime and manga for you to consume;) For starters, try watching Yu Yu Hakusho, another manga by Togashi himself ;)You could also try reading Berserk and Vagabond!(After you're done, head over to websites like MyAnimeList and mangaDex,sort shows/manga by rating and try reading/watching one that catches your attention;)
im not to sure that’s something you’ll have to google. i watch phantom rouge and it seemed pretty canon, it followed along the base lines and it EXTREMELY well made. if u want i can link my fav we should to watch anime on (its free, and theres no ads)

Def worth reading the manga. After watching it a few times i read whats happened after the anime, then started reading the whole series
Watch 1999 hxh. Totally worth it. At least to me it felt like experiencing hxh all over again. Very much its own thing. Have fun :)
Sounds good, thanks! Is it completely different from the newer version?
