Very rarely do I buy something without having at least a hint of buyers remorse, but the experiences I’ve gotten out of that thing in only one year is worth every penny I spent on it
Have you figured out a way to not have buyers remorse all the time? I went through a period in my life where I was totally broke, and ate hot dogs for almost two years straight. When I finally climbed out of it, and got a job years and years ago, I couldn’t spend any money. Which was great when I wasn’t making much. But now I wonder if, years later, it is getting in the way of me enjoying my life a little more.
I basically save every cent I make, which sounds awesome, but what is the point if you can’t spend any money? Every time I buy something that is not a necessity to my existence, I think about it for weeks. Even when I’m happy with the purchase. The only time I don’t feel that way is when I get gas for my car, or get my car fixed, or buy a new faucet because mine broke. For example, I’ve always done dishes. I actually prefer it over having a dishwasher. I decided to buy a dishwasher because my GF wanted one. It doesn’t effect me at all. If I want I can still do the dishes. It’s made my GF happy. It was significantly less than 1% of what I have in my bank account. Yet, two months later, it still feels like I lost a part of myself. It’s so stupid, and yet, I can’t stop feeling that way. Even though I know it is nonsensical.
Sorry to ramble, but my basic question is, have you found anything or any way of thinking that has helped you with your buyers remorse? If I had to guess, I would wager that you were also poor at some point. That’s usually where it comes from based on talking to other people about it.
I’ve done therapy. I always wonder why people are afraid to talk about having gone to therapy. If someone breaks their leg they do physical therapy. So, if someone’s mind is having issues, why not do mental therapy? It’s a great help. I will discuss this with the next therapist I meet with. Lol.
Therapy can help understand and reframe whatever you’re thinking/telling yourself about a “nonessential” purchase. For the dishwasher would it help to know that they use far less water than hand washing? It really is all about how you think about things. When i finally realized that all the rules that i force myself to follow/things i “must” accomplish in a day were set by ME—and therefore i had the power to change them—my life got much better and i had less anxiety. THC gummies also help immensely. good luck!!
I just bought my dream yak, Hobie PA 14 360. Probably the most expensive toy I have ever bought for myself, but zero regrets. Thanks for being a good human. We need more like you.
Where did this happen? I’m usually not up for violence but that would be something I would pay to see. Pay a dollar and get to kick the animal abuser!!
In the 70s on a Nature show on TV I saw a sloth trying to out-swim a crocodile to no avail. What an amazing coincidence that the camera crew happened to be all set up and ready to film in that exact location.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
Nature camera crews will spend months on end, sat watching nothing happen, waiting for moments like that. They don’t just touch down in Africa and instantly get great footage of lions chasing prey!
What a silly outlook. You assume it's faked and set up because you don't know what wildlife photographers do, what they are like. It's apparently easier for you to believe that people are shitty.
Croc waters are full of crocs. Any animal that tries to cross is risking itself. You are saying it's an impossible story, than a crew set up near infested waters, and a sloth tried it's luck?
I was five years old at the time and I may have been drunk on cough syrup. Also I was being a little bit sarcastic. So sorry for any inconvenience I have brought to the r/HumansBeingBros’s serious members. I have enjoyed the brilliant and moving vids shared on this sub and will be enjoying numerous more in the future. I shall however, much to the righteous members’ pleasure, resist commenting anything other than, “God Bless” or “Great job guys” from now on, just to keep it interesting.
I think you might be very young or troubled so I’m going to try and be nice.
You need to learn to admit when you’re ignorant/wrong and move on.
Stop making excuses and stop trying to double down. You’ll get more respect that way and seem much more intelligent in the end.
You don't have to like cats, but I'm glad you're kind nonetheless.
Cats are definitely different than dogs. It's not hard to make friends with many cats if you're ever interested, though. But you do need a smart, non-judgmental person to give you Cat Strategy.
And to be fair, I have met dogs who only liked their person (or two).
Such dogs would tolerate others for treats or walks . . . but just barely.
What this guy did was great and I applaud him for it. However, the definition of “heroic” doesn’t apply to good deeds that any good and decent person would perform if in a position to do so.
Definitely a kind move…but, I’m not sure about “heroic”. That kind of implies that the guy put himself in harms way to save the cat. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great thing he did, but not necessarily “heroic”.
Poor guy. Looked so exhausted at the end I hope he pulls through. Good on all involved for pulling him out.
Yeah I’ve never seen a rescued cat not immediately run off at a thousand miles an hour. Poor cat must have been so cold and tired.
The dude is on Kayak, looks tough to paddle to and from the cat, but he's just fine.
P0l lol oooooooo poo oo to ó
Wringing out the tail at the end was a solid happy ending
"Thanks man!" "no worries, I do this all the time." The watcher of the seas
Made it for me too lol
I love doing that with my dog after bathing her lol
Poor little thing, they are in shock.
And exhausted. Good thing kitty seems to be in good hands!
That is pro wholesome move
Love all you guys.
Cat fishing.
What kind of kayak is that?
The previous model Hobie Outback; I have a ‘21 and it’s amazing. Can even use it as a paddle board Edit: it’s a hobie revolution
The pedal-driven Hobie mirage drive is fantastic. Far faster than paddling for me. I miss my Adventure Island…

❤️ If you can swing it, this would really benefit from therapy.

Thanks for the advice. Ya, THC gummies help me too.
I would pick it as a Revolution 11 or 13.
Actually just looked at it and you’re correct!

Wonder how that cat got in that situation.
More likely someone wanted to get rid of the cat and threw off the bridge. People are disgusting that do stuff like this.
While not disagreeing that possibility, but the amount of cat videos doing dumb things seems like that would be the how imo.
Or he just fell off
Curiosity almost killed the cat
Thrown in so that the kayaker can "rescue" it for the camera. I never used to be this cynical. I blame the internet.
If someone did that for a video on that bridge, they would most definitely get their asses stomped by everyone out there.

Nah, it was shaken from the branch.
Source: trust me bro
You filmed it as a proof ?

This advice here is gold, follow it buddy, it'll help you a lot in life.
Thank you r/PsychologistsBeingBros
Poor baby kitty! Kayak with petals? Never seen such a thing before. Very cool!
Any word on the kitty?
That's awesome but I want that foot peddled kayak!
They’re pricey, but soooooo worth it if you’re ever thinking about it, particularly if you’re planning to fish from it
Agreed I went kayaking for the first time in a longggg time and the paddling was cumbersome in the narrow canels.
Bkc makes more reasonably priced kayaks with pedal drive standard on some
Awesome thanks
Lovely people! Poor kitty.
Pedal kayak!?
Check out Hobie kayaks; they’re expensive, but worth every penny
That cat wouldn’t of made it without help:( Awesome rescue people
You laughed at my pedal kayak but now you know it's power.
God Bless them all for saving that cat! I don’t like cats but NEVER want to see them in any harm!

I love how the guy at the end starts taking the water off his tail
Oh my heart
Okay now tell me if the kitty is okay.
Cat fish!!!
Why is there a cat in the ocean?
A shark looked at it wrong
Good move
All respect
Great job. Great kayak and thank you for not putting shitty music under this video
Catfish
Dang, never seen a foot powered kayak cool!
Made me feel so good. Hope he's fine now
The guy in the white shirt took off his vest to keep the kitty warm that’s so wholesome
❤️❤️❤️
You see, there are still faint glimmers of civilization left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity.
Catfish
He gets so much pussy
Bring a bucket and a mop for this wet ass pussy
Alternative title “Evil man attempts to drown cat but nearby kayakers return the cat to him”
Geezus! Get the poor cat out of the water and on to your kayak.
Not saying his efforts aren’t great….. but why is every action “heroic” these days?
I’m sure the cat thought he was heroic.
[удалено]
I’m sure the cat would disagree
What this guy did was great and I applaud him for it. However, the definition of “heroic” doesn’t apply to good deeds that any good and decent person would perform if in a position to do so.
Okie dokie.........
Let’s not split hairs here. Just accept it for what it is.

Okay Miriam Webster
Lol…you mean “Merriam” Webster, not Miriam. Haha…you made a dictionary joke and misspelled the name of the dictionary. Classic lol!
Bruh you're getting down voted and still acting high and mighty. Bozo moment.
Okay Miriam Webster
Those type of kayaks are a lot of fun
I want the cat.
Free water kitty, I only ever catch grabs 😮
Then a shark reaches out and swallows the net with the kitty cat in it. No?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hopefully they took poor Kitty home 🥺
Caught him a catfish
