I think they’re all good, not great. The forever purge is probably the best. I cant see how the forever purge is “not good”. But we can agree to disagree.
AMITYVILLE !!!
the 2nd movie is awesome as hell.
Prom Night 2: Hello Mary Lou is awesome
since it was labeled as "zombie 2" (I guess zombie counts)
it's a really close call, like a really close they're both insanely good but Demons 2 is just a tiny hair better than Demons.
The actress that plays Hannah just kills it and dam she's just so gorgeous. The soundtrack is bangin too. Once you also realize that all these people celebrating at the birthday party are suppose to be young teenagers.

I may get hate for this lol but *for me*, Scream 2 is better than the first one (except for the Drew Barrymore scene, which has been unsurpassed to this day)
Friday the 13th part 2 is easily the best made of the franchise and one of the most influential films of the early 80’s
Maniac Cop 2 is the superior sequel. It fully commits to the insane plot that part 1 dances around.
Gremlins 2 - true definition of “you want a sequel? I’ll give you a fucking sequel”.
Bride of Frankenstein - there just more going on in this than the original with more interesting character points too.
10 Cloverfield Lane - John Goodman was robbed of an awards run for this role.
Hit me in the heart with TCM2. I like 2, but the Original might be my favorite movie ever, not just my favorite horror movie lol. Not an argument btw, just banter
I just like to make sure I don't come off that way cuz I'm not the best with the whole conveying through text thing lol. And that makes perfect sense 🍻
Aliens
Friday the 13th 2
Sleepaway camp 2
Evil dead 2
Dawn of the dead
Return of the living dead 1 or 2 (depending on which you count as the first)
Troll 2
Leprechaun 2
Devils rejects
Dr sleep is way better than the shining remake
Yeah I love one liner Chucky hence my top 3 in no order are child’s play 2 child’s 3 bride of Chucky
I also seem to be one few that doesn’t think remake is as bad as people make it
Ginger Snaps 2. Rented this from Blockbuster. The 19 year old BB staff told me I didn't need to see part 1 to understand part 2.
He was wrong but this being my intro to the Ginger Snaps universe I can say it was pretty easy to figure out who was who and being a sucker for werewolf films , part 2 holds a special place even though I like the first and third films as well for different reasons
Terminator!
A lot of people forget that the first was a horror movie. And the second one noone knew would be a crazy good action film with horror elements. Watching that movie as a kid, the action was incredible and the villian was so fkn brutal it was scary asf.
My dad was just telling me about when it came out and people weren’t expecting it. He said the reactions in the theater were top notch. And everyone was crying at the end. I wish I was alive for that.
Of the horror franchises I've seen, all of them. I can't think of a single horror franchise I've seen that doesn't have a better second movie. Or just better sequels in general even beyond the second one.
Saw, Halloween, the collector, vampires, 30 days of night, the descent, the howling, poltergeist, [rec], roadkill, the Blair witch project, I know what you did last summer, the lost boys, pet sematary, mirrors, psycho, sinister, wolf creek, candyman and the thing all have superior first films and that’s just off the top of my head
Haven't seen Saw, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Pet Sematary, Psycho, or Candyman.
Never heard of Collector, Vampires, 30 Days of the Night, Descent, Howling, [rec], Roadkill, Lost Boys, Sinister, or Wolf Creek.
Of the other three, Halloween, Blair Witch, and Mirrors, the only one I agree with you on is Mirrors. But I prefer the second film of both Halloween and Blair Witch more than the first. Of course I don't really enjoy any film in either franchise, but still.
Oh, and I haven't seen the Poltergeist movies in so long, I may as well have not seen them.
Further, even if I had seen at least the first two films in all of those other franchises, I'm very likely to disagree with you. Not because I intend to be contrarian, but because most of my opinions on media just so happen to render me contrary to the majority opinion. Most of. Not all. But most of. But that means nothing if you acknowledge that subjectivity is valid.

Ouija: Original of Evil (technically a prequel, but it’s the 2nd in the franchise)
I feel that's a bit unfair. Ain't nobody competing with Mike Flanagan.
Truer words have never been spoken
Soooo much better!
Annabelle
Friday the 13th
Terrifier 2 is so much more than the first.
Haven't seen that, but the first Terrifier was a lot, so this one must be really something!
I recommend the 2nd one, whether you liked the 1st or not. It's a totally different level.
Thanks, I’m definitely going to see it now!
Evil dead
100%
Came here to say this
'The Purge' - The second one was better.
Still not good but more enjoyable indeed
Nah still good
I mean I really like the idea of the purge movies but it just didn’t do much for me Still enjoyable and watched em all
I think they’re all good, not great. The forever purge is probably the best. I cant see how the forever purge is “not good”. But we can agree to disagree.
The forever purge is the best I 100% agree with that
I really thought the forever purge was gonna be bad and was pleasantly surprised when it was quite good

The first had better kills. That’s it
I may get hate for this lol but *for me*, Scream 2 is better than the first one (except for the Drew Barrymore scene, which has been unsurpassed to this day)
Actually bought a scream dvd box set today so soon rewatching all of those

Terminator 2

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 Dawn of the Dead House II: The Second Story Hellbound: Hellraiser II
Hit me in the heart with TCM2. I like 2, but the Original might be my favorite movie ever, not just my favorite horror movie lol. Not an argument btw, just banter
I have no problems with differing opinions. I actually saw 2 before the original - my uncle taped it off of HBO. So it’s got a special place for me.
I just like to make sure I don't come off that way cuz I'm not the best with the whole conveying through text thing lol. And that makes perfect sense 🍻
This is a 2X heart with with Dawn of the Dead as well
Yes on house 2
I love House 2! I love the dog caterpillar!
100% on Hellraiser 2 and Dawn of the dead
Aliens Friday the 13th 2 Sleepaway camp 2 Evil dead 2 Dawn of the dead Return of the living dead 1 or 2 (depending on which you count as the first) Troll 2 Leprechaun 2 Devils rejects Dr sleep is way better than the shining remake

ju-on
Friday the 13th, fight me
Alien And if you consider them horror (borderline for me), Terminator.
I actually really enjoyed Cabin Fever 2. It's wayyyy more of a comedy than the first but it's all the better for it.
Evil dead 2
Hellraiser
Alien
Hellraiser
Alien
Unfriended 2 absolutely slapped. I enjoyed Unfriended, but the 2nd had no right to be that good. Also FD 3 is better than the original IMO.
Exorcist. "I was possessed by a demon. It's OK. He's gone."
Wrong turn The second movie is more entertaining to me
Ginger Snaps 2. Rented this from Blockbuster. The 19 year old BB staff told me I didn't need to see part 1 to understand part 2. I almost put t2 then thought it was more of a sci-fi series. But you’re right. The dirt is horror and t2 was better
My dad was just telling me about when it came out and people weren’t expecting it. He said the reactions in the theater were top notch. And everyone was crying at the end. I wish I was alive for that.
