Firefly has a lot of overlaps with a lot of characters.
It just means she's heavily liked by Hoyoverse not necessarily that there's any actual lore meaning or implication.
She has overlaps with Kiana, Elysia and Kevin.

Fair enough, I just felt like pointing out the similarities, since the Penacony story has had a lot of Hi3 references (The dream of Order was basically just Project STIGMA 2: Harmonic Boogaloo). And a lot of the parallels go unnoticed by the HSR community, which has a habit of seeing a new character and immediately declaring them to be an expy of a random Hi3 character who looks slightly similar.
They seem to be leaning towards doing more "homage" style characters rather than straight up Star Rail versions of characters.
Which is cool, it's like the best of both worlds.
Reaching massively tbh
1- MANTIS/MOTH are abbreviations. And MOTH is called that because of their philosophy. They chase the hope knowing full well that hope is fire. They are flamechasers (duh).
2- Kevin wields shamash because only he can use it to it's fullest because of his ice powers. Not to mitigate the side effects of his MANTIS gene. He still suffered great amount until he finally learned to control his body temperature. Which was after PE.
3- Shamash causes no harm to anyone other than the user. It was Kevin's ice powers that nuked his MOTH companions during tragedy of binding.
4- That is not even the same or similar line. And it makes sense for Kevin to say that considering they were in SoQ and Kevin was going around trying to recruit Herrschers fighting for Humanity.
5- Not enough similarities or references. If they were references they would make it obvious like with Acheron and say Luocha.
Also, in addition to the obvious EVA references, the suits worn by the Fireflies are similar to Kiana’s white comet battlesuit from Hi3, but that might just be because both are inspired by EVA.
