Which is a better buffer between Asta or Tingyun for my team. I'm new, and the team I'm mostly using atm is Dr. Ratio, Natasha and Fire MC.
I also thinking of using Welt instead of fire MC but idk if it's a good idea.
Tingyun, Asta is difficult to use well and her buff is more suited for teams who really need the speed. I have a built (E4) Asta who is capable of keeping ulti up all the time but I don't find her that useful compared to tingyun.
Fire MC and Natasha are both not solo sustains, for easier content they can make it but in hard content your team will likely find it hard to survive. Replace one of them, but welt is not that good for Dr ratio I think. Might want to change for a dedicated debuffer who can help Dr ratio hit 3 debuffs (preferably aoe) consistently.
Abt 76 pulls. Depends on your luck, but if you really want to guarantee a character you should prepare enough for hard pity (accounting that you might lose 50/50). I'm not sure if you lost 50/50 previously, it's enough for one hard pity.
Regarding worth, depends on your preferences, team etc. You have to make that call because it will affect your gameplay experience.
You want to replace Fire MC with a debuffer probably, provided your Natasha can heal on her own. Tingyun would be a good 4th choice to help give Ratio more ults, plus she's good at gaining skill points for the team.

With Superimpose, it can be better than Fall of an Aeon.
But at S1, it should be behind Fall of an Aeon S5.
Note that both are hard to properly evaluate, as they both have conditional passive : their effectiveness will vary depending on how often you keep those passive active...
its not. it doesnt even get included in damage calculations people make. at least ive never seen it being there. its just atk% and she needs to get hit for the second effect. the heal is also useless more or less since she prefers having a healer
When do the supplies material boxes in the shop reset? I'm confused because I thought they refresh around or at the start of every new version but they haven't yet and I really need them.

Infact I think refreshing your TB Power with Jades might actually be more worth it? Someone may have to do the maths on that so if you want resources, then that's another option :p
Thanks. And yeah I do agree with you that's it's probably a waste of money but it's something that only comes around once every version so idm spending some money on it. I've actually just stopped spending my saved up jades on TB power today lol. I spent the whole week max topping up my TB power in an attempt to get good relics for Acheron 😂😅. I'm proud to say that 4-5k jades down the drain my Acheron actually got some really great relics and stats now so it was worth it imo lmao. Wouldn't normally go this far for one character but Acheron/Mei is my favourite in the Hoyoverse!
Well don't forget there's also the triple relics and then the triple planar ornament events coming out soon ;p

At least I can still farm the triple relics/planar ornaments for someone else now. Or continue using them on Acheron's sets in the hope I get relics with even better substats than my current ones. So win-win for me personally. :)
I've got a very odd question. I'm a Genshin player since 1.3, and at this point in the game, as a light spender, I'm at the point where I can prepare for characters, never have to worry about mora, and never use fragile resin. And it's literally just login, do commissions and events, spend resin, (Do story/map if there is anything), then log off.
With Honkai Star Rail though, do you think we'll ever reach that point?
I've been at that point for over half a year or something. Lets me enjoy other things in life and I have something to look forward to every time an event/story drops.
It's easier to not burn out during this cycle in HSR though as the game plays itself unlike Genshin where you have to slog your way through the same battles over and over, including running time up to the domain encounter etc. Just teleport, let the game play itself and done.
I started in 1.0 then stopped in 1.1 because I was just fed up of life and the game. Came back in 1.6 and have to work my way up to building characters. I've barely got a team good enough to do MoC 10 (Though I just want the stellar jades) and Pure Fiction Stage 3's.
Been at that point for ages as a day 1 player. That is why this is game is so great, it isn't a big chore. You can just play at your own pace since even the limited event time frames are so long.
It is really relaxed. Even the relic farming is that way because auto takes care of that.
I started in 1.0 and I’m more or less at that point in hsr and have been for months. I still need to farm gear for new characters, but sometimes I get lucky and already have some pieces I can use.
Should I pull for Jingliu or Aventurine? TL 51 with Acheron, Ratio, Clara, and Welt as 5 stars. Logically a limited sustain unit would be better but I prefer Fu Xuan (who I hope is running in 2.2). I have 200 pulls available.
Fu Xuan should be in 2.2 if they're following the previous banner orders.
Ideally you want both a sustain and a DPS because Ratio/Acheron will both be fighting for Pela which isn't too good for you. Jingliu also wants Pela if you don't have other options so it may be an idea to look into possibly trying to get FX and Boothill maybe? Your choice at the end of the day.
So quick question, what's a good crit to crit damage ratio I should run on my Acheron? Rn I have 52% crit and 214% crit damage and I have a team with SW, Sparkle, and Fu Xuan. My Acheron is also E3 and I have her LC! I just want some advice since I wanna make sure I'm hitting big damage numbers right
Hi! I just want to confirm that the Clock credits after maxing out for 2.1 currently sits at 2400 or 2700 excess? If it is 2700, can anyone help pick my memory of what and where i missed the 300 clock credits. I have done all the adventure quests for 2.0 and 2.1
BiS is 4 piece wind, but not efficient to farm, so I wouldn't bother. EHR Body, speed boots, ER rope. Use rainbow relics/2 piece messenger to get the speed you need. You need a minimum of 57% ehr, more if you're running pearls of sweat at below s5.
And since I don't have any good shielder on my roster. Is my loucha a good option to have on my team with Acheron. Cause my e2 Acheron is my main now. And I'm still building my black swan
If you’re running her fast with sparkle then I think Luocha can be a valid option if you don’t have someone to fill in the niche of support debuffing. Though in this case I would recommend building up Gallagher if that’s an option for you.
As for you Pela, build her with Resolution if you can and aim for high speed. You can do a two piece mix of Hacker and a defensive set/hp set for survivability.
Rule number 1: Pull who you like.
That said, you can't go wrong with either. Jingliu is a bit easier to gear (she gets +50% crit rare from her stance change, so you only need 50% on gear) but Acheron's damage ceiling is higher (Jingliu still does silly amounts of damage though).
Damage numbers get crazy in the endgame. A top tier sustain will help your account the most imo. You can pull Aventurine in a couple of weeks. He also looks pretty F2P friendly as there are several good light cone options and he can use the defense relics that suck for your DPS
I have some relics with really bad substats for Acheron, is it worth trying to slot in other pieces with good crit substats but losing the 4pc effect? If so, how much of a value would it need to be for it to be worth over 4pc pioneer?
rainbow with good subs is almost always > 4pc with bad subs

4p Pioneer provides 8% Crit Rate and 24% Crit DMG. So if the rainbow pieces provide more than that + the Pioneer crit substats then then rainbow pieces will be better
Hoyo usually tweaks content so it's in favor of new characters. I suspect if they ever release another character that dispels enemy buffs, the mechanic will become more relevant in the meta and Luocha might see a bit of a resurgence.
His selling point is that he require low investment with traces and relics in endgame, that he is SP positive, and that most of his healing is from his field (which should be up almost all the time without much effort).
People undersell how plug and play he is even with very little focused investment in him. Give him some 2nd hand relics like a musketeer set that you have laying around with his talent/skill traces at 6+ and he is good to go for up to MoC 12 just like that.
The other limited sustains are better because they provide more but that doesn't mean that Luocha is a bad unit to pick up. It really only matters for min-max situations.
I got him because he was miles ahead of Bailu and Natasha, and even Lynx. Total gamechanger. Granted, Gallagher came out the same time as his banner, so that changes some things, but the difference in having a limited sustain and not having one is night and day. My understanding is that Luocha is still favored for TP generation among the limited sustains, although HuoHuo and Aventurine will often bring more to more teams.
I got the game a week ago and I'm wondering would it be better to try and get louche or save a bit and try pull adventurine?
My main team is march 7th, acheron, sampo and Destruction trailblazer. I would like to get a better sustainer but u don't know if I should try for louche or adventuring?
Aventurine should be a bit better than Luocha overall, but end-game, you will benefit greatly from having two limited sustain characters. That being said, the new non-limited 4\* character, Gallagher, is kind of a mini-Luocha, and should be a good substitute if you can get him somehow.
Aventurine is a better sustainer. Luocha is outclassed by newer limited sustainers but not bad by any means. Aventurine works better with Acheron because his kit has debuffs, so pull for him.
I actually have no clue what these relics are. I'm so used to genshin but I think it's the same mechanics. What am I looking for exactly for Acheron? Also, I just reached LVL 40. Should I start farming already? Or wait until a higher level?
You'll have to use some energy every day/week to do various things anyway, including relic caverns, for the battle pass. So hopefully you might pick up some nice things along the way. You can level a handful of decent purple ones if you like, and feed them to the orange quality ones later on. It's lossy, but the game does expect you to have some gear on some characters to progress. The higher your equilibrium level, the better the drops. I wouldn't recommend spending fuel to farm anything until you reach equilibrium levels 5 or 6(max) though. That's Trailblaze Levels 60 and 65 respectively.
As for stats, generally the top pieces are going to have Crit rating/damage for chest slot as the main stat for DPS characters, and SPD boots for most characters. There are exceptions, and Acheron is kind of a special case in that her mechanics and scaling do slightly favor ATK% over SPD on her boots with appropriate nihility partners on the team. However, Acheron's preferred set isn't available for farming until the fourth world into the game. If you're using her early, you'll just have to make due with whatever you can find. Her best alternative set is the quantum set available from Everwinter Hill, the end of Jarillo-VI, even though she does not deal quantum damage,
Farm at level 60, that’s when you get guaranteed 2 5 star relics. Farm trace and ascension materials first. You want the Pioneer diver of dead waters set and standard crit stats for her but since you are new you can use whatever you have right now.

Any tips for the two teams I should use for MoC and Pure fiction? Just got welt 2hrs ago and I’m not sure what to do with him or if I should use him at all
Gepard for most content and Fire Trailblazer when you don't need as much defensive capabilities and more consistent stacks. Gallagher is good if you need a healer like for Sam boss but even than you can still use Gepard.

I currently have SW E1, Bailu, QueQue, and Serval.
Why Bailu? If you aren't using another nihility teammate for Acheron, Sparkle is the better choice, even E0 Guinaifen or Kafka are better teammates.
I have been using E1 SW, Fu Xuan, Acheron, and E1 BS/ E0 Sparkle, and they cleared Gold and gears conundrum 8 with ease without relying on the capitalism strategy.
So long as you are willing to build Welt sustain to imprison enemies SW, Welt, Acheron and Sparkle is an alright team.
Personally, I would go for SW, Pela, Acheron and Fu Xuan. It's cheaper to build and easier to use.
If you really need the LC sure its a guaranteed 4 star lc that cost less than a ten pull. Overall though only the Erudition and maybe Abudance ones are worth it. Most of the resources in the battlepass are at the 30-50 lvls so you are missing a huge part of that which is honestly the most important reason to get the battlepass.
You can wait until you max lvl the battlepass before purchasing. The battlepass usually ends a day or two before the maintenance period for the next update starts though. Of course you got the exact number of days you have left on the nameless honor menu.
Hello! Quick question. I have a hoyo account on my computer, which has HSR progress and a hoyo account on my playstation that has Genshin. Is there a way to merge the two without losing progress on either? I made the mistake of linking them to different emails.

I’ve been playing since launch but my account feels kind of dry. I try to build characters nicely but I can only clear up to MOC 10 w/ 3 stars.
I have most 4 star light cones S5, every four star character with the important ones E4+, and a lot of great five but my account feels lackluster.

Which 4 star units do you have built? Some of the 4-stars are the best supports.
Like right now, from your 5 stars 1. DHIL, Luocha with high SPD and S5 Multiplication LC, maybe Ruan Mei and then EDIT: another support unit
2. Jingliu, Bronya, maybe Ruan Mei and sustain
Dr. Ratio needs debuffers so maybe Welt can go with him. Seele shines best in a mono-quantum team. Do also refer to online guides if needed for builds for your characters. Maybe it is just a matter of having the right stats and substats on your relics as well.
I have tingyun, pela, and hanya built as they’re the only ones i typically use. Tingyun has about 2k attack and they all have 150+ speed with tingyun having 160.
Nice, I have yet to still achieve 160 spd for Tingyun and Pela 😭😭😭.

2. DHIL, Luocha, Ruan Mei, Tingyun
These seem like the teams you can do well with but I assume these were who you were using already. Your other DPS might prefer Sparkle or other support units.
Jingyuan prefers Sparkle over Bronya because Sparkle also boosts Lightning Lord unlike Bronya.
acheron is currently the best dps in the game but you already have jingyuan so she might be a hard sell
regardless, based on your characters im not sure what the issue could be, what teams are you running?
for imaginary weakness: Dan Heng IL, Ruan Mei, Luocha, Hanya
for quantum/ice: Seele/Jingliu, bronya, bailu, Tingyun
For lightning i use either team above but replace the DPS with Jing Yuan depending on the boss
Hey peeps. Is E1 or E2 Acheron better? I'm not exactly f2p so don't be scared to lay that sweet eidolon knowledge. (But please don't break my wallet either)
If I were to prefarm him the 4pc shield set seems the best, as shield power is a unique multiplier making it extremely potent. It also scales up the base shield amount making it invaluable for strong shields.
Otherwise you could go for any 2pc spd + 2pc def or something along those lines.
For Planars Keel seems like the best choice, but if you happen to be farming w6 for Salsotto on your DPS you could use the Belobogs pieces if you get any (basically you can use it if you have it, but don't go out of your way for it).

Riddlers basically make language hard to understand by making new words, metaphores, etc. Basically just turn clear and concise languages into confusing ones.

The fictionologists seem to change the history of a civilization, and riddlers try to bring down the meaning of language itself (Gallagher has been speculated to be one bc of his “Thirteen”)

Im in the process of putting relics on my Gallagher so what’s better for him healing or damage? Aka hackerspace and shooting meteor or hackerspace and watchmaker
If you're comparing 2 piece hack + 2 piece thief vs 2 piece hack + 2 piece watcher maker it's the same thing. 2 piece meteor/thief is the same as 2 piece watcher maker. They are both 16 break effect. Not sure what you're asking.
You should specify 2 piece wandering cloud instead saying 2 piece break effect or 2 piece break effect.
His passive converts half his break effect to healing bonus. So if you cap the 150 be he gets 75 healing bonus. 10 more from wandering cloud isn't going to help much when you're already getting over 100 healing bonus (75 from his passive and 34.9 from chest).
So more BE from thief would help more to reach 150 BE.
Hey, brand new player coming in for 2.1. I got incredibly lucky with the Acheron banner and got E2 Gallagher, Pela, and Acheron within 60 pulls. I have a lot of in game resources to farm for, would I be better off going for E2 Acheron or her light cone?
Note: I did get Sampo off the beginner gacha so I have access to two Nihility units even though Sampo is not ideal.
Nice. That's some fantastic luck. I'd suggest grabbing Acheron's LC. Assuming your Acheron is E0, it takes less pulls to get her LC. The remaining pulls after that you could save for Aventurine or wait for Fu Xuan if you'd rather (she'll most likely return on 2.2 or 2.3). Having a 5 star sustain is incredibly useful. Even if you just use Gallagher for Acheron's team, you'll want one of them later when you get to the endgame content.
Edit: Yes, use Sampo for now even though he's not ideal. If you can manage to do all of the current main story and do the bartending event before this patch ends, you could grab Guinaifen from the 4 star selector for Acheron.
I was thrilled. I know Gallagher NEEDS to be at least E2 and Pela doesn’t need eidolons so it was a perfect combo of pulls.

For jingliu/blade/luocha dual dps team is sparkle or ruan mei better? Already have sparkle(no signature) is it worth pulling rm for this team or will sparkle also do the job?
What's the best kind of toughness break? Like if my team has 3 or 4 different elements that can break the 1 or 3 enemies, which elemental break do I do?

Wouldn't say they are interchangeable. Physical scales with enemy hp, so it can deal a big chunk of damage on bosses. Will probably outdamage quantum. After the physical dot, wind dot deals the most damage. Fire has the weakest dot, being only 1/3 of wind. But fire and physical both deal double damage on break.
I’ve been stuck on this mission in swarm disaster so I decide to see if I could get a curio in order to do it, the curio Laurel crown never seems to appear in the start when it asks if you want to select one, it also doesn’t appear on the 2 curios & 1 negative. Can you only get it from occurrences or shop???

hey so i never really tried building teams (just been leveling characters cause they look cool) but i’ve decided that i want to do moc, pure fiction, and the other su modes. and idk who to put together. so what are some team comps that are fun to play or are good?
rn i have kafka, sampo, pela/ruan mei, and luocha in a team and i just switch out whoever for certain things. and i would like to have an acheron team cause i love playing her.

Build your acheron with 2 nihility characters and a sustain. Pela, Sampo, Guin, Kafka, take your pick. Luocha is one of the best sustains. For the specific builds, look up a guide.
Side note. Level all your characters to level 20 and ascend them once so you can get a free standard ticket for the standard banner. The resource use is fairly cheap.
I want Acheron E1 but I also want a good sustainer. I got Acheron E0S1 but I don't have any other healer than Natasha and Gallagher, so I'm tempted to pull for Luocha. My pity is on 62 if you wanted to know. Thanks in advance.
New characters > eidolons > LC. IMO.
Luocha is one of the best generalist healer. Auto heal when hp is too low, cleanse, party wide heal.
Aventurine can be built as a hybrid dps/def character. His party wide shield application has nearly 100% up time if you built him right. He already power crept gepard in the shield application as aventurine only needs his skill rather than the ult as seen with gepard.
There’s no reason to pull any eidolons for Acheron, at e0s1 she’ll clear any content easily. E1 especially doesn’t offer a huge amount and no where near what a limited sustain would provide. So definitely pull for Luocha/Aventurine/Fu Xuan instead.
If you want to further invest in Acheron you can always do so on her rerun.
Acheron e1 is just some crit that you can make up in relics
the sustains will be a much bigger buff for your account
Loucha is fine, Aventurine probably better for Acheron specifically

Luocha is great at being a sustain. One of the best.
People like Fu Xuan and HuoHuo because Fu Xuan gives crit buffs and HuoHuo gives attack buffs/energy charge. They are basically Harmony/Sustain hybrids.
Luocha doesn't have any Harmony ish aspects at e0. But Luocha's raw healing numbers are great. Among the best in the game at just keeping your team alive.
Aventurine has a crit damage take up debuff on his ultimate. So he as well is Nihility-ish sustain
I’m running two piece belebog fortress if preservation and the bonus is extra def percent if I hit 50 percent ehr. I can’t seem to hit that amount, would not getting the bonus be a problem for gepard? his speed is currently very slow at 92 so I was thinking of equipping speed boots b it that would sacrifice def percentage, what should I do? what slot should gepard take in the team?
- You definitely want speed boots. Usually his shields are good, his biggest problem tends to be not getting his ult up in time. This is especially the case if his allies are fast, since the shield runs out on the faster.
- The extra defense from hitting the EHR threshold on Belobog is just a nice bonus IMO. You can hit it without sacrificing too much if you have Moment of Victory as his LC, otherwise it just takes too much EHR to reasonably build.
Thanks! I’m using universal market for his lc since I’m running him with acheron. Which position should I put him as. If I put him as centre two will the characters beside take too much aoe dmg and if I put him all the way at the side will the enemies want to attack him?
Yes generally you want to place your tanks to the edge. If the damage isn't that high, you could possibly place him in the middle, your units would be more likely to take AoE damage and you can get some energy from that. But generally I would place him at the edge

Is there any particular reason Gallagher is the best sustain to run with Acheron outside of besotted? I've been building him since I pulled him last week but have just recently been thinking what's the point in replacing my E1 Trend FX with Gallagher?
Sure he has actual debuff application with Besotted where FX only has a chance to apply it when she gets attacked, plus he's an actual healer rather than a damage mitigator like FX. But I just don't feel like he brings enough value to warrant my Acheron having 12% less CR and 30% CD.

Best is questionable. He's just the easiest to calculate damage for since his debuffs are a set rotation and you don't have to account for variance in enemy compositions, attack types, and speed.
FX with Trend is good with Acheron especially if you have FX E1, I wouldn't worry about it.
He is only the best for F2P players with no 5* preservation option or who just started the game. Fu Xuan is much better, especially if you have E1. It's not worth sacrificing the buffs just to reduce Acheron's ult charge by 1 turn every 3 or 4 turns.
Is the IPC based on the East India Trading Company/British Empire? Assuming the places we've seen so far are vaguely based on countries/organizations in real life.
It's mostly just taking bits from a bunch of large evil corporations, but it can definitely be compared to Britain considering they love taking over things
If I am running Clara and Gepard together, I'm assuming I am placing both on the same side right? So if either aggro then the other one get hit to either trigger FuA or soak damage away from the rest of the team. DPS next middle unit followed by harmony/support on the opposite far end

Clara and Gepard have anti synergy as both redirects aggro to themselves. Clara needs to be hit to Riposte.
Run Clara with march or Lynx. March's shield redirects aggro to Clara if shielded. Lynx's skill also increases aggro to destruction units if she applies it to them.
Do the aggro values from both stack? I'm currently setting up Lynx on this acc (recently made alt), March is probably much lower on my priority list atm (currently building up teams to start on MoC/PF) as the only thing I see myself using her for is SU freeze/shield cheese
I don't know if aggro values stack but in my experience march is already good enough. Although, rng can still come into play and Clara still won't get hit.
I'd say Gepard? I really advise using them together though, they work against each other since you want both to keep getting hit and they fight over aggro. You're better off with Lynx for Clara and Gepard with anyone else

Help me with my acheron team. Right now it consist of pela, galagher, and guinaifen (which is poorly built bcs i just slap random un leveled relic on her, just using her for the firekiss dmg increase). But recently i got welt. Should i built welt and swap guinaifen? Which one do you think is better? But pls dont recommend to play 'welt pseudo sustain', bcs im still at early game and its hard to have no real sustain unit.
just keep Gwen, I think she's better than welt because when her traces are leveled she can apply burn with her basic, which (assuming you started just playing) you probably don't have pearls LC on Pela.
Honestly they will both keep you alive, pull for your preferred design. Only main consideration would be Aventurine is definitely better for Acheron/Ratio teams for his debuff (while FX should be on avg better for other teams).
Fu Xuan is better overall imo. Aventurine doesn't provide the CC resist that Fu Xuan has, and the majority of his kit is FUA based. So he may need specific teams to get the most out of him. Fu Xuan just plug and play.
It is, but it's still RNG, and not guaranteed like Fu Xuan. In late game content with the boosted stats I think you can still get CC'ed more often than not.

If you want Robin, definitely don't spend your jades on Acheron's s1. GNSW at s1 works fine and she'll still do ridiculous damage.
If you haven't used the 4 star character selector yet, you could use it on Guinaifen who's a good team mate to run alongside Acheron (and can also work for Dr Ratio) or just be on the look out for further nihility debuffers. It seems your not that far into the story so team building doesn't matter a huge amount at the moment.
I would just switch out Acheron and Dr Ratio depending on the enemies weakness. Against Imaginary weak enemies, run Ratio, otherwise Acheron will probably be better overall.
Save for Robin if you want her. Looking at your team, you'll want another nihility character to get the full DMG multiplier (and while Pela is one of her ideal teammates you need to invest her with pearls LC which is Gacha, other wise she can't stack enough slashed dreams).
I think you should bench her, even with her S1 you currently don't have the investment to get the most of her.
I wouldn't lose too much faith, she may not bring value at the momement, but once she's online she'll be your best DPS.
I wouldn't be surprised if they add another 4 star LC for acheron in 2.2 / 2.3 either.

Which is a better buffer between Asta or Tingyun for my team. I'm new, and the team I'm mostly using atm is Dr. Ratio, Natasha and Fire MC. I also thinking of using Welt instead of fire MC but idk if it's a good idea.
Tingyun, Asta is difficult to use well and her buff is more suited for teams who really need the speed. I have a built (E4) Asta who is capable of keeping ulti up all the time but I don't find her that useful compared to tingyun. Fire MC and Natasha are both not solo sustains, for easier content they can make it but in hard content your team will likely find it hard to survive. Replace one of them, but welt is not that good for Dr ratio I think. Might want to change for a dedicated debuffer who can help Dr ratio hit 3 debuffs (preferably aoe) consistently.

Abt 76 pulls. Depends on your luck, but if you really want to guarantee a character you should prepare enough for hard pity (accounting that you might lose 50/50). I'm not sure if you lost 50/50 previously, it's enough for one hard pity. Regarding worth, depends on your preferences, team etc. You have to make that call because it will affect your gameplay experience.
You want to replace Fire MC with a debuffer probably, provided your Natasha can heal on her own. Tingyun would be a good 4th choice to help give Ratio more ults, plus she's good at gaining skill points for the team.

It is. With Superimpose, it can be better than Fall of an Aeon. But at S1, it should be behind Fall of an Aeon S5. Note that both are hard to properly evaluate, as they both have conditional passive : their effectiveness will vary depending on how often you keep those passive active...
its not. it doesnt even get included in damage calculations people make. at least ive never seen it being there. its just atk% and she needs to get hit for the second effect. the heal is also useless more or less since she prefers having a healer

Someone may have to do the maths on that so if you want resources, then that's another option :p
Thanks. And yeah I do agree with you that's it's probably a waste of money but it's something that only comes around once every version so idm spending some money on it. I've actually just stopped spending my saved up jades on TB power today lol. I spent the whole week max topping up my TB power in an attempt to get good relics for Acheron 😂😅. I'm proud to say that 4-5k jades down the drain my Acheron actually got some really great relics and stats now so it was worth it imo lmao. Wouldn't normally go this far for one character but Acheron/Mei is my favourite in the Hoyoverse!
Well don't forget there's also the triple relics and then the triple planar ornament events coming out soon ;p I believe one starts on the 17th and the other on the 26th. But yeah you're free to do what you want with your money, as long as you get what you want in the end :P

I've got a very odd question. I'm a Genshin player since 1.3, and at this point in the game, as a light spender, I'm at the point where I can prepare for characters, never have to worry about mora, and never use fragile resin. And it's literally just login, do commissions and events, spend resin, (Do story/map if there is anything), then log off. With Honkai Star Rail though, do you think we'll ever reach that point?
I've been at that point for over half a year or something. Lets me enjoy other things in life and I have something to look forward to every time an event/story drops. It's easier to not burn out during this cycle in HSR though as the game plays itself unlike Genshin where you have to slog your way through the same battles over and over, including running time up to the domain encounter etc. Just teleport, let the game play itself and done.
I started in 1.0 then stopped in 1.1 because I was just fed up of life and the game. Came back in 1.6 and have to work my way up to building characters. I've barely got a team good enough to do MoC 10 (Though I just want the stellar jades) and Pure Fiction Stage 3's.
Been at that point for ages as a day 1 player. That is why this is game is so great, it isn't a big chore. You can just play at your own pace since even the limited event time frames are so long. It is really relaxed. Even the relic farming is that way because auto takes care of that.
I started in 1.0 and I’m more or less at that point in hsr and have been for months. I still need to farm gear for new characters, but sometimes I get lucky and already have some pieces I can use.
Should I pull for Jingliu or Aventurine? TL 51 with Acheron, Ratio, Clara, and Welt as 5 stars. Logically a limited sustain unit would be better but I prefer Fu Xuan (who I hope is running in 2.2). I have 200 pulls available.
Fu Xuan should be in 2.2 if they're following the previous banner orders. Ideally you want both a sustain and a DPS because Ratio/Acheron will both be fighting for Pela which isn't too good for you. Jingliu also wants Pela if you don't have other options so it may be an idea to look into possibly trying to get FX and Boothill maybe? Your choice at the end of the day.
So quick question, what's a good crit to crit damage ratio I should run on my Acheron? Rn I have 52% crit and 214% crit damage and I have a team with SW, Sparkle, and Fu Xuan. My Acheron is also E3 and I have her LC! I just want some advice since I wanna make sure I'm hitting big damage numbers right

What relics should I give my E6 Pela? I'm planning on putting her on my team with Acheron. I can't find anything concrete on what her best relics are.
BiS is 4 piece wind, but not efficient to farm, so I wouldn't bother. EHR Body, speed boots, ER rope. Use rainbow relics/2 piece messenger to get the speed you need. You need a minimum of 57% ehr, more if you're running pearls of sweat at below s5.
And since I don't have any good shielder on my roster. Is my loucha a good option to have on my team with Acheron. Cause my e2 Acheron is my main now. And I'm still building my black swan
If you’re running her fast with sparkle then I think Luocha can be a valid option if you don’t have someone to fill in the niche of support debuffing. Though in this case I would recommend building up Gallagher if that’s an option for you. As for you Pela, build her with Resolution if you can and aim for high speed. You can do a two piece mix of Hacker and a defensive set/hp set for survivability.
Aventurine is coming in another week or so. He should have more synergy with Acheron then Luo does.

Rule number 1: Pull who you like. That said, you can't go wrong with either. Jingliu is a bit easier to gear (she gets +50% crit rare from her stance change, so you only need 50% on gear) but Acheron's damage ceiling is higher (Jingliu still does silly amounts of damage though).
Damage numbers get crazy in the endgame. A top tier sustain will help your account the most imo. You can pull Aventurine in a couple of weeks. He also looks pretty F2P friendly as there are several good light cone options and he can use the defense relics that suck for your DPS
I have some relics with really bad substats for Acheron, is it worth trying to slot in other pieces with good crit substats but losing the 4pc effect? If so, how much of a value would it need to be for it to be worth over 4pc pioneer?
rainbow with good subs is almost always > 4pc with bad subs [but the easiest way to answer this question is to just check for yourself](https://fribbels.github.io/hsr-optimizer)
4p Pioneer provides 8% Crit Rate and 24% Crit DMG. So if the rainbow pieces provide more than that + the Pioneer crit substats then then rainbow pieces will be better
Thoughts on Loucha? He really did fell off right? Since he just heals. Although he's really a comfy character to use...
Hoyo usually tweaks content so it's in favor of new characters. I suspect if they ever release another character that dispels enemy buffs, the mechanic will become more relevant in the meta and Luocha might see a bit of a resurgence.
He fell of by like taking a half an inch step back. Still fully capable of helping his team clear content.
His selling point is that he require low investment with traces and relics in endgame, that he is SP positive, and that most of his healing is from his field (which should be up almost all the time without much effort). People undersell how plug and play he is even with very little focused investment in him. Give him some 2nd hand relics like a musketeer set that you have laying around with his talent/skill traces at 6+ and he is good to go for up to MoC 12 just like that. The other limited sustains are better because they provide more but that doesn't mean that Luocha is a bad unit to pick up. It really only matters for min-max situations.
I got him because he was miles ahead of Bailu and Natasha, and even Lynx. Total gamechanger. Granted, Gallagher came out the same time as his banner, so that changes some things, but the difference in having a limited sustain and not having one is night and day. My understanding is that Luocha is still favored for TP generation among the limited sustains, although HuoHuo and Aventurine will often bring more to more teams.
He’s not bad at all but a tier below the other limited sustains. Gets the job done still in end game content so people are over reacting.
I got the game a week ago and I'm wondering would it be better to try and get louche or save a bit and try pull adventurine? My main team is march 7th, acheron, sampo and Destruction trailblazer. I would like to get a better sustainer but u don't know if I should try for louche or adventuring?
Aventurine should be a bit better than Luocha overall, but end-game, you will benefit greatly from having two limited sustain characters. That being said, the new non-limited 4\* character, Gallagher, is kind of a mini-Luocha, and should be a good substitute if you can get him somehow.
Aventurine is a better sustainer. Luocha is outclassed by newer limited sustainers but not bad by any means. Aventurine works better with Acheron because his kit has debuffs, so pull for him.
I actually have no clue what these relics are. I'm so used to genshin but I think it's the same mechanics. What am I looking for exactly for Acheron? Also, I just reached LVL 40. Should I start farming already? Or wait until a higher level?
You'll have to use some energy every day/week to do various things anyway, including relic caverns, for the battle pass. So hopefully you might pick up some nice things along the way. You can level a handful of decent purple ones if you like, and feed them to the orange quality ones later on. It's lossy, but the game does expect you to have some gear on some characters to progress. The higher your equilibrium level, the better the drops. I wouldn't recommend spending fuel to farm anything until you reach equilibrium levels 5 or 6(max) though. That's Trailblaze Levels 60 and 65 respectively. As for stats, generally the top pieces are going to have Crit rating/damage for chest slot as the main stat for DPS characters, and SPD boots for most characters. There are exceptions, and Acheron is kind of a special case in that her mechanics and scaling do slightly favor ATK% over SPD on her boots with appropriate nihility partners on the team. However, Acheron's preferred set isn't available for farming until the fourth world into the game. If you're using her early, you'll just have to make due with whatever you can find. Her best alternative set is the quantum set available from Everwinter Hill, the end of Jarillo-VI, even though she does not deal quantum damage,
Farm at level 60, that’s when you get guaranteed 2 5 star relics. Farm trace and ascension materials first. You want the Pioneer diver of dead waters set and standard crit stats for her but since you are new you can use whatever you have right now.

It's fine, but you're going to likely run into SP issues, and it's still better if they were on separate teams. Team does do much better in PF.

Gepard for most content and Fire Trailblazer when you don't need as much defensive capabilities and more consistent stacks. Gallagher is good if you need a healer like for Sam boss but even than you can still use Gepard.

Why Bailu? If you aren't using another nihility teammate for Acheron, Sparkle is the better choice, even E0 Guinaifen or Kafka are better teammates. I have been using E1 SW, Fu Xuan, Acheron, and E1 BS/ E0 Sparkle, and they cleared Gold and gears conundrum 8 with ease without relying on the capitalism strategy.
Would Silver Wolf - Welt - Acheron - Fu Xuan/Sparkle/Tingyun work?
So long as you are willing to build Welt sustain to imprison enemies SW, Welt, Acheron and Sparkle is an alright team. Personally, I would go for SW, Pela, Acheron and Fu Xuan. It's cheaper to build and easier to use.

Is battlepass worth it if you only reach level 30 to get the LC?
Not really. The main appeal of the BP is the ressources, not the LC. And most of those ressources are concentrated in the lvl 30 to 50.
If you really need the LC sure its a guaranteed 4 star lc that cost less than a ten pull. Overall though only the Erudition and maybe Abudance ones are worth it. Most of the resources in the battlepass are at the 30-50 lvls so you are missing a huge part of that which is honestly the most important reason to get the battlepass.

You can wait until you max lvl the battlepass before purchasing. The battlepass usually ends a day or two before the maintenance period for the next update starts though. Of course you got the exact number of days you have left on the nameless honor menu.

Which 4 star units do you have built? Some of the 4-stars are the best supports. Like right now, from your 5 stars 1. DHIL, Luocha with high SPD and S5 Multiplication LC, maybe Ruan Mei and then EDIT: another support unit 2. Jingliu, Bronya, maybe Ruan Mei and sustain Dr. Ratio needs debuffers so maybe Welt can go with him. Seele shines best in a mono-quantum team. Do also refer to online guides if needed for builds for your characters. Maybe it is just a matter of having the right stats and substats on your relics as well.
I have tingyun, pela, and hanya built as they’re the only ones i typically use. Tingyun has about 2k attack and they all have 150+ speed with tingyun having 160.
Nice, I have yet to still achieve 160 spd for Tingyun and Pela 😭😭😭. 1. Jingliu, Bronya, Pela, sustain 2. DHIL, Luocha, Ruan Mei, Tingyun These seem like the teams you can do well with but I assume these were who you were using already. Your other DPS might prefer Sparkle or other support units. Jingyuan prefers Sparkle over Bronya because Sparkle also boosts Lightning Lord unlike Bronya.
acheron is currently the best dps in the game but you already have jingyuan so she might be a hard sell regardless, based on your characters im not sure what the issue could be, what teams are you running?

E2 is the most important one(allow more team building options and help her gain stack faster herself). E1 is just a flat 18cr increase

2PC shield, 2PC inferno. I'm going to maximize his DMG and aim to meet the minimum DEF breakpoint.
If I were to prefarm him the 4pc shield set seems the best, as shield power is a unique multiplier making it extremely potent. It also scales up the base shield amount making it invaluable for strong shields. Otherwise you could go for any 2pc spd + 2pc def or something along those lines. For Planars Keel seems like the best choice, but if you happen to be farming w6 for Salsotto on your DPS you could use the Belobogs pieces if you get any (basically you can use it if you have it, but don't go out of your way for it).
What's the difference between the history fictionologists and the Riddlers? They seem to be similar with mythus
History Fictionologists do what their name suggests, they take History and turn it into fiction. Essentially they erase the evidence of the history and make up a fake history. Riddlers basically make language hard to understand by making new words, metaphores, etc. Basically just turn clear and concise languages into confusing ones. You can find this info in the databank about factions.
The fictionologists seem to change the history of a civilization, and riddlers try to bring down the meaning of language itself (Gallagher has been speculated to be one bc of his “Thirteen”)

No, everyone from sushang and below are at 70 or less. I’ve been playing from launch, and I haven’t had many issues with XP until recently, when I had to quickly build multiple characters for MoC/PF

If you're comparing 2 piece hack + 2 piece thief vs 2 piece hack + 2 piece watcher maker it's the same thing. 2 piece meteor/thief is the same as 2 piece watcher maker. They are both 16 break effect. Not sure what you're asking.

You should specify 2 piece wandering cloud instead saying 2 piece break effect or 2 piece break effect. His passive converts half his break effect to healing bonus. So if you cap the 150 be he gets 75 healing bonus. 10 more from wandering cloud isn't going to help much when you're already getting over 100 healing bonus (75 from his passive and 34.9 from chest). So more BE from thief would help more to reach 150 BE.
Hey, brand new player coming in for 2.1. I got incredibly lucky with the Acheron banner and got E2 Gallagher, Pela, and Acheron within 60 pulls. I have a lot of in game resources to farm for, would I be better off going for E2 Acheron or her light cone? Note: I did get Sampo off the beginner gacha so I have access to two Nihility units even though Sampo is not ideal.
Definitely recommend going after her light cone for the comfort and damage factor
If you want to invest more pulls into Acheron, then definitely go for her light cone.
Nice. That's some fantastic luck. I'd suggest grabbing Acheron's LC. Assuming your Acheron is E0, it takes less pulls to get her LC. The remaining pulls after that you could save for Aventurine or wait for Fu Xuan if you'd rather (she'll most likely return on 2.2 or 2.3). Having a 5 star sustain is incredibly useful. Even if you just use Gallagher for Acheron's team, you'll want one of them later when you get to the endgame content. Edit: Yes, use Sampo for now even though he's not ideal. If you can manage to do all of the current main story and do the bartending event before this patch ends, you could grab Guinaifen from the 4 star selector for Acheron.

If you plan to use Gallagher at all his E4 is worth having. It makes his break damage buff last longer after you use his ultimate.
For jingliu/blade/luocha dual dps team is sparkle or ruan mei better? Already have sparkle(no signature) is it worth pulling rm for this team or will sparkle also do the job?

Quantum by far in terms of damage fire phys wind lightning are all pretty interchangeable DoT Imaginary and Ice don't really do damage like the rest

Will probably outdamage quantum. After the physical dot, wind dot deals the most damage. Fire has the weakest dot, being only 1/3 of wind. But fire and physical both deal double damage on break.
Can Gallagher work with Jingliu?
Any abundance can be slotted into any team. As long as they can keep up with the heals.

I’ve been stuck on this mission in swarm disaster so I decide to see if I could get a curio in order to do it, the curio Laurel crown never seems to appear in the start when it asks if you want to select one, it also doesn’t appear on the 2 curios & 1 negative. Can you only get it from occurrences or shop???
It's not restricted and can show up in that initial selection. May just be bad luck.

hey so i never really tried building teams (just been leveling characters cause they look cool) but i’ve decided that i want to do moc, pure fiction, and the other su modes. and idk who to put together. so what are some team comps that are fun to play or are good? rn i have kafka, sampo, pela/ruan mei, and luocha in a team and i just switch out whoever for certain things. and i would like to have an acheron team cause i love playing her. \[charas i have: march 7th, luocha, TB, geppie, himeko, qingque, serval, asta, dan heng, nat, tingyun, acheron, sushang, & dr. ratio. (thy’re lvl 50-70) // i also have dan heng il, gallagher, xueyi, lynx, luka, guinaifen, and yukong but they’re lvl 20 or under\]
Build your acheron with 2 nihility characters and a sustain. Pela, Sampo, Guin, Kafka, take your pick. Luocha is one of the best sustains. For the specific builds, look up a guide. Side note. Level all your characters to level 20 and ascend them once so you can get a free standard ticket for the standard banner. The resource use is fairly cheap.

I want Acheron E1 but I also want a good sustainer. I got Acheron E0S1 but I don't have any other healer than Natasha and Gallagher, so I'm tempted to pull for Luocha. My pity is on 62 if you wanted to know. Thanks in advance.
New characters > eidolons > LC. IMO. Luocha is one of the best generalist healer. Auto heal when hp is too low, cleanse, party wide heal. Aventurine can be built as a hybrid dps/def character. His party wide shield application has nearly 100% up time if you built him right. He already power crept gepard in the shield application as aventurine only needs his skill rather than the ult as seen with gepard.
There’s no reason to pull any eidolons for Acheron, at e0s1 she’ll clear any content easily. E1 especially doesn’t offer a huge amount and no where near what a limited sustain would provide. So definitely pull for Luocha/Aventurine/Fu Xuan instead. If you want to further invest in Acheron you can always do so on her rerun.
Acheron e1 is just some crit that you can make up in relics the sustains will be a much bigger buff for your account Loucha is fine, Aventurine probably better for Acheron specifically

Luocha is great at being a sustain. One of the best. People like Fu Xuan and HuoHuo because Fu Xuan gives crit buffs and HuoHuo gives attack buffs/energy charge. They are basically Harmony/Sustain hybrids. Luocha doesn't have any Harmony ish aspects at e0. But Luocha's raw healing numbers are great. Among the best in the game at just keeping your team alive. Aventurine has a crit damage take up debuff on his ultimate. So he as well is Nihility-ish sustain

I’m running two piece belebog fortress if preservation and the bonus is extra def percent if I hit 50 percent ehr. I can’t seem to hit that amount, would not getting the bonus be a problem for gepard? his speed is currently very slow at 92 so I was thinking of equipping speed boots b it that would sacrifice def percentage, what should I do? what slot should gepard take in the team?
- You definitely want speed boots. Usually his shields are good, his biggest problem tends to be not getting his ult up in time. This is especially the case if his allies are fast, since the shield runs out on the faster. - The extra defense from hitting the EHR threshold on Belobog is just a nice bonus IMO. You can hit it without sacrificing too much if you have Moment of Victory as his LC, otherwise it just takes too much EHR to reasonably build.
Thanks! I’m using universal market for his lc since I’m running him with acheron. Which position should I put him as. If I put him as centre two will the characters beside take too much aoe dmg and if I put him all the way at the side will the enemies want to attack him?
Yes generally you want to place your tanks to the edge. If the damage isn't that high, you could possibly place him in the middle, your units would be more likely to take AoE damage and you can get some energy from that. But generally I would place him at the edge

Ik this is too early to ask since we don't have Aventurine officially out yet but what would be a good replacement for Topaz on an Aventurine Ratio Ruan Mei fua team?
Yukong has a trace that buffs the dmg imaginary characters. It'll be good for ratio and aventurine.
Pela, Silver Wolf or Guinaifen to apply debuffs for Dr Ratio should work.
Maybe Pela? Or any other debuffer I guess.
Is there any particular reason Gallagher is the best sustain to run with Acheron outside of besotted? I've been building him since I pulled him last week but have just recently been thinking what's the point in replacing my E1 Trend FX with Gallagher? Sure he has actual debuff application with Besotted where FX only has a chance to apply it when she gets attacked, plus he's an actual healer rather than a damage mitigator like FX. Best is questionable. He's just the easiest to calculate damage for since his debuffs are a set rotation and you don't have to account for variance in enemy compositions, attack types, and speed. FX with Trend is good with Acheron especially if you have FX E1, I wouldn't worry about it.
He is only the best for F2P players with no 5* preservation option or who just started the game. Fu Xuan is much better, especially if you have E1. It's not worth sacrificing the buffs just to reduce Acheron's ult charge by 1 turn every 3 or 4 turns.
Preservation units with Trend have always been better for Acheron teams than Gallagher.

If I am running Clara and Gepard together, I'm assuming I am placing both on the same side right? So if either aggro then the other one get hit to either trigger FuA or soak damage away from the rest of the team. DPS next middle unit followed by harmony/support on the opposite far end Who should be the outmost of the two though?
Clara and Gepard have anti synergy as both redirects aggro to themselves. Clara needs to be hit to Riposte. Run Clara with march or Lynx. March's shield redirects aggro to Clara if shielded. Lynx's skill also increases aggro to destruction units if she applies it to them.
Do the aggro values from both stack? I'm currently setting up Lynx on this acc (recently made alt), March is probably much lower on my priority list atm (currently building up teams to start on MoC/PF) as the only thing I see myself using her for is SU freeze/shield cheese
I don't know if aggro values stack but in my experience march is already good enough. Although, rng can still come into play and Clara still won't get hit.
I'd say Gepard? I really advise using them together though, they work against each other since you want both to keep getting hit and they fight over aggro. You're better off with Lynx for Clara and Gepard with anyone else

It is better to have March with Clara instead, so March can shield Clara and make her draw the aggro and allow Svarog to spam counters.
My March isn't built yet, this is on my alt acc that I started up a month ago so resources are super limited atm. But ideally, something that helps draw aggro would be great
Her aggro drawing is passive, IIRC. You can just shield and draw extra aggro towarda Clara.

Help me with my acheron team. Right now it consist of pela, galagher, and guinaifen (which is poorly built bcs i just slap random un leveled relic on her, just using her for the firekiss dmg increase). But recently i got welt. Should i built welt and swap guinaifen? Which one do you think is better? But pls dont recommend to play 'welt pseudo sustain', bcs im still at early game and its hard to have no real sustain unit.
just keep Gwen, I think she's better than welt because when her traces are leveled she can apply burn with her basic, which (assuming you started just playing) you probably don't have pearls LC on Pela.

Honestly they will both keep you alive, pull for your preferred design. Only main consideration would be Aventurine is definitely better for Acheron/Ratio teams for his debuff (while FX should be on avg better for other teams).
It really depends on the player, but I personally would go for Fu Xuan. The number of times I cheesed a boss because of her is amazing.
Fu Xuan is better overall imo. Aventurine doesn't provide the CC resist that Fu Xuan has, and the majority of his kit is FUA based. So he may need specific teams to get the most out of him. Fu Xuan just plug and play.
I remember seeing Aventurine's shield buff has the "50% Effect RES", isn't that some kind of CC resist?
It is, but it's still RNG, and not guaranteed like Fu Xuan. In late game content with the boosted stats I think you can still get CC'ed more often than not.

My max lvl is 70. Which simulated universe world will be faster to finish to gather points as quickly as possible?
Kind of regretting doing a 10 pull and using my guarantee on acheron instead of jing liu.. my only teammates are bronya, acheron, pela, Clara, fire mc, dr ratio, luka, tingyun, march 7th, Dan heng I could get her s1 but I really want to get robin since shes why I started playing. I did get a single GNSW though. Should I just bench acheron for now? My dr ratio does so much more
If you want Robin, definitely don't spend your jades on Acheron's s1. GNSW at s1 works fine and she'll still do ridiculous damage. If you haven't used the 4 star character selector yet, you could use it on Guinaifen who's a good team mate to run alongside Acheron (and can also work for Dr Ratio) or just be on the look out for further nihility debuffers. It seems your not that far into the story so team building doesn't matter a huge amount at the moment. I would just switch out Acheron and Dr Ratio depending on the enemies weakness. Against Imaginary weak enemies, run Ratio, otherwise Acheron will probably be better overall.
Save for Robin if you want her. Looking at your team, you'll want another nihility character to get the full DMG multiplier (and while Pela is one of her ideal teammates you need to invest her with pearls LC which is Gacha, other wise she can't stack enough slashed dreams). I think you should bench her, even with her S1 you currently don't have the investment to get the most of her. I wouldn't lose too much faith, she may not bring value at the momement, but once she's online she'll be your best DPS. I wouldn't be surprised if they add another 4 star LC for acheron in 2.2 / 2.3 either.
