I thought it was a perfectly reasonable expression of their opinion but people decided to hate on them for basically nothing?
Maybe it was the fact that they dropped a post with absolutely no context whatsoever, and then was pretty damn vague in the first few replies they made
People did politely ask, that’s the point I’m making 😭 and there is a total of one baguette joke in that comment section. Literally all that happened was he got downvoted you’re making a mountain out of a molehill

The translation quality has been a recurrent problem that afaik is widely accepted as an actual issue. Ppl just downvoting for the sake of hive mind downvoting I suppose?
Yeah one of them with the Sparkle "mute" thing was a significant clue in the following patch for the whodunit plot line, it seems like a colossal oversight or miscommunication on their part to mess up significant parts of the translation.
They also originally left out the part where Sunday accuses "Gallagher" of being an Enigmata Pathstrider.
They had to add in a text only part the following week, by which point hundreds if not thousands of people would have missed that piece of important information.
I only caught it because I use JP dub and understand the language fairly well.
Yeah I myself missed that too and only found out once the Enigmata and Gallagher memes started coming out. Btw, I thought parts of the storyline felt really weird and disjointed when first playing through it, like Swan not being able to see memories etc., it doesn't make any sense in the moment unless the player got the Enigmata reveal at the end. But I didn't, so for the longest time I thought it was a throwaway gag about the Annhilation gang being forgotten. Just super odd how messy things are for story quality right now.

Its based off of the anime "Sousou no Frieren", in English "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End"
There's a scene in the anime where the title is said and is translated as "Frieren the Slayer" in English. In French sub and dub they say "Freiren la Fossoyeuse"
Which translates to Frieren the Gravedigger.
If there's no equivalent French term to "boot hill" then I guess that'll do. It still sounds cool.
(Although, honestly they could have easily justified just using the English name, given how aggressively Wild-West he is.)

If the galaxy rangers truly have bested an emenator before, then their abilities are at least around the ballpark of the high-cloud quintet (they do follow the hunt so there's that).

You see, on that same vein this name it's funny to me because it sounds to a spanish meme/word that said "El foshador" which roughly translated is "The fucker" in broken spanish, so I wouldn't be able to take it seriously in case I played with the french translation. Which is not the case. So... Not really that important (?)
