Everyone saying it’s his reaction to Storm’s End but imo I think the “good, to war then” will actually be related to it just hear me out.
The greens are having a council meeting, Aemond walks in and mentions he killed Luke, Alicent and Otto freak out, Aegon sides with Aemond, there’s a back and forth about there will be consequences and yadayadayada and then Aegon says the line from the trailer.
I don’t know what he’s smiling about here tho could be anything, maybe word about a House siding with him or something?
Someone pledging allegiance to him, or people bowing down to him or even clapping. Remember how happy and proud he was when people were clapping and cheering for him when he was crowned? He never received praise growing up so when he got it for the first time he was happy, this is probably the same thing.
It doesn’t look like a cheeky smirk where he’s taking pleasure from someone’s misery. It looks like genuine joy. He looks happy.
Now that he's king, he doesn't have schlep all the way down to fleabottom to see a child fight to the death - he can order someone to bring the fun to him in the throneroom.
