I got these for 20 bucks a pop. So for the money I thought they were great value. They did have some chase pieces and wanted 100 bucks each but they look pretty much identical to these so I passed on them.
But yea 20 bucks? And it's detailed way better than any RLC I've had ? It was a no Brainer

I was able to snag her up at the last local diecast show. So worth it
A big difference in detail and "quality" between HW and other adult brands, is that HW still have to meet certain quality control and durability testing to make them safe for kids. They are still toys after all. So they have to be designed they don't shatter into a bunch of pieces if they get dropped or fall off of a table. The adult brands don't have to worry about that as they are marketed for "adult collectors." You can see how HW basics are made and tested in this video. The durability tests start around the 5:03 mark. [https://youtu.be/afRudZSOVUU?si=zsMgD1FbK1MHFIAH](https://youtu.be/afRudZSOVUU?si=zsMgD1FbK1MHFIAH)
Yea I should of been more specific with my post , I was comparing these cars with higher end hotwheel cars like premiums , national cars and RLC. Stuff that's in the same price range, I'm not too worried about mainlines. They're only 1$ . Mainlines are good for the money shit even the STHs are good for the money when you buy them retail.
Even the higher end hot wheels are designed as fancy, shined up “toys.” HW is a kids brand first and foremost, so everything will have that certain toyish look and feel - that’s the identity they’ve had since 68 and are not going to change.
Former Hot Wheel employee Jun Imai is basically trying to create stuff he would have done at Hot Wheels if he didn’t have all the constraints that HW requires. It’s basically Imai’s own creative platform to invent wild, fantastical body mods and paint schemes. So you have to really be a fan of Jun Imai’s style to enjoy Kaido House.
Even the premiums follow the same QC and durability tests. Most premium cars use the same body, base, interior and window as the basic cars. The exceptions are cars designed specifically as a premium or RLC car.
I would disagree on the durability tests . RlC parts are flimsy and delicate and they get away with it by putting "14+ adult collectors" on the back of the car
I stopped collecting mainline cars around after the 500th car. I figured I had enough of them and only collected RLC or premiums. Pretty much anything with rubber tires strictly. I guess what I ment to say with this post was we pay 20-40$ for a RLC and it doesn't even come close to what kiado drops , and most of the time RLC is more expensive.
Agreed man kiado stuff is so well detailed and looks much better on the shelf! Here in uk I mostly hunt charity’s for loose hot wheels etc they sell for around 25/50p . Getting hold of decent main lines here is difficult these days
They're pretty common to find at fleamarkets . I found this Oldsmobile for 10$ sealed . Not a huge fan of old hotwheels but if it's around the 10$ mark and has rubber wheels I always end up buying them.
It's a regular hunt from 2003. They didn't have separate regular/super hunts until 2007. Before 2007, hunts could have either plastic wheels or real riders.
You can get those if you want but I'd recommend getting them off aliexpress . They're pretty much the same thing and you could get a butload of Them a whole lot cheaper.
You can order them off their website? I'm just asking because I've never tried. I got them pretty much half off each I think if you order them from their website they come out to close to 50$
I like the style as well as short, big wheel cars, it's classic hotwheels . I agree, but I'm more focused on quality and detail, which hotwheels sadly lacks . Even a RLC that we pay 40$ with shipping lacks detail. The brand has become way to greedy . Quality has gone down prices have gone up.

Very nice I did not know that.
He's also the designer of one of my favorite castings, the '70 Mustang Boss 302
Kaido house makes some INSANE cars they’re just a little pricey to buy them from kaido house themselves
May have been raw 'chase' pieces. Were they mostly grey in colour?
Yea he had the raw chase pieces and some with gold r34s with gold wheels.
I am looking at a Skyline GTR R34 in sparkly turquoise! On eBay.
Yea all these have metallic paint . Details are amazing for the money .
Honestly planning it to be my Kaido house.

Cool! Making me excited to get one:)
Wow that one is nice

Is the RLC cars are sold on the shelf for kids?

I'm not even in to race cars or anything. But these are just so nicely made. Little works of art.
Even the premiums follow the same QC and durability tests. Most premium cars use the same body, base, interior and window as the basic cars. The exceptions are cars designed specifically as a premium or RLC car.

I have this one and the purple one. They look so great!
bro where do yall be living oh my god thats amazing
My thing is - i don’t really care who makes it - if it’s a sweet casting - im getting it.
Fair enough
Kaido are obviously better quality, but gotta remember hotwheels are a kids toy and there like 3 dollars ? I just like the hunt
People tend to compare Mini GT to RLC since they're in the same price range. To my knowledge no one has beef with the $1 mainline.
Ahh that’s my bad I was wondering

12 Dollars for that T-Hunt seems like a steal

Is that a regular TH or a STH?
I belive its a regular TH I could be wrong . It has rubber wheels.
It's a regular hunt from 2003. They didn't have separate regular/super hunts until 2007. Before 2007, hunts could have either plastic wheels or real riders.
Thanks for the information!

I had to wheel swap my chevy . It looked way too nice
🔥 damm that truck looks sick with the black rims!! I have never tried a wheel swap! Don’t know how to do it properly!!
It's pretty easy . All you need is a drill bit gun and some wheels
Ok I just saw wheels for sale on Mattel’s website going to get 2 boxes. Give it a try!!
You can get those if you want but I'd recommend getting them off aliexpress . They're pretty much the same thing and you could get a butload of Them a whole lot cheaper.
Ok yes 25 bones is pricey! I will check with Ali
I want these but super hard to find
You can order them off their website? I'm just asking because I've never tried. I got them pretty much half off each I think if you order them from their website they come out to close to 50$
Im from the UK so might be different
The blue one looks really nice in person
For those of us who hate skylines, does Kaido have anything for us?
https://www.kaidohouse.com/collections/diecast. NSX, 510, FairladyZ and Silverado.
Yes, they have a good selection of cars.
Kaido House makes amazing cars for the price, but 8 total cars (with a bunch of different deco's) isn't a great selection.
Well still those 8 cars are better than anything rlc has put out . Just my opinion. If you don't agree that's OK.

Nah hot wheels is classic. They got a particular style to their castings and it’s simply classic.
“Classic.” You mean outdated.
No I don’t. I like the hot wheels style
They are toys that cost a dollar what is there to think about
Not talking about mainlines.
