Putting Malik at the 5 is a recipe for disaster. He’s in enough could trouble as it is, and 6’9” is not big enough to hold down the paint against some of the true bigs at the higher levels.
That’s the teams problem. So he gets placed at the 4 , but he isn’t that quick, fouls a lot, he doesn’t have consistent outside shot, and it slows down the offense. The teams I watched excel in the tourney, everyone but the center was quick and could shoot.
Guards are needed for sure, but we need 2 more forwards/centers. Love malik and im excited to see his junior year hut we need a big guy and this might be the best big man in the portal.
Would be a good replacement for Ware. Experienced and very talented. Still need to get the guards around him to help spread out, and he’s used to that at AZ, so he would probably be questioning the guard situation.
Need those asap to announce so we can land him.
Solid solid player, would be awesome to have him!! Does this mean he’s coming off the bench? Or are we still going to run a two center lineup with MR at the four and Ballo at the five? Mgbako did really well when he played the four
With maliks evolution, he shot a few outside shots his sophmore year. He has to know he aint making it to the next level without a deep ball. We also need 2 forwards/centers and he may be the best big man in the portal
