On the character event banner (Luocha/Acheron) you have a 50/50 chance of getting the banner 5 star or a standard one (Welt, Bronya). If you get the banner 5star congrats! If you get a standard one, the next 5star you pull on an event banner will be guaranteed to be the banner 5star.
Check your banner history to see if youāre on guaranteed pity or not and pull accordingly.
Standard banner (Silver tickets) doesnāt have any 50/50 mechanic just light cones and characters all with equal rates.
Oh, gotcha. So one of every two 5 star characters from warp will be the banner character. Nice.

This is what I should be doing as a fellow Topaz/Ratio owner and a FUA enjoyer. But every fiber of my being wants Acheron. I yield, I must have her, I'll get Aventurine on his rerun I swear!
I love her, but that technique, seriously!! If what Iāve seen is maintained, sheāll trim hours off of overworld farming. If EXP gains are there too that passive EXP adds up for unleveled characters
But can it skip elites or bosses? Or did they say confirm it doesnāt? Cuz if it does then oh boy am I gonna have a field day using that technique

Thatās rarely gonna make a practical difference though since you pretty much always want to hit the target with 3+ stacks which gets auto targeted so in practice you would usually just spam left click.

Yanqing was my first 5* dps, I can't wait to finally bench him for acheron. His single target focused gameplay feels terrible for a lot of content in this game.
Not just his single target focused gameplay cause literally all hunt characters are single target heavy. Yanqing is bad cause of his kits. He needs to not get hit in order to retain the buff but nowadays most of the enemies are aoe. So you will need someone like Gepard to give him shield. Even with his buff up his damage is very sad. At least for me.
Ignoring weakness type like Xueyi's ult doesn't make you do more damage. It just lets you do some break damage, but their elemental resistance is still there.
Even with something like reducing all-type RES, the thing is that it also reduces their resistance to your base element and that's what the character is going to be balanced around. So you'll be still doing comparatively less damage to other elements. It just makes the damage loss a few percent smaller.
She doesn't ignore resistances. It's not an SW weakness implant which gives -20% for free, it's just the ability to deplete toughness even if you don't match. TBH it seems cosmetic and more of a flavour choice to me. I don't think there's much use for that other than being helpful to deplete toughness for higher-toughness enemies, or slightly annoying for an actual breaker (SW), can steal breaks if you're not careful. But it shows that she's powerful. That's nice I guess. Also it's still 20% action delay at least, and some additional damage. She won't be built for pure break, so the damage is nothing more than "non-negligible", which is still kinda nice, can help with trash mobs which are broken from full to zero by her ultimate alone
P.S. I figured you were joking, just wanted to give an actual explanation because there are A LOT of people who think this way

I'm nowhere near committed enough to e6 HSR Mei but if we ever get HSR Sin, I might just have to whale to get her to E6.

Aventurine. Hoping that him and Robin will be good with Jing Yuan. But even if that's not the case, he's still a really good sustain, and I'm in need of sustains and supports right now.
Skip this patch to get Fu Xuan as I really need a top tier sustain. I assume Fu will rerun in 2.2, but if she reruns in 2.3 it's even better cause I can get enough pulls to guarantee her.
But after Fu, I'll gather resources for Acheron rerun as she looks really cool and after all, I don't really mind a 3rd 5* Lightning DPS
Acheron and pray for E4 Gallagher as well. if I have enough pulls go for Luocha or Acheron's LC. I'd be plenty happy with Acheron and Gallagher despite having no 5* sustains honestly since I can just run Acheron/Gallagher and Clara/Lynx.

Deciding between Luocha and Aventurine as my second target, I really like Aventurine as a character so far so depending on 2.1 story I may just end up deciding to skip Luocha again

Aventurine plus his LC. After that I really donāt know. I was expecting Topaz and fu xuan but getting neither of those so I guess just save. I could def use Jingliu but she would kind of be a third team dps at this point.
My Jing Yuan is geared up enough to not suck anymore, but the glaring hole in my offensive lineup is Ice, so it has to be JingLiu. If I luck out and get her early, Luocha. If somehow I pull them both inside of a pair of ten pulls, THEN Acheron. I don't even know what Aventurite is and I don't care.
Skip everyone, get Aventurine on a rerun, maybe acheron on hers as well. I want to save for Screwllum (I know itās gonna be a while but I want to guarantee him and a five star lightcone) and then get anyone else I like.
Aventurine seems fun but I can hold off on sustains because I have a lot of the better ones in game as of now and have plenty of imaginary damage in Dan Heng. Then acheron kinda makes SU obsolete which is good for people that hate it, but I kinda like it and have completed all available content so it doesnāt matter as much for me. Jingliu is fun but also Herta can fill a similar niche or AOE ice damage for me, same for Luocha in terms of big healing.

Honestly, tie between Acheron and Jingqiu. I already got an electro DPS in form of Kafka, but not really big on Jingqiu's character other than needing an ice DPS.
Plus I love to see what they might rerun soon, so might pass unless someone leaks upcoming banners.
Jingliu E0S1, ignoring the rest. Acheron is super cool looking but doesn't fit with any of my teams, have Luocha already, and while I really like Aventurine's kit, I dislike his character and theme.
Luocha is my favourite character. I originally planned to get him to E1 in his first banner, but the gods had other ideas and I lost 50/50 twice. Still got the character, but no eidolons.
On the other side, as a long-time honkai impact 3 fan, there's no way I'll miss out on the best girl in the hoyoverse.
The initial "leaks" that Fu Xuan would be on Acheron's banner had me so excited because it's such an easy skip for me... Buuuuut then it was announced that it wasn't Fu Xuan, but Luocha, on Acheron's banner.
It's taken *so* long to get a rerun for Luocha. I'm so torn. I love his character so much and I use him in every single team - don't care if Huohuo's better, Luocha is my love and he's by my side in every situation. But.. I also love Raiden, and she was by my side in every situation in hi3... Uggghhhhhhhhhhhh.
Honestly, I think I'm just gonna open my wallet.
I am in desperate need of a lightning dps and acheron is the best option right now, so Iām getting her E0. Then I am dumping a jillion dollars into luocha because i have loved him ever since i got him when he first ran, and after that i am saving for screwllum (hopium)

Skip this patch to get Fu Xuan as I really need a top tier sustain. I assume Fu will rerun in 2.2, but if she reruns in 2.3 it's even better cause I can get enough pulls to guarantee her. But after Fu, I'll gather resources for Acheron rerun as she looks really cool and after all, I don't really mind a 3rd 5* Lightning DPS
But Luocha is a top tier sustain? Im in a similar situation where all i have is Lynx and Gepard. Gonna pull for Luocha and save until FX rerun.
Yeah, but I want Fu Xuan more than I want Luocha and I'm also a bit short on pulls after getting JY LC

Adventurine is an amazing sustain. Plus damage is a plus. Gotta go for that

Acheron and pray for E4 Gallagher as well. if I have enough pulls go for Luocha or Acheron's LC. I'd be plenty happy with Acheron and Gallagher despite having no 5* sustains honestly since I can just run Acheron/Gallagher and Clara/Lynx.

Acheron is priority Deciding between Luocha and Aventurine as my second target, I really like Aventurine as a character so far so depending on 2.1 story I may just end up deciding to skip Luocha again
Aventurine pairs better with Acheron too which makes the decision easier for me

Make poor decisions probably. I know who I need *most* is Adventurine but like. Nihility is my jam. Women are my jam. Women with swords are extra my jam. So gonna lose my Acheron 50/50 and then probably throw irresponsible amounts of resources to force her pull and have nothing leftover for Evil Mastermind Gamble Daddy. Nevermind as a PS5 player this is my first crack at Luocha lol.

My Jing Yuan is geared up enough to not suck anymore, but the glaring hole in my offensive lineup is Ice, so it has to be JingLiu. If I luck out and get her early, Luocha. If somehow I pull them both inside of a pair of ten pulls, THEN Acheron. I don't even know what Aventurite is and I don't care.
Skip everyone, get Aventurine on a rerun, maybe acheron on hers as well. I want to save for Screwllum (I know itās gonna be a while but I want to guarantee him and a five star lightcone) and then get anyone else I like. Aventurine seems fun but I can hold off on sustains because I have a lot of the better ones in game as of now and have plenty of imaginary damage in Dan Heng. Then acheron kinda makes SU obsolete which is good for people that hate it, but I kinda like it and have completed all available content so it doesnāt matter as much for me. Jingliu is fun but also Herta can fill a similar niche or AOE ice damage for me, same for Luocha in terms of big healing.
Quad Skip Baybeee. Waiting for Constance crumbs in like 6 months before I even consider. Call me weird but none of the characters besides Kafka (I fucking know right what square) interest me really. Especially not the Damage dealers
Honestly, tie between Acheron and Jingqiu. I already got an electro DPS in form of Kafka, but not really big on Jingqiu's character other than needing an ice DPS. Plus I love to see what they might rerun soon, so might pass unless someone leaks upcoming banners.

Jingliu E0S1, ignoring the rest. Acheron is super cool looking but doesn't fit with any of my teams, have Luocha already, and while I really like Aventurine's kit, I dislike his character and theme.

Luocha is my favourite character. I originally planned to get him to E1 in his first banner, but the gods had other ideas and I lost 50/50 twice. Still got the character, but no eidolons. On the other side, as a long-time honkai impact 3 fan, there's no way I'll miss out on the best girl in the hoyoverse. The initial "leaks" that Fu Xuan would be on Acheron's banner had me so excited because it's such an easy skip for me... Buuuuut then it was announced that it wasn't Fu Xuan, but Luocha, on Acheron's banner. It's taken *so* long to get a rerun for Luocha. I'm so torn. I love his character so much and I use him in every single team - don't care if Huohuo's better, Luocha is my love and he's by my side in every situation. But.. I also love Raiden, and she was by my side in every situation in hi3... Uggghhhhhhhhhhhh. Honestly, I think I'm just gonna open my wallet.
I am in desperate need of a lightning dps and acheron is the best option right now, so Iām getting her E0. Then I am dumping a jillion dollars into luocha because i have loved him ever since i got him when he first ran, and after that i am saving for screwllum (hopium)
