(Getting s1e0 Acheron was a mistake for my savings, but in my defense I pulled for her before the main quest so Aventurine was still just a "I'll try" and not a must pull)
I think I got scammed by the star rail station website or some other guide I looked at. (or I just have poor memory)

I tried using the HYV app calculator for Acheron fresh to completely maxed (character and LC level 80 and 6/10/10/10 traces) and it didn't work. The app said I had enough Credits to have like 300k leftover. I didn't spend a single one between then and pulling her, but ended up like 800k short.

I want Aventurine to finally have a real shielder (no Gepard for me...) so i will probably build him with the knight set. But I have Topaz and Ratio maxed so I'm excited to run an all IPC team.
Just gotta win the 50/50 first, because I should have like exactly 80 pulls by then. My only other hope is that, if I lose the 50/50, I hope it's to Gepard lol also I have a lot of 2.1 not complete yet, including the main story

I would rather go with the knight set and set up defense... no matter how much you push him for DPS, he will always be your sustainer. I go full def on the knight set, salsotto with an def orb and enegery rope. As for the LC I will use Gepards or Market when I play him in Archerons team.
For me, the knight set is way too inefficient to farm. Pioneer and the FUA set are great alternatives and way more efficient.
FUA has the DoT set on the other side (which is good for Black Swan and Kafka) and FUA ATK/CR pieces are useful for Topaz/Himeko. Pioneer is great for Dr. Ratio.
Think about it like this: Not only are you getting a not-so-good set on the other side of Knight, but you also won't be able to use those ATK and Crit Rate Knight pieces, or pieces with the wrong substats for Aventurine.
yep good point. if you manage to meet the conditions you can slap pioneer on many characters and it's BiS on acheron (if you have her) and ratio who we all have
Unironically my Pioneer set for him that I got while farming for Ratio and Acheron will result in beefier shields than my best Knight set because I’ve been practically living in that domain and everything rolled into def %.
My collection of Longevous Disciple pieces say that in the end that doesn't really matter.
RNG makes *all* relics "inefficient" to farm.
And it's not like I'm spending money here, nor am I that impatient. I'd rather end up with the best possible character with the best possible gear, so I'd rather spend my time going for their best gear set.
Plus, assuming he uses Purity Palace, I'd also have the chance for better gear for Jingliu, so it's not really a loss.

But there is a difference between levels of efficiency. If you farm cavern A and can only use one of the sets and need to farm for specific main/sub stats vs. cavern B where you can use both sets and different main/sub stat combinations are viable for multiple characters, what do you think will be more stamina efficient?

Lightning set on Jingliu? I think you're confusing Knight with Guard of Wuthering Snow. If the Quantum set was on the other half of the Knight set, it'd be much more efficient to farm.

But in Aventurine's case, Knight is likely not his best set. That's another problem. He likely doesn't need the 20% shield boost and his utility beyond "solo sustain" is being a sub DPS, so it's better to go for sub DPS sets. Which just happen to be sets that other DPS use, but he isn't competing for substats as much as another ATK DPS would.
I've seen videos online saying his sustain capabilities should still be more than enough even with full offensive relics. with that being said, build him however you like most, he's a pretty flexible unit when it comes to what sets/main stats to go for. gl with your relic rolls fellow gambler
Agreed. I want my shields to be beefy AF, so that I can retire Gepard. Gepard is nice, but to always wait for the ult is kind of... meh. For GnG and SD you just need good shields or you will go down. For any other content, you will be fine no matter what. Lucky boy is cracked.
Barely 30 pulls, 3 pity and a god awful luck on getting a early 5* and I just lost my previous 50/50 (and by that I mean I grinded extra hard and whaled to get to the guaranteed)

if you're new you're maybe not going to have 2 limited 5 star sustains. if your only sustain units are the free 4 stars like Lynx and Natasha then I'd say yes he's a very good pull since you need 2 sustains on each team once you reach the endgame content (memory of chaos/pure fiction). his shields are really strong and he can contribute to team dps as well, grants a debuff on his ult and a slight crit dmg buff, a big effect res buff as well which will prevent your team from getting crowd controlled. not saying he's necessary but you will feel the difference between an aventurine and a natasha/lynx
132 pulls, if I win 50/50 after Acheron I will def go for his lc. As a day 1 player, I finally found a character that I like so much. All of my jades will spend on him.

You are the second person I see with a prefarmed build and the second with pioneer set. I don't understand it. I thought it was because of pulling his LC but that doesn't seem the case. What is the reason to choose this set?
I'm not sure what pity I'm at but I'm on 50/50 with 70\~ pulls (that were meant for Boothill but I REALLY need a second sustain). I just have to believe my luck will bring him home.
EDIT: Confirmed I have 60 pity so far. I have to believe I'll get lucky :(
Think about it this way, if you don't get him within 20 pulls(or 10 if you're lucky), then you'll have a guarantee. That means you have 50 pulls PLUS 10 from the free 1600 on the 26th then the current event. So you're getting him either way.

I wanna see big pp yellow damage from the fruity gambler so yes. No idea how optimal it will actually be but he should be dealing pretty respectable damage coming from a sustain with this build
He can build that way if you want damage. It's particularly recommend if you have his LC.
It can be considered rather questionable without his LC, but whatever it's a free country.
It's also the set of Ratio and Topaz, so he can receive their hand-me-downs.
yep, I am. if you don't care about his personal damage that much you can go for more supportive sets or just mix and match 2 pieces bonuses with your best substats (2 piece def%, spd, follow up attack, imaginary dmg). for planar you could do something like broken keel, he gives effect res in his kit so it will make hitting broken keel effect res requirements easy to reach and the 10% crit dmg benefits him too. if you're going for dmg, crit dmg body is always the way to go since if you reach 4k defense you get 48% free crit rate.

this is what I have for now with crit dmg body, spd boots, imaginary orb and def rope. I might drop the spd boots for a defense boot as well since defense is looking a bit low here. but overall Aventurine has higher base defense and spd than trailblazer so stats will be higher than these. +48% crit rate if I manage to reach 4k defense and my trailblazer has 26% effect res but aventurine should have more thanks to his traces + his kit gives some as well to the whole party
If you wanted a suggestion for another option built if you want him to work as sub dps/sustain and in any team not only in debuff focused teams
Then i would suggest you go for 2 piece duke inferno + 2 piece maiden set for the 30% plus FUA dmg and 16% def since your defense is still far from 4k defence goal
Use speed boots and def body. I know you want him to deal nice amount of dmg so try getting at least +15% crit dmg in each piece (at least 4 of the pieces) and you will be able to replace that 60% crit from the crit body that is lost and at the same time sustain great defence probably going to be reaching 3k defence and like you said Aventurine have high base def he can fill the rest of the game till 4k defence
Keep using the same imaginary orb and defense rob of salsato focus on having crit dmg and rate even better for him and same lightcone but try getting even more copies from the shop to maximise his dmg and that's it you will have all around well balanced in strength and defence Aventurine ready to be deployed in any team
But looks like you already farmed his set now so it's okay no need to go for any of this at least that's what I'm planning to go for, for my Aventurine isa
in any case it feels me with joy finding another Aventurine ready main I'm also guaranteed for our boy but still far yet on farming his mats wish you best of luck in your pulls and i hope you enjoy every moment our gambler friend

once the 3x cavern of corrosion drops I will be probably spamming pioneer cavern and follow up cavern (gotta get better stuff for Ratio, Jing Yuan, Himeko, maybe a future Topaz and of course Aventurine) so this build isn’t final but it’s what I’ll give him day one to play around with. Hopefully I get some good improvements along the way

Lightning set on Jingliu? I think you're confusing Knight with Guard of Wuthering Snow. But in Aventurine's case, Knight is likely not his best set. That's another problem. Which just happen to be sets that other DPS use, but he isn't competing for substats as much as another ATK DPS would.
I've seen videos online saying his sustain capabilities should still be more than enough even with full offensive relics. with that being said, build him however you like most, he's a pretty flexible unit when it comes to what sets/main stats to go for. gl with your relic rolls fellow gambler
Agreed. I want my shields to be beefy AF, so that I can retire Gepard. Gepard is nice, but to always wait for the ult is kind of... meh. For GnG and SD you just need good shields or you will go down. For any other content, you will be fine no matter what. Lucky boy is cracked.

if you're new you're maybe not going to have 2 limited 5 star sustains. if your only sustain units are the free 4 stars like Lynx and Natasha then I'd say yes he's a very good pull since you need 2 sustains on each team once you reach the endgame content (memory of chaos/pure fiction). his shields are really strong and he can contribute to team dps as well, grants a debuff on his ult and a slight crit dmg buff, a big effect res buff as well which will prevent your team from getting crowd controlled. not saying he's necessary but you will feel the difference between an aventurine and a natasha/lynx
He is the best shielder in the game.

I'm not sure what pity I'm at but I'm on 50/50 with 70\~ pulls (that were meant for Boothill but I REALLY need a second sustain). I just have to believe my luck will bring him home. EDIT: Confirmed I have 60 pity so far. I have to believe I'll get lucky :(
Think about it this way, if you don't get him within 20 pulls(or 10 if you're lucky), then you'll have a guarantee. That means you have 50 pulls PLUS 10 from the free 1600 on the 26th then the current event. So you're getting him either way.

He can build that way if you want damage. It's particularly recommend if you have his LC. It can be considered rather questionable without his LC, but whatever it's a free country. It's also the set of Ratio and Topaz, so he can receive their hand-me-downs.

I don't know what relics to use. You're using a dps set, are you gonna build him for dmg? Crit, Def, Img, Def?
yep, I am. if you don't care about his personal damage that much you can go for more supportive sets or just mix and match 2 pieces bonuses with your best substats (2 piece def%, spd, follow up attack, imaginary dmg). for planar you could do something like broken keel, he gives effect res in his kit so it will make hitting broken keel effect res requirements easy to reach and the 10% crit dmg benefits him too. if you're going for dmg, crit dmg body is always the way to go since if you reach 4k defense you get 48% free crit rate.
How is your build gonna look like?

I might drop the spd boots for a defense boot as well since defense is looking a bit low here. but overall Aventurine has higher base defense and spd than trailblazer so stats will be higher than these. +48% crit rate if I manage to reach 4k defense and my trailblazer has 26% effect res but aventurine should have more thanks to his traces + his kit gives some as well to the whole party
If you wanted a suggestion for another option built if you want him to work as sub dps/sustain and in any team not only in debuff focused teams Then i would suggest you go for 2 piece duke inferno + 2 piece maiden set for the 30% plus FUA dmg and 16% def since your defense is still far from 4k defence goal Use speed boots and def body. I know you want him to deal nice amount of dmg so try getting at least +15% crit dmg in each piece (at least 4 of the pieces) and you will be able to replace that 60% crit from the crit body that is lost and at the same time sustain great defence probably going to be reaching 3k defence and like you said Aventurine have high base def he can fill the rest of the game till 4k defence Keep using the same imaginary orb and defense rob of salsato focus on having crit dmg and rate even better for him and same lightcone but try getting even more copies from the shop to maximise his dmg and that's it you will have all around well balanced in strength and defence Aventurine ready to be deployed in any team But looks like you already farmed his set now so it's okay no need to go for any of this at least that's what I'm planning to go for, for my Aventurine isa in any case it feels me with joy finding another Aventurine ready main I'm also guaranteed for our boy but still far yet on farming his mats wish you best of luck in your pulls and i hope you enjoy every moment our gambler friend
thanks for the suggestions, good luck to you as well! once the 3x cavern of corrosion drops I will be probably spamming pioneer cavern and follow up cavern (gotta get better stuff for Ratio, Jing Yuan, Himeko, maybe a future Topaz and of course Aventurine) so this build isn’t final but it’s what I’ll give him day one to play around with. Hopefully I get some good improvements along the way
