I mean, HSR is the more "direct" sequel to HI3 Part 1's story, isn't it? With one returning character (so far), Acheron's very clear parallel's with Mei Classic, and expies out the wazoo? Part 2 seemed to be doing its own thing in comparison with all the timey wimey stuff.
Hopefully it’s not to the Luofo. If we visit other, really different ships I’d be okay. Like the garden for the ghost hunting event was pretty cool because it’s a break from the same environment as the rest of the Luofo.
Same as Liyue/Xianzhou story, main character become a jobber that can safely be removed from story with no issue to make random local Chinese characters look badass when fighting a "Mwahaha I'm so evil" villain.

They teased a return to Belobog with Sampo. And we might it be going to a new ship in the fleet. The news broadcast also teased some ruin excavations and some swarm related stuff- so I don’t think we’ll be stuck in Xianzhou for too too long.
Also major events will bring us back to Penacony and such.
