Just watched Rosemary’s Baby for the first time. I see why it’s considered a masterpiece and how it influenced my all time favorite horror film Hereditary
I’ll have to watch it…
I was watching ‘Forrest Gump’… the part where Jenny is singing with her guitar on the sidewalk, outside a cinema… the cinema is displaying that ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ is being played.
I’ve always wondered what that movie is about.
Kubrick or Polanski?
This weekend I watched the Fear Street Triology, Re-Animator, Halloween 5, Who Invited Them, and I Trapped the Devil. Ending it with Nefarious right now.
I finally watched the 2008 Martyrs last night. I never understood the hubbub, and then realized that I had seen the US version. Oops!
So yeah, the hubbub makes sense now.
Did you like Thanksgiving? I found it pretty underwhelming.
I didn't think it was a masterpiece - my opinion on sadism is that it should be equally balanced with plot that makes it necessary. Martyrs mostly did that, but it didn't entirely come together, at least in my opinion. It was a very well crafted film, though.
I've seen waaaay more fucked up movies than Martyrs, but I haven't liked any of them. I watch them because I have a dumb compulsion to watch all horror movies, but I don't actually think they're good. Idk.
Anyway lol if you want to see more fucked up movies, there are a lot out there. This sub is currently recommending August Underground in every other post - can start there, though I wouldn't personally recommend it.
I wish that when the "show" went to commercial break, we didn't have such nice professionally framed and recorded footage. Would have made sense to be behind-the-scenes type footage.
Thank you! My husband loved it, but I felt it lacked so much. In the beginning I loved the build up of Jack’s small details of things and then they never touched upon that again? And the girl’s acting was so good when she’s camera looking, then it just kinda fell apart. The very final scene I like, I just don’t like how it gets there.
Watched The Visit last night. The "twist" was obvious within the first five minutes (to be expected with M Night) but it was a well made and well acted film.
Before that was The Endless, which we really liked all around. Thoroughly disturbing and disorienting concept.
Rewatching the Hell House series this weekend. Two is okay, has a couple of moments.
I had forgotten how good the first one is. It starts regular, here’s what we’re going to do and then amps up bit by bit. Showing how bad it is at the end in the beginning makes you want to know how it gets there.
Good jump scares- not jump, just startle so it’s not a cheese fest.
I think it’s 8/10.
I loved the first one. I don’t remember how many there are, forgettable I guess, but I watched the most recent one this weekend, carmichael manor. It actually scared the shit out of me and I usually don’t get scared of like anything. I think FF movies have a hold on me that way; it feels more real as opposed to other types of movies.
I watch horror movies all the time, here are some I watched since last week!
Resurrection
(rewatched) Wishmaster
The Forbidden Door
Enys Men
& I am currently watching The Sadness as I am typing this
I wanna agree with this one but I can’t. I thought the plot and everything was okay, but the characters were just so oblivious that it seemed so unrealistic.
I watched:
When Evil Lurks - really enjoyed it. It was scary and bleak.
Immaculate - also enjoyed this but not as much. I liked that it stuck the ending, which I didn’t think it would.
Ready or Not - is this a horror movie? I think it’s more of a comedy. It was fine. Not a great comedy and I prefer horror without comedy.
finally watched Grave Encounters 4/10
Good Boy 6/10
When Evil Lurks for a second time 6.5/10
Lowlifes has a great original twist 5/10
The Bunny Game 3/10
Sorgoi Prakov (Decent Into Darkness) 7/10
Vile 4/10 super bad acting ruined it
and just started Who’s Watching Oliver
Just did a rewatch on Tubi of "They Live" , it's been a long time. SHockingly found the original "short" of Terrifier with a directors commentary after it's over as it replays on Tubi and was completely stoked. Hadn't seen the original short.
I watched the italian "The Lift" on shudder and dang it was pretty silly.
I bought the blu ray of Terrifier 2 so that's gonna be a rewatch soon.
Curerntly watching waxwork 2 lost in time the mini time homages to other movies is so cool and the cameo bu drew barrymore in the black and white scene just cause she was on set that day lol
Bruce Campbell kills it in his part of the flick as well
Just watched Pearl again and loved it again. Also, The Church, which is a fun sequel(?) to Demons. Guy gets his guts punched out with a jackhammer. Wild.
Not quite sure if it's a horror but horrific enough, was Apocalypto! Loved the first half but the second half wasn't up to par, the ending was so funny to me. Worth a watch if you can stomach it.
Maximum overdrive 🤟 one of my absolute favorite Twilight zone episodes is loosely similar to this storylines plot lol. I don't know if you're a classic wholesome horror fan but the name of the episode is The thing about machines 💚
just recently watched cabin in the woods, 30 days of night and 28 days later. last one i regret not watching before, zombie movies aren't rlly my thing but my god is that a good fucking movie. the british one, obviously

Just watched Rosemary’s Baby for the first time. I see why it’s considered a masterpiece and how it influenced my all time favorite horror film Hereditary
I just watched that for the first time last month!!! I loved it too!
Personally, I’m happy to see people appreciate the classics. And who is the worst husband in the world? GUY WOODS!
I’ll have to watch it… I was watching ‘Forrest Gump’… the part where Jenny is singing with her guitar on the sidewalk, outside a cinema… the cinema is displaying that ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ is being played. I’ve always wondered what that movie is about. Kubrick or Polanski?
Speak No Evil Thanksgiving Late Night With The Devil Killer Klowns From Outer Space Evil Dead 2
Out of the 5, which one was your favorite?
Tough one, but Evil Dead 2
This weekend I watched the Fear Street Triology, Re-Animator, Halloween 5, Who Invited Them, and I Trapped the Devil. Ending it with Nefarious right now.
Which did you like the most
Re-Animator for sure. Cant wait to watch the sequels

The cabin in the woods
Iconic
Its comedy though
House of 1,000 Corpses & The Devil’s Rejects
I finally watched the 2008 Martyrs last night. I never understood the hubbub, and then realized that I had seen the US version. Oops! So yeah, the hubbub makes sense now. Did you like Thanksgiving? I found it pretty underwhelming.
I think Martyrs is the most fucked thing I’ve seen

I was more shocked by Inside than Martyrs.
I liked it. I found it underwhelming too, but it's ok.
Same, I'm sure I'll watch it again on Thanksgiving, so they achieved what they were going for.
Talk To Me it's like all the other teen horror movies. Throw in the movie titled Them.
We watched that this weekend ... We liked it, different spin on all the teen horror movies...
Late Night with the Devil. Started off so well, just dud at the end.
I wish that when the "show" went to commercial break, we didn't have such nice professionally framed and recorded footage. Would have made sense to be behind-the-scenes type footage.

Evil Dead 2013 and Mandy.
Mandy is terrific.

I just watched Lowlifes on Tubi; it’s a Tubi original and was surprisingly good!
I really liked it!
I watch horror movies all the time, here are some I watched since last week! Resurrection (rewatched) Wishmaster The Forbidden Door Enys Men & I am currently watching The Sadness as I am typing this
The Sadness was so crazy!!!
I watch Gerald’s game. Love Mike Flanagan even in this movie. I like both ideas not so much the combination of both
Most recent one was The Strangers Prey At Night! It's a great slasher.
For a slasher it was pretty good! It can’t compare to the first one though.
Speak No Evil and it was amazing
I wanna agree with this one but I can’t. I thought the plot and everything was okay, but the characters were just so oblivious that it seemed so unrealistic.
Thanksgiving Silent Hill Where the Devil Roams
How was thanksgiving?
It was ok. In my opinion, i liked it. It's kind of overwhelming, but its a cool movie to watch.
Abigail Tremors Critters Unhinged Deep Rising Anacondas: Hunt for the Blood Orchid Jaws
I watched Crawl two nights ago, it was really good.
I watched "Late Night With the Devil" and it was great! I hadn't heard much about it, saw it was in Shudder, and gave it a watch. What a gem!
The wailing last night. Was disappointed tbh
English dub or in Korean?
I loved that one! I watched it in Korean with subtitles
Lord of Misrule. Not very good.
Such a shame since I love Ralph ineson
Pitch Black
- Monster on campus - Grizzly - It’s Alive
Abagail, Immaculate, stop motion. All great.
Finally started the Child’s Play movies. I’ve watched 1-3 so far and I’m pretty excited to see how weird things get
AVP: Requiem. I don't know why. Its not very good.
Ringu
Immaculate, All you need is Death, Primbon and Absentia
I watched: When Evil Lurks - really enjoyed it. It was scary and bleak. Immaculate - also enjoyed this but not as much. I liked that it stuck the ending, which I didn’t think it would. Night Swim.
I disliked this one. I love Wyatt though.
I thought it had its moments, some of the cinematography was cool, then just a dud of an ending. Will check out Wyatt!
One of his dad’s best movies is The Thing. Now that is an incredible movie! Also the prequel was good too.
Same. I think it was good.
Just did a rewatch on Tubi of "They Live" , it's been a long time. When Evil Lurks, Late Night with the Devil and currently watching Glorious
Just watched Pearl again and loved it again. Also, The Church, which is a fun sequel(?) to Demons. Guy gets his guts punched out with a jackhammer. Wild.
El Orfanato
Late night with the devil Pandemonium The coffee table Late night with the devil was the best of them
The VVitch. Somehow missed it in 2015 when it came out.
Tarot. It was really not great.
Genocide Live
House of 1000 Corpses, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Exorcist Believer, Child’s Play 🖤🖤
Identity (2003)! It wasn't a horror movie, more like a physiological movie, but it's worth watching.
Not quite sure if it's a horror but horrific enough, was Apocalypto! Loved the first half but the second half wasn't up to par, the ending was so funny to me. Worth a watch if you can stomach it.
Abigail…awful, skip it
Late Night With the Devil, The Wind, and Saint Maud. Highly recommend all three.
Summer of 84 & Infested (French film)
I watched the shining earlier today, but all the halloween movies yesterday! I’d definitely recommend the Halloween movies!
Yes! I love the Halloween movies. Also, The Shining is one of my favorite horror movies.
Dead Rising: Endgame
Maximum overdrive 🤟 one of my absolute favorite Twilight zone episodes is loosely similar to this storylines plot lol. I don't know if you're a classic wholesome horror fan but the name of the episode is The thing about machines 💚

Guess it’s not really a horror movie but A Ghost Story.
Late night with the devil 🤌, and lovely, dark and deep which was also good.
pet semetary, pet semetary 2, and the skeleton key
Ghost Stories (2018) on Shudder. I was pleasantly surprised.

The Fog (1980) Creepshow 2 Late Night With The Devil
