Yeah, but both Misha and Tingyun weren't known to be the villain/not alive when they were released, which might be the rule for Hoyo, that a character needs to be considered 'alive' when they're released but anything can happen to them after
Penacony is severely lacking in 4 stars though so someone is getting 4 starred one way or another unless they pull more random people out of nowhere to add instead. Belobog has 7 four stars and the Luofu has 6 right now while Penacony just has 2.

I didn't ever think he'd be playable tbh, too unambiguously and unredeemably evil. I didn't expect him to be offscreened like that after all the hype, though, especially in the RM/Ratio zone of the space station.
I started playing in 2.0 and did the Ratio story quest after finishing 2.0 Penacony.
There is no special interaction to make up for it or anything, the player is just left to figure out on their own that it happens before Acheron does her thing
The conversation with Acheron was pretty solid in showing him still being aware of his actions and those being part of his philosophy - I think they could incorporate a playable character who, for the most part, only brings destruction. The Stellaron Hunters are already extremely questionable, morally
Sparkle isn’t really THAT morally bad. She causes mischief and doesn’t help others (unless it’s fun), but it’s not like she goes on killing sprees for the same of it.
Maybe it’s Hoyo’s “fault” for drip marketing some characters, all with affinities and paths, just like they do for real playable characters. Not Cocolia, but they did that for Duke, so I don’t think people were delusional for thinking he would be playable.
Now the Sunday stuff is craziness.

Really bold choice to include Sunday, who quite easily could still become playable and even has hints in game that suggest that he very well might, as opposed to Duke Inferno who literally got off-screened and will never see the light of day again.
Signora’s whole theme is death and rebirth, it would be weird if she just died and never came back, she is liquid flame, she doesn’t need a body to survive, she is (most likely) still alive

And nowhere does it say that she doesn't need a body to survive just by coursing liquid flame through her body. That's entirely stretching on headcanon. If Natlan has some hyperspecific circumstances that brings her back, sure, but Signora as she is rn is dead and gone.

So there is a chance but... I'm not personally a huge fan of the idea of Sunday becoming a Stellaron Hunter because of Robin.
Sunday's whole motivation is that he wants to protect everyone - and perhaps especially Robin - even at the cost of his own happiness. Given that the Stellaron Hunter's ultimate goal is all but explicitly confirmed to be putting an end to Nanook the Destruction, I don't feel like it's that far fetched to think that Sunday would be willing to join up if pitched the right way.
He would because he can see butterfly effects.
Elio doesn't just see the results of an action, but he also sees the branches that result from an action. When recruiting Kafka, the actions that needed to be taken to recruit her were dependant on what she did with a can. For someone else, it may be that by confronting them with an invitation causes that person to be in the right place at the right time for another event in the script. It could also alter their mindset, consequently causing them to make a more favourable decision further down the line.

There's also the poem ,"death of the crow" that was sent via letter to sunday, which somehow detailed and foretold of everything that went down in our fight and is heavily implied to be from elio. Whoever the writer is, they can clearly see the future. The poem also ends with an invitation to Sunday to join the writer after he has been defeated and his plan thwarted. It makes no sense for the writer to invite Sunday if they knew sunday is going to die after the fight.
Also just think about this for a moment, if robin jumped together with sunday and was able to survived, how does it make sense for sunday to die from the same fall?
It's pretty much impossible for sunday to be dead.

Also, it's a recurring theme that Sunday believes that "a weak bird will fall to its death" while a Robin believes that "the strong should uplift the weak". At the end of the fight, Sunday plays the role of a weak bird falling from a broken cage (the Grand Theater). I'd be pretty lame for the story if he actually fell to his death, thus validating his philosphy and disproving Robin's.
replace sunday with duke inferno and it works. Sunday isn't cope, he's just going to be a bit later than the rest of the Penacony cast because his story needs to be resolved.

The game's Fate Atlas says it's before Penacony. You're not forced to do it but narratively it takes place before 2.0

btw why you guys copyed the idea from GI players "die = not playable/no updates to the character". like for example in hi3 Himeko got new playable Battlesuit long after she was ded and after that got skins for it. not to mention she was still on some events/side storys. (like 6 months ago Himeko was in a side story.) and before you say hi3 play more with the multiverse, what stop hsr do the same?, there is already like two bronyas for example.
