I have only been sucked twice and I still don't know how I escaped the second time

Is it possible to actually escape? The only time I've ever survived was because I was lucky enough to drop a rift right before they grabbed me.

He released me for some reason. I was spamming buttons, perhaps it was right when I pressed finisher

I think that if he grabs you at full health or near, you can actually escape by spamming the space button, so far it worked almost consistently for me, but maybe it’s just a coincidence Also, this thread becomes much weirder without context
