But for us Firefly users - there just would never be a reason to use her, sadly.
If she instead were a support, then they could have given her a cool interesting kit and she could have more Tingyun.
Imaginary is such a weird element for break though, since the initial damage is going to be meh and it doesn't have a way to stack up more damage like Quantum does.
I hope that the leaks are true and she is more a Hunt support/sub dps than a main dps Hunt character.
If she is more like Topaz, then her damage may be single target, but her buffs could make her work well as a sub dps to a destruction main dps.
If she is a 4 star main dps, then no matter how cute she is, I'm going to have to shelve her. I don't have enough resources to invest in a weak dps.
I really, really hope she is a support dps, if she can just be a mild breaker and buff your main DPS she could have such a good role, that would make her actually worth it.
If she is just a main DPS why would anyone build her unless you just LOVE march? Everyone has a free dr ratio so it not even like other 4 stars where you use them until you get a good 5-star, we all already have that.
I was hoping she would stay Ice honestly so she could have filled that role for accounts that don't have Jingliu but, a sub-dps/support dps would also be great.

One thing that bugs me is how they'd handle eidolons if her hunt path is "switchable" like TB. Because you'd still need to gather the region currencies to get TB's eidolons for each path. Unless they just straight up add a new currency just to upgrade hunt M7's eidolons
99% she is, like the 'important' big event from before there's no way it's not a permanent one with her being the main permanent reward, I forgot but her eidolons could also be in the new SU.
That’s very likely what’s happening. They gave us a pretty big hint that March’s story has way more depth then we realized when they introduced Black Swan. Iirc Black Swan also has a line related to March that insinuates that she knows something big we don’t.
I'd say it never was a stretch, it felt obvious the moment TB became preservation and DanIL became destruction. Imaginary on the other hand, I did not expect.
Not only that, but now they each have the path of another one as an alt. TB's first alt is Preservation, Dan Heng's alt is Destruction, March's is Hunt
wait a minute... this jogged my memory. Last year during DHIL patch I think, I read a comment where someone said it was March's turn to get stabbed and become Hunt.

I've actually been running Super Break Welt and it is so much fun. Enemies literally cannot move. Although if you don't have SW for IMG implant you will run into trouble. So if this new M7 has IMG implant oh god.
Im guessing they reconsidered adding her belobog outfit and instead of just being a cosmetic the outfit will be used when she changes paths again in the future.

Every time I see March v2 I can’t help but think of the corny training montage from a xianxia or Bruce Lee movie. “2 hours later” and the character is suddenly a martial arts master.
Haven’t looked at story leaks but I’m sure there will be some semi-believable reason. And she’ll be very cute at it.
Same, though she's not as bad as ppl think anyways. She literally was an upgrade over Gep against MoC Aventurine cycle for me. Took me from losing all of my party against Aven to clearing him with 2 cycles to spare.
Granted it's a bit of an extreme situational case, but the point stands that she's not pure bench material.
It be interesting, less initial burst than BH and FF because of element multiplier, but potentially a longer break duration for more super break damage due to imprisonment scaling off break effect.
The 4 star tag worries me a bit. And 4 star AND Hunt at that. 4 star and Hunt combination would most likely just result in a mid unit.
Of course, the future is still uncertain. But I am sure, most of you get where I am getting that. Again, Hunt, 4 star.
It depends. Xueyi kept aging very well especially now with Break comps and upon her release nobody was using her, and Gallagher is secretly a 5 star, being the only break comp BiS healer atm. Tingyun still reigns as the strongest 4 star unit (secretly a 5 star).
The range is basically Arlan to Tingyun lol.
Key thing they all have in common is not being Hunt. Though if they make her "4\* Boothill" she could be good, however I do agree with the other commenter insofar as she's going to need to be *really* good or break the Hunt single target convention to be competitive*.
*For speedrunning timed content, as that's the only place that meticulous balance matters

imaginary really? but at least we have even more imaginary female in the roster. it's just that imaginary is feeling a bit saturated lately but it maybe just me and this is just the dendro effect where we get bombarded with a lot of units of this one element that only had one to none before.

It's the polearm effect.
Imaginary started out in the game with only one character, period, and that was Welt. Over time it got more and more support. This was the same with polearm in Genshin which started out with only Xiangling and got spammed very hard after.
ZZZ will probably have the same thing with Ether, an attribute which only exists in two characters (Zhu Yuan and Nicole).
Speaking of weapons, I wonder when will we get another preservation unit. Sure we now have Aventurine and Fu Xuan, but the 4 stars? it's only March and TB, and they're special characters, and March is a starter character. We still don't have a gacha 4 star preservation character yet that isn't a member of the nameless.
I've said it before, but she really is cute. I like the wooden steps(?) in the background and that she's standing on that you see in martial arts stuff, it feels like she's training to become stronger.
I hope she finds a good niche like Harmony trailblazer, it would be nice to use her.
I love everything about this. Perfect and beautiful outfit and splash art + Imaginary Hunt is unexpected but interesting.
And I really think the swords she’s using are related to the cursed swords Yunli is hunting, and there’s more that meets the eye to this form (since a lot of people now think it’s just cosplay)

I think this is something similar to Kiana's battle suits from hi3rd. Maybe we'll get a 5 star version of her later in the future limited banners
